LG’s Canadian product page identifies the 48-inch OLED48B6GUA as a 2026 4K Smart TV. RTINGS identifies OLED65B6GUA as its reviewed sample and says its results apply to the 48-, 55-, 77-, and 83-inch versions. That does not establish a separate measured result for each size. LG Canada’s 48-inch specifications and RTINGS’ B6 review are useful starting points for confirming what each source covers.
What features does the B6 offer?
LG lists an α8 AI Processor 4K Gen3, a native 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Atmos, FILMMAKER MODE, and webOS 26 on its detailed Canadian 48-inch specification page. That page lists Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG support. LG’s US product listings also advertise Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, OLED Care, and gaming features. These are manufacturer specifications and claims; they are not independent measurements of picture quality or response time.

LG advertises a 0.1ms response time on its US listings. Treat that as a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee of end-to-end input latency or a substitute for independent testing. Likewise, support for an HDR format says the set can accept that format; it does not by itself indicate how bright HDR highlights will look.
How is it for gaming and connectivity?
RTINGS lists four HDMI 2.1 ports rated at 48Gbps. Tom’s Guide reports four HDMI 2.1 inputs, with one supporting eARC, as well as two USB-A ports and Ethernet. TechRadar describes 4K at 120Hz, variable refresh rate (VRR), HGiG, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Dolby Vision Gaming support on the HDMI 2.1 inputs.
LG advertises G-Sync and FreeSync Premium support on its US listings. These features, along with 120Hz refresh and VRR, make the B6 a plausible match for current consoles and compatible PCs. For a soundbar, the reported eARC connection is the relevant HDMI feature. Because a complete port map for every regional version was not established, consult the manual for your exact SKU if the location of a particular connection matters.

Is the B6 bright enough for your room?
Room lighting is the main qualification to weigh. RTINGS describes the B6’s SDR brightness as mediocre and warns that it may not overcome significant glare in a bright room. Tom’s Guide measured 253 nits in its SDR testing; that is Tom’s Guide’s test result, not an LG rating or a guaranteed result for every viewing mode, unit, or size.
If the television will face windows or strong daytime light, compare the B6’s brightness and reflection handling with the alternatives in person or through comparable independent reviews. A darker or controllable room is a more natural fit for a set whose SDR brightness reviewers characterize as limited. The 253-nit figure is one publication’s SDR measurement, so it should not be treated as a direct measure of HDR performance.
How does it compare with the LG C6 and G6?
The clearest supported trade-off is brightness: RTINGS says the difference becomes more material as the higher-end C6 and G6 tiers add brighter panel technologies. The available evidence does not establish a complete, same-lab comparison across every size, firmware version, and current price, so a single universal ranking would overstate what is known.

- HDR viewing: Compare independent HDR brightness assessments, not just format support.

The 2026 LG B6 is a strong feature set on paper for buyers who want a 120Hz OLED with four HDMI 2.1 inputs, current gaming support, and Dolby formats. Its clearest drawback is the reported limitation in SDR brightness for glare-heavy rooms, while pricier C6 and G6 models may offer a more meaningful brightness step. Choose by room conditions and the actual price of the exact size and SKU, rather than assuming every B6 size or regional version is identical.
