Both families are described as fully modular, ATX 3.1 units with active PFC, 110–240 Vac input, and OCP, OVP, OTP, OPP, SCP, UVP, SIP, and NLP protections. LIAN LI lists the efficiency certifications; those labels are not a substitute for independent testing. The announcement supplies no independent efficiency, acoustic, or reliability results, so it does not establish which family performs better in real use.

Does the Edge Platinum V2 fit a dual-chamber case?
LIAN LI says the L-shaped design is intended for dual-chamber cases. Its stated design rationale is that “The form factor re-orients connectors outward, keeping cable runs out of the main chamber and simplifying overall cable management.” That is the manufacturer’s design claim, not an independently verified result.

The announced dimensions are 182 × 86 × 150 mm for Edge V2 wattages. Check the PSU compartment’s dimensions, orientation, mounting arrangement, and cable clearance in your particular case before buying. The ATX 3.1 designation alone does not confirm that the L-shaped housing or connector orientation will work in a given layout.
What does the Edge Hub ADV monitor?
Both Edge hubs are intended to expand internal USB and fan connectivity. The ADV adds sensing and protective features intended to help monitor temperatures and GPU power-cable conditions. LIAN LI lists six fan headers, USB connectivity, and temperature sensing for GPU1, GPU2, and ambient conditions.

- Warranty: LIAN LI lists a two-year warranty for the ADV.
These are manufacturer-published capabilities; the announcement does not independently validate monitoring accuracy or protective behavior. Choose the ADV if you need its cable-temperature tracking, alerts, and shutdown functions. If you only need internal USB and fan expansion, the announcement does not establish a reason to choose ADV over Edge Hub V2.

LIAN LI’s table marks the Edge Gold V2 1000W (EG1000C) as including Edge Hub V2 and the 850W (EG0850C) as not including it. Confirm the exact SKU and bundle in the listing for your region rather than assuming bundle contents are universal.

Which Edge V2 model should you consider?
- Consider Platinum V2 if you want one of its 1000W, 1200W, or 1350W capacities, the manufacturer-listed Platinum efficiency tier, or the magnetic filter and cleaning reminder. The shortened cable set is specifically listed for the 1350W model.
- Consider Gold V2 if 850W or 1000W suits your system and the Gold tier meets your needs. Check the exact model listing for whether Edge Hub V2 is included.
- Check physical fit first if your case has a dual-chamber PSU layout: compare the stated dimensions and L-shaped connector orientation with the case’s mounting space and cable route.
- Consider Edge Hub ADV if its temperature sensing, GPU power-cable tracking, alerts, or automated shutdown address a specific monitoring need. Those features are separate from choosing PSU wattage or efficiency tier.
