Its appeal depends on whether your build needs those connections and has the right internal USB, power cabling and mounting space. The details below are LIAN LI’s published specifications and capabilities, not results from independent testing.
What the EDGE Hub ADV adds
LIAN LI lists four USB headers and six 4-pin fan headers. The hub is designed to consolidate internal connections inside a PC rather than add external ports on the case. It is offered in black, model EG-HUB03B, and white, model EG-HUB03W. Its listed dimensions are 35 × 132 × 17 mm, and it mounts magnetically inside a case or on a power supply. LIAN LI lists a two-year warranty; confirm the terms that apply in your region.

USB and fan output specifications
LIAN LI describes the USB design as two 1-to-4 hub chips, with a USB 3.0 header signal source and a USB 2.0 9-pin fallback. The manufacturer rates USB output at 5 V and 500 mA per header, with 2.5 A total. Fan output is listed at 12 V and 2 A per fan header. These are published ratings, not independently verified load-test results.
#1 Best Overall
- ADVANCED GPU THERMAL MONITORING: Only the EDGE Hub ADV includes a sensor-equipped 12V-2x6 cable for real-time GPU connector monitoring. It supports up to two GPU connectors plus hub ambient temperature; one sensor cable is included.
- DUAL-CHIP USB ARCHITECTURE: Two parallel hub chips distribute connected USB devices across separate signal paths, helping reduce bandwidth congestion and improve connectivity in complex builds.
- REAL-TIME USB MONITORING: L-Connect 3 displays transfer rates, accumulated data usage and total hub utilization, with customizable port names for easier device identification.
- SIX PWM FAN PORTS: Six 4-pin PWM headers, each rated up to 12V DC / 2A, centralize fan connectivity and support motherboard fan-speed synchronization through the included sync cable.
- CUSTOM ALERTS AND AUTOMATIC PROTECTION: Set temperature thresholds in L-Connect 3 to receive on-screen and email alerts. If the preset limit is reached, a configurable shutdown countdown helps protect the system.
The specified inputs are 12 V / 12.5 A for fan power and 5 V / 2.5 A for USB. LIAN LI lists power input from an Edge Series power-supply connector or a PCIe 8-pin connector. Check which option your build can provide, and confirm your motherboard has a suitable internal USB connection, before buying.
What L-Connect 3 monitoring is advertised to do
LIAN LI lists per-port real-time USB bandwidth monitoring in L-Connect 3, as well as hub-wide utilization, high-load alerts, custom port names and data-loss alerts. The product page also advertises high-temperature alerts, automatic system shutdown, and temperature sensing for two GPU 12V-2×6 connectors and ambient temperature. The published information does not establish alert thresholds, measurement accuracy, or how shutdown behavior works in practice.

L-Connect 3’s software page describes fan and pump profiles, temperature-based fan curves, fixed speed and motherboard PWM sync. Those are software-level features; the available product information does not establish that every one is specific to, or guaranteed by, the EDGE Hub ADV. LIAN LI says the software runs on 64-bit Windows and advises exporting lighting and fan settings before updating it. See the official L-Connect 3 page for software details.

The product page lists these included cables:
- One 470 mm USB 9-pin-to-9-pin cable.
- One USB 3.0-to-USB 3.0 female / USB 9-pin cable, listed as 330–280 mm.
- One 550 mm 4-pin fan cable.
- One 650 mm 12V-2×6 cable with temperature sensors.
Measure the planned route from the hub to the motherboard, power source, fans and GPU connectors. Cable reach and magnetic mounting depend on the layout of the specific case and components; the listed dimensions and cable lengths do not establish universal fit.

Is the EDGE Hub ADV right for your build?
It is worth considering if you need the listed USB and fan headers in one internal hub and expect to use its advertised L-Connect monitoring. Before choosing it, check these build-specific points:
- Internal USB: Confirm your motherboard connection and planned USB devices are compatible with the hub’s stated USB architecture.
- Header count: Compare four USB headers and six fan headers with the connections you actually need.
- Power: Verify access to an Edge Series PSU connector or PCIe 8-pin power input, and account for the published output ratings.
- Routing and clearance: Check the cable paths and lengths, the 35 × 132 × 17 mm body, and a suitable magnetic mounting surface.
- Software: Decide whether L-Connect 3’s Windows-based monitoring and control features are useful for your setup.
The available product information supports a description of its published specifications, not a conclusion about real-world performance, software reliability, compatibility with every motherboard or case, current price, or value against alternatives.
