Measure the wall, note how far people actually sit, check daylight and lamps, then match those constraints to LG’s display family, gaming requirements and current price. In LG’s US 2026 OLED range, available sizes run from 42 to 97 inches depending on the series. The OLED evo C6 covers 42, 48, 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches, while the OLED evo G6 starts at 55 inches and extends to 97 inches.
The C6 is the more flexible starting point because it spans small, medium and large rooms and is specified for 4K at 165Hz VRR. The G6 is aimed at buyers who need a premium, larger-screen option and are comfortable checking a higher launch price. Those are launch MSRPs announced by LG Electronics USA on March 5, 2026—not live retail quotes—so confirm the exact model suffix, size, specifications, stock and current price before buying.

Start with the space, not the model number
LG’s own buying guide puts the first question plainly: “What’s the right TV size for your space?” Its stated purpose is to help you choose a TV that fits the room, improves viewing and matches your lifestyle. Use that order. A television that is impressive on a product page can still overwhelm a narrow wall, sit awkwardly beside furniture or look too small from the seats you actually use.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteMeasure the wall and furniture clearance
- Measure the usable width of the wall or cabinet, not the entire wall. Leave room for the stand, soundbar, doors and ventilation.
- Measure the height from the floor or cabinet top to the bottom of the screen. Include the height of a stand if you will not wall-mount.
- Check the depth of the cabinet and the position of power and HDMI sockets. A thin panel can still require space for cables and a soundbar.
- Mark the screen’s approximate corners with tape. Sit in the seats used most often and check whether the image dominates the room or disappears into the background.
Do not rely on a universal “inches per foot” rule. The available LG material does not establish one viewing-distance formula, and room layout, eyesight, content and personal preference change the result. Use the taped outline and your real seating position instead.

Record the real seating distance
Measure from the viewer’s eye position to the screen plane, not from the coffee table or the back wall. Record the closest and farthest commonly used seats. If the range is wide, choose a size that remains comfortable for the nearest regular seat while still giving distant viewers enough detail.
Describe the room’s light
- Bright daytime room: note windows opposite or beside the screen, skylights and strong lamps. Glare and reflections may matter as much as panel size.
- Controlled or dim room: you have more freedom to prioritize the display family and cinematic viewing preferences.
- Mixed-use room: consider how the television looks during daytime news, evening films, sports and console play rather than judging it under one lighting condition.
LG’s buying guide treats display type and resolution as separate selection questions. Treat lighting as the practical test that connects those specifications to your room.
LG’s 2026 US OLED size lineup
LG’s US OLED catalog lists 42-, 48-, 55-, 65-, 77-, 83- and 97-inch options, depending on the series. That “depending on the series” qualification matters: the catalog does not say every OLED model is sold in every size.

The two dollar figures are historical launch MSRPs from LG Electronics USA, not current offers. Retail pricing, promotions and availability can change, and the starting price applies to the least expensive size or configuration in the announced range—not automatically to a 65-inch or 83-inch set.
Browse LG’s US OLED TV catalog to confirm which sizes are listed for a specific series, then open the exact size’s specification page before making a recommendation.
Which LG model should you shortlist?
Choose the OLED evo C6 when flexibility matters
The C6 is the practical first model to investigate when you have not yet settled on a room size. Its published 42- through 83-inch range covers compact spaces and most conventional living rooms. LG’s March 5, 2026 announcement also specifies 4K resolution at 165Hz variable refresh rate (VRR), a useful combination for buyers who connect a modern gaming PC or console and want high-refresh gameplay.
Do not infer that every C6 size has identical dimensions, ports, stand hardware or regional suffix. Confirm the exact size and model code on the product page. If a 42- or 48-inch set is being considered for a desk, bedroom or small apartment, compare the panel width with the furniture before assuming it will fit.

Choose the OLED evo G6 when the room supports a premium large screen
The G6 range begins at 55 inches and reaches 97 inches. That makes it a candidate for a substantial living-room installation, dedicated media room or another space where a very large screen will not dominate the nearest seats. Its announced launch starting MSRP of $2,499 is higher than the C6’s $1,399 starting MSRP, but those figures are not a current price comparison and do not describe the price of matching sizes.
Compare a G6 and C6 at the same diagonal size, with the same installation plan and the same current retailer price. A larger series is not automatically the better choice if it forces an uncomfortable viewing angle, blocks furniture or leaves too little budget for sound, cables and installation.
Consider another OLED series only with exact specifications in hand
The broader catalog confirms the available diagonal choices but does not establish a complete feature matrix for every 2026 series. If a different LG OLED model catches your eye, check its page for resolution, refresh-rate and VRR support, dimensions, stand or mount requirements, ports, warranty terms and the exact size suffix. Do not transfer a C6 feature to another series merely because both are OLED.
Match screen size to the room
Use your measurements and seating pattern to narrow the diagonal. The following framework intentionally avoids a universal distance formula.
| Room situation | Sizes to investigate first | Checks before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Desk, bedroom or compact apartment | 42 or 48 inches; sometimes 55 if the wall and seats allow it | Desk depth, close-seat comfort, viewing angle, cable clearance and whether a stand fits. |
| Typical living room | 55 or 65 inches; 77 if the wall and seating distance support it | Opposite windows, soundbar position, cabinet width and the nearest regular seat. |
| Large open-plan room | 65, 77 or 83 inches; investigate 97 only after taping the outline | Long-distance visibility, wall width, delivery path and whether the screen overwhelms adjacent furniture. |
| Dedicated media room | 77, 83 or 97 inches, subject to the actual seating layout | Rows of seats, sightlines, wall structure, installation access and total equipment budget. |
These are starting points, not guarantees. The same 65-inch panel can feel imposing from a close sofa and undersized from a deep room. The taped-outline test is more reliable than selecting a diagonal from the room’s name alone.
When a larger screen is the wrong upgrade
- The closest regular seat is so near that viewers must scan across the image.
- The wall cannot accommodate the panel, stand, soundbar and cable bend radius together.
- Windows or lamps reflect directly into the planned screen position.
- The larger diagonal consumes money needed for installation, a receiver, speakers or replacement cables.
- The delivery route includes a narrow stairwell, lift or doorway that cannot handle the packaged set.
Display type and resolution: what to verify
LG’s buying guide labels its display section “Picture quality by display: What’s different?” and treats display type as a core choice. For this purchase, identify the exact panel family first, then confirm its resolution and refresh features on the model page.
OLED
The 2026 products covered here are OLED models, including the OLED evo C6 and G6. Use the OLED catalog to check which diagonal and series are actually offered. Do not assume that a model name, suffix or size automatically carries the same specifications across the entire range.
4K resolution
The C6 announcement specifies 4K. LG’s separate explainer, What Makes a 4K TV a Good Choice?, provides LG’s consumer explanation of 4K selection. Resolution should be considered alongside screen size and seating distance: a higher-resolution panel cannot fix a screen that is physically too large for the nearest seat or too small for the farthest one.

Refresh rate and VRR
The C6 is announced with 4K at 165Hz VRR support. VRR is relevant when a compatible source changes frame rate during gameplay; confirm that your console or PC, cable and game settings can use the feature. The available announcement does not establish identical gaming specifications for the G6 or every other OLED series, so verify those separately.
Gaming checklist for an LG TV
- Write down the source devices: console model, gaming PC or streaming box.
- Check the TV’s exact page for supported resolution, refresh rate and VRR at the size you plan to buy.
- Confirm that the HDMI ports and your cables meet the source’s requirements. The supplied specifications do not identify a port count, so do not guess.
- Plan where the console or PC will sit. A long cable run, wall-mounted screen and enclosed cabinet can create installation problems.
- Test the intended seating position with the taped screen outline before paying for a large diagonal.
If high-refresh gaming is a deciding factor, the C6’s published 4K/165Hz VRR specification gives you a concrete starting point. It is still your responsibility to verify the exact size suffix and complete input specification.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Brightness, reflections and everyday viewing
Choose the screen position and display family for the light you actually have. In a bright room, move the taped outline through the planned position at different times of day and look for reflections from windows, glass doors and lamps. In a dark room, check whether the screen’s size and seating distance feel immersive without requiring head movement.
Do not turn a marketing brightness claim into a room guarantee. The cited LG material does not provide an independent comparative brightness test for these models. Your decision should be based on the room’s glare, the content you watch and the exact specifications LG publishes for the chosen size.
Wall mounting, stands and installation
LG’s catalog states that wall mounts are sold separately unless noted for OLED G-series products. That does not establish compatibility with every wall bracket. Before ordering a mount, match the bracket to the exact model manual, weight, mounting pattern and wall construction.
- Locate studs or specify the correct masonry anchor before choosing a position.
- Leave room for HDMI, power and network connectors; a flush installation can make plugs impossible to reach.
- Decide whether a soundbar will sit below the panel or attach to the wall.
- Confirm that the delivery team can navigate doors, stairs and elevators with the packaged television.
If a product page says a mount is included, verify that statement for your exact size and region. Otherwise budget for a compatible mount separately.
Budget the whole purchase, not just the panel
| Published figure | What it means | What it does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| $1,399 C6 starting MSRP | LG Electronics USA’s announced launch starting price on March 5, 2026. | Not a current retail quote, not the price of every C6 size and not a guarantee of stock. |
| $2,499 G6 starting MSRP | LG Electronics USA’s announced launch starting price on March 5, 2026. | Not a current price for a 65-, 83- or 97-inch G6 and not a like-for-like C6 comparison. |
Add the costs that are easy to overlook: a wall mount if required, delivery, installation, a soundbar or receiver, longer certified cables and furniture changes. Check multiple current retailers only after deciding the required size and exact suffix; otherwise a low headline price may refer to a different diagonal or configuration.
A purchase procedure that avoids model mistakes
- Measure: record wall width and height, cabinet depth, closest and farthest seating positions, light sources and delivery constraints.
- Shortlist diagonals: tape the corners of two or three candidate sizes and sit in every regular viewing seat.
- Choose the display family: use LG’s display and resolution guidance, then decide whether OLED is appropriate for your content and room.
- Choose a series: start with C6 for its broad size range and published 4K/165Hz VRR support; consider G6 when its larger-size range and budget fit.
- Open the exact product page: verify the full model suffix, dimensions, stand, ports, refresh and VRR behavior, warranty and included accessories.
- Check today’s price: treat the 2026 launch MSRPs as historical reference points, not an offer.
- Plan installation: verify mount compatibility, wall structure, cable routes, soundbar clearance and delivery access.
- Recheck before checkout: make sure the cart contains the measured diagonal and not a similarly named size or regional variant.
Common buying mistakes and fixes
Buying by diagonal alone
Symptom: the television technically fits the wall but feels uncomfortable from the sofa. Fix: use the taped outline and the closest regular seat before ordering.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Assuming every LG OLED has the same features
Symptom: a feature seen on the C6 is expected on another series or size. Fix: verify the exact model page; LG explicitly warns that features may differ by model and screen size.
Treating launch MSRP as a live price
Symptom: the budget is based on $1,399 or $2,499 without checking the current market. Fix: use those dated figures only as launch context and obtain a current quote for the chosen size.
Forgetting installation hardware
Symptom: the television arrives but the bracket, cable clearance or wall support is wrong. Fix: read the exact manual and confirm mount compatibility before delivery.
Choosing a gaming model without checking the whole signal chain
Symptom: the source cannot reach the advertised mode. Fix: verify the source, HDMI connection, cable and game settings together.

Where to verify LG specifications
Use LG’s TV Buying Guide for the company’s selection framework, including the room-size prompt and display-type discussion. Check the All TVs catalog for the current US product list, and the OLED catalog for size availability by series. LG’s March 5, 2026 announcement is the source for the C6 and G6 launch ranges, gaming specification and starting MSRPs.
Availability and specifications can change. LG’s stated features may differ by model and screen size, and the cited materials are not independent hands-on testing. Treat each product page and manual as the final authority for the exact television you plan to purchase.
