Yes—some LinkedIn members can now charge for one-to-one advice directly from their profiles. LinkedIn’s Advice Sessions feature is currently limited to invited Premium Business subscribers in the United States. Eligible hosts set a session length and price (up to $500), accept bookings and payment through Stripe Checkout, and hold the consultation using LinkedIn’s integrated video workflow. People booking a session do not need Premium, but they must have a verified profile and be in the United States.
What LinkedIn Advice Sessions are
LinkedIn describes Advice Sessions as paid advisory meetings that turn an expert’s profile into a booking page. A visitor who wants specific guidance can choose an available time, pay, receive a calendar invitation and join a video consultation without the host moving the relationship to separate scheduling, invoicing and meeting services.

LinkedIn announced Advice Sessions on October 15, 2026, alongside a creator dashboard and tests of In-Stream Ads. The company says the broader goal is to help members turn expertise, audiences and professional relationships into income. LinkedIn reports that more than 80% of its creators build content alongside another role, that the number of founders on the platform is up 70%, and that the share of members reporting more than one ongoing position has risen 26% since 2019. Those are LinkedIn-reported figures; the announcement does not provide the underlying methodology.

Who can host or book a session
Hosts
Hosting is “currently limited to invited LinkedIn Premium Business subscribers in the United States,” according to LinkedIn Help. The invitation requirement means having Premium Business alone does not guarantee access. Availability may change as LinkedIn expands or adjusts the pilot.

Bookers
A customer does not need a Premium subscription. However, LinkedIn requires the person booking to have a verified profile and to be located in the United States. This is not a globally available service at launch.
How to set up and sell an Advice Session
- Check access. An invited U.S. Premium Business account must have the Advice Sessions option available on its profile.
- Create the offer. Define the consultation duration and set a price up to $500.
- Provide recurring availability. LinkedIn uses a 30-day booking window and requires recurring availability rather than a single one-off time slot.
- Complete Stripe setup. Finish Stripe identity verification and connect a bank account. The booking button does not appear until this setup is complete.
- Accept and deliver bookings. Customers choose an open time and pay through Stripe Checkout, including Apple Pay where offered. LinkedIn then handles the calendar invitation and video-consultation flow.
Hosts should describe exactly what a paid session includes—such as a portfolio review, technical planning call or business strategy discussion—because the product supplies the transaction workflow, not a standard service definition.
Fees, payout timing and the $500 limit
The documented maximum price is $500 per session. Stripe charges a processing fee on every transaction. LinkedIn also deducts a Stripe platform fee from the session amount, but the cited Help information does not state a separate LinkedIn commission or publish an all-in fee schedule.

After that period, the host receives the session amount minus the applicable Stripe platform fee, with processing charges also applying. The 30-day delay means hosts should not treat a booking as immediately available cash.

Why the feature can strengthen professional relationships
Advice Sessions place a paid conversation at the moment a prospect discovers an expert: the LinkedIn profile. Combining profile context, scheduling, payment, calendar invitations and video reduces the handoffs that often cause a potential client to abandon a conversation. It also gives a consultant, coach, creator or founder a defined way to move from public content to a private, structured exchange.
LinkedIn’s announcement also mentions profile notes for Premium members, a Network feed test, digital business cards and pinned comments. Those tools may help maintain relationships around a consultation, but they are separate features and are not included in Advice Sessions.

How Advice Sessions compare with LinkedIn’s other creator-income tools
| Tool | Revenue action | Current access | What the creator delivers | Control and economics |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Advice Sessions | Charges for a scheduled one-to-one consultation | Invited Premium Business subscribers in the U.S.; customers must be verified U.S. members | Booking, payment and LinkedIn-hosted video consultation | Host sets the price up to $500; Stripe fees apply; payouts are delayed 30 days |
| Creator Marketplace | Enables discovery for brand partnerships | Selective access, currently in the U.S. and Canada | Brand collaboration arranged after discovery | Creators choose which content appears and can opt out; LinkedIn publishes no earnings benchmark in the cited Help material |
| In-Stream Ads | Pays eligible creators when pre-roll ads run with eligible videos | Being tested with invited U.S. creators and advertisers | Video content carrying an advertising placement | Eligibility and earnings depend on the test; no public earnings benchmark is provided |
Creator Marketplace is a different product
Creator Marketplace is accessed from LinkedIn’s Monetization tab and is a sponsorship-discovery layer, not a way to sell a paid consultation. LinkedIn Help lists example eligibility signals of 12 posts in the last 90 days, 5,000 followers, 45,000 impressions in the last 90 days and an invitation. LinkedIn warns that thresholds can change.

What LinkedIn has not established
- There is no promise that every Premium Business subscriber will receive an invitation.
- The cited material does not establish availability outside the United States for Advice Sessions.
- LinkedIn has not published an average booking rate, conversion rate, typical creator income or independent earnings study for these tools.
- A $500 ceiling is a documented maximum price, not a recommended rate or evidence that customers will pay it.
For now, Advice Sessions are best understood as a limited U.S. pilot that packages expert access, payment and video into a LinkedIn profile—not as a universally available marketplace or guaranteed new revenue stream.
