LG’s U.S. warranty information says coverage begins on the appliance’s original delivery or purchase date and directs owners to the detailed terms for their product. The model-specific warranty controls: coverage periods and covered components can differ, so a refrigerator’s terms should not be applied to a washer, range, or another model. LG’s support page for the LRFXC2606S lists one year of parts and labor, five years of parts and labor for the sealed system, and ten years of compressor parts with five years of compressor labor. A warranty may cover a component’s parts longer than the labor needed to replace it. For example, the LRFXC2606S schedule gives compressor parts ten years of coverage but compressor labor five years. Confirm both durations for the failed component in your own warranty before arranging service.

Does LG warranty cover parts and labor?
It can, for the period and components specified in the exact product warranty. If LG determines a defect is covered during the applicable term, its limited warranty says LG may repair or replace the product. That does not mean every part, labor charge, or repair is covered for the full warranty period; check the component-specific terms and ask LG to confirm coverage for the repair.
What proof of purchase do I need for an LG warranty?
Keep the dated retailer receipt or bill of sale and, if available, the delivery ticket. Store a copy with the appliance’s full model and serial information. LG warranty documents for some products call for original retail purchase proof; one refrigerator warranty document asks owners to retain the dealer’s dated bill of sale or delivery ticket and provide a copy to the service person. A washer document specifies proof showing the model and purchase date. Requirements vary by product, so check your model’s warranty.

If you no longer have the receipt, contact LG support and ask what it will accept for your model. Do not assume a bank statement, retailer account history, gift receipt, or product registration will substitute for the required proof.
How do I request an LG appliance repair?
- Find your appliance’s full model number and gather its purchase date and proof of purchase.
- Open LG’s repair request page and select the appropriate option: start a warranty repair, start a flat-rate repair, or track a repair already in progress.
- Provide the requested product and issue details, then confirm eligibility, service availability, and any charge before scheduling.
LG says its repairs use genuine LG parts and accessories. A warranty repair and a paid flat-rate repair are different service routes; confirm which one applies before booking.

Flat-rate and other out-of-warranty service
LG describes its Flat-Rate Repair Program as an all-inclusive paid repair covering required parts and labor, with a 90-day warranty from the repair date. Prices and availability can change, so check the current page or confirm the quote when scheduling. LG’s warranty-information page also describes Direct Service for out-of-warranty repairs and says the diagnostic fee may be waived if you proceed; verify the current fee and eligibility with LG.
Manufacturer warranty versus Premium Care
LG Premium Care is an optional protection plan, not the manufacturer warranty. LG identifies Asurion Service Plans, Inc. as the plan obligor in most listed jurisdictions and Asurion Service Plans of Florida, Inc. in Florida. Read the current plan terms for state-specific coverage, exclusions, and obligations.
