Little Kitty, Big City Mobile does not currently support gamepads. Double Dagger Studio’s Mobile FAQ answers “Can I use a controller?” with “Not at this time.” The mobile release is designed around touch input, but the developer has not published a button-by-button touch map or confirmed whether on-screen controls can be moved, resized, remapped, or tuned for sensitivity. Treat it as a touchscreen game, and use the current in-game options and tutorial as the authority for the layout on your device.
What the mobile edition includes
Double Dagger Studio describes the phone and tablet edition as nearly all of the original adventure, with “controls rebuilt for mobile” and an exclusive augmented-reality (AR) mode. That wording confirms a mobile-specific input implementation rather than a direct copy of the PC or console interface. It does not, however, document the exact positions of virtual sticks, action buttons, gestures, camera controls, or menu switches.

The mobile launch date given in the studio’s Mobile FAQ is October 12, 2026. The FAQ lists iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets, with worldwide availability except China, which is scheduled for a later rollout. A studio homepage may still display “Coming to Mobile Late 2026”; the dated FAQ and a live store listing are the more specific indicators that the release has arrived. Store availability can still vary by country, account, age rating, and device.
Does Little Kitty, Big City Mobile support a controller?
No. The current official answer is “Not at this time.” That means an Xbox, PlayStation, or generic Bluetooth controller should not be treated as a supported way to play the mobile edition. Pairing a controller with your phone may succeed at the operating-system level, but that does not make the game’s mobile build recognize or map its buttons.

Controller support for another platform does not change this answer. Steam’s PC listing advertises full-controller support for the computer version; those controls are platform-specific and should not be presented as the mobile control scheme. A controller working with the PC or console release is not evidence that it works on iOS, iPadOS, or Android.
What to do if a controller appears connected
- Check the Mobile FAQ or the release notes for a later, explicit controller-support announcement.
- Do not assume that a Bluetooth pairing notification means the game is receiving input.
- If you need physical buttons, use the PC or console edition whose store page specifically lists controller support, rather than buying a mobile adapter in the hope that it will work.
How do the touch controls work?
The confirmed information is limited to the design goal: controls were rebuilt for mobile. The official pages reviewed do not publish a touch-control diagram or state whether movement uses a fixed or floating virtual stick, whether actions are tap- or swipe-based, or how the camera and AR features are invoked. Because of that, a PC or console button map would be misleading.
On first launch, follow the game’s own tutorial and pause to inspect every on-screen prompt. The layout can differ with screen size, aspect ratio, orientation, accessibility settings, or a future update. If you play on both a phone and tablet, do not assume that a control’s position or scale is identical between them.

What has not been confirmed
- The exact location and function of each virtual control.
- Whether controls are fixed to the screen or can be repositioned.
- Whether button size, opacity, or sensitivity can be changed.
- Whether actions can be remapped or assigned to custom gestures.
- Whether external keyboards, mice, styluses, or accessibility switches are supported.
Those details are not stated in the current Mobile FAQ or store material. If a setting exists in your build, rely on the label shown under the game’s current options menu; do not expect a menu path documented for another platform to match mobile.
Can you move or remap the on-screen controls?
There is no published confirmation that the mobile layout is movable, resizable, remappable, or sensitivity-adjustable. The safest procedure is to open the in-game pause or options screen and look for sections named Controls, Touch, Accessibility, or Input. If none of those sections appears, the layout is likely fixed in that version. Do not use an online PC keybinding guide as a substitute for a mobile setting.
If a control is difficult to reach, try the practical adjustments that do not depend on undocumented features: hold the device in the orientation used by the game, remove a thick case that blocks edge touches, clean and dry the screen, and increase the device’s system-level touch or display size only if that change does not interfere with other apps. These steps cannot add remapping support; they simply remove common touchscreen problems.

The table’s distinction matters when troubleshooting. A guide that says to press a particular gamepad button may be accurate for PC or console and still be completely irrelevant to a touch-only mobile build.

The US App Store listing allows a trial. In that listing, the prompt to buy the full game appears after collecting and turning in 25 Shinies to Crow. The unlock is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, and progress carries over when the full version is bought. Camera and AR features are unavailable during the trial and require the full unlock.
Pricing, taxes, currency, and trial presentation are storefront- and region-specific and can change. The developer also says the mobile edition is a separate purchase from the PC and console versions. Buying the game elsewhere does not unlock the mobile app. Purchases do not transfer between the App Store and Google Play, so changing ecosystems requires checking the account and store where the original purchase was made.

Offline play, downloads, and save transfers
An internet connection is required to download the mobile game and to buy the full version. After the game has been downloaded and fully purchased, the developer says it can be played offline. You should therefore complete the initial download, license check, and unlock while connected before travelling or relying on airplane mode.
PC and console saves cannot transfer to mobile. Starting the phone or tablet edition means beginning with the mobile installation’s own save data, even if you already finished the adventure on another platform. The absence of cross-save is separate from the purchase rule: neither a license nor progress carries across those platform boundaries.

Device and regional requirements
iPhone and iPad
The US App Store listing specifies iOS 13.0 or later and iPadOS 13.0 or later, and it gives examples of supported devices. Those examples are not a universal guarantee for every region or future update. Before installing, open the current listing in your local App Store and check the compatibility line for the exact iPhone or iPad model and operating-system version.
Android phones and tablets
The developer warns that some Android devices do not meet Google Play requirements, but the official material reviewed does not provide a single Android minimum version or a complete compatible-device list. Check the Google Play listing on the device you intend to use. If the store marks the app incompatible, sideloading an installer is not an officially documented workaround and may leave you without updates or a valid purchase path.
China and other regional availability
The Mobile FAQ says the launch is worldwide except China, which is coming later. A store page may therefore show no listing even though the game is live elsewhere. Availability, price, age rating, and payment methods are determined by the local storefront, not by the global launch date.
Touch-control troubleshooting
The game does not react to a tap
- Pause and resume once, then test the same control in another scene.
- Remove anything covering the screen edge, including a case lip or screen protector that is lifting.
- Restart the game and confirm that the device is not displaying a system dialog over it.
- Install the latest version offered by your store; the US App Store listing showed version 1.0.4 as its newest entry when checked.
If taps fail across the entire device, the problem is probably system- or hardware-level rather than a game setting. If only one virtual control fails, record the device model, operating-system version, game version, and the scene where it happens before contacting support.

A Bluetooth gamepad is connected but does nothing
That behavior is consistent with the current “Not at this time” controller status. Disconnecting and reconnecting the pad is unlikely to create support that the game does not implement. Use touch input on mobile or move to a platform whose listing explicitly supports controllers.
The game is unavailable in the store
Check the country of the store account, device compatibility, operating-system version, and parental or age restrictions. China is specifically listed as a later rollout region. Do not infer a delisting from a stale “Coming to Mobile Late 2026” message on a studio homepage when the dated FAQ and live store listing show the current release status.
Settings checklist before you start
- Update the operating system to a version accepted by your local store listing.
- Download the complete app while connected to the internet.
- Open the in-game options and note which touch or accessibility controls are actually present in your version.
- Complete the tutorial before judging the layout; prompts explain the mobile implementation better than PC control guides.
- Decide whether the trial is sufficient before buying; the full unlock is required for camera and AR features.
- Keep expectations clear: mobile purchase and saves are separate from PC and console editions.
Bottom line for prospective mobile players
Choose the mobile edition if you are comfortable playing with a touchscreen and want its exclusive AR mode. Do not buy it expecting Xbox-, PlayStation-, or Bluetooth-controller support: the developer currently says that support is unavailable. The mobile control layout is real and purpose-built, but its exact map and customization features have not been documented publicly, so verify what your own build exposes in its options menu. Confirm local store compatibility, finish the connected setup and purchase, and remember that mobile progress stays separate from PC and console saves.
