Can OBS stream 24/7 on YouTube?

What to check before starting either setup
Confirm YouTube channel eligibility
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours. Check readiness before planning a launch for a specific time.
Use content you have rights to stream
For LiveReacting, its guide says to use content you made, own, or are licensed to stream. Apply the same rights-first caution to a playlist streamed through OBS: possessing a video file does not by itself establish permission to broadcast it.

Plan for YouTube’s archive and DVR limits
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube recommends keeping a local archive backup if preserving the complete recording matters. It also says DVR capabilities may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. A service’s ability to keep a live feed running does not guarantee a complete YouTube replay or full rewind.

Do not rely on YouTube to preserve the whole continuous broadcast. Its stated automatic-archive behavior covers streams under 12 hours; a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. For a recording you cannot afford to lose, keep a separate local archive and test your recording workflow before the broadcast.
