The figures are not one combined deal: most are contract ceilings, not confirmed amounts already funded or paid.
Which Lockheed Martin contracts were announced?
The announcements cover different programs, customers, contract forms and time frames. The table reports the figures as Lockheed Martin presented them; it does not treat ceilings as obligated spending.

What do the contract figures actually mean?
“Up to” is a ceiling, not a payment total
An announced ceiling states the maximum value available under the described contract or action; it does not establish how much has been obligated, delivered or paid. Lockheed Martin’s announcements provide the figures above, but they do not establish comparable award-level obligation totals across these programs.
IDIQ and UCA describe contract structures
An indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract sets terms for orders that may be placed over time. Its ceiling is not proof that all potential orders have been made. An undefinitized contract action (UCA) permits work to proceed while the parties complete contract terms; its stated maximum likewise should not be reported as cash already committed.

The PAC-3 MSE figures need separate attribution
For PAC-3 MSE, Lockheed Martin’s August announcement puts $58.62 billion in the headline, while the body describes a modification worth up to $53.86 billion. The release does not make those numbers interchangeable: identify whether a report is quoting the headline’s broader multiyear award figure or the body’s modification ceiling.
Are these one “$1B+” contract or a single spending package?
No. The headline phrase captures the scale of several separate announcements; it does not identify one award. PrSM Increment 2 is an Army missile contract, MATS IV concerns C-130J training and support, and THAAD and PAC-3 MSE are distinct interceptor programs. Their stated values should not be added together and described as new spending: the announcements cover different forms and scopes, and do not provide a consistent set of actual obligations.

What the announcements say about production and scope
Beyond procurement, the awards encompass different kinds of work. The PrSM Increment 2 IDIQ includes continued development alongside procurement and follow-on production. MATS IV covers training systems and ongoing operational, logistics and engineering support. Lockheed Martin said the THAAD initiative is intended to quadruple production, while its PAC-3 MSE release described a planned workforce increase at Camden, Arkansas. Those production and employment details are company statements, not independent measures of delivery or hiring outcomes.
In its June 24 THAAD announcement, Lockheed Martin quoted Tim Cahill, president of its Missiles and Fire Control business, describing the award as “our shared vision with the Department of War to strengthen America’s Arsenal of Freedom through a transformational shift to multiyear procurement.” That is the company’s characterization of the award.
