“See LF AI & Data Day – ONNX Community Meetup – Silicon Valley at LF Online Community” refers primarily to the Wednesday, June 28, 2023 ONNX community event. The LF AI & Data Foundation sponsored it, NVIDIA hosted the in-person gathering at its Santa Clara campus, and organizers offered an online livestream. The event is historical; registration and attendance for that edition are no longer open.
What the title identifies
The wording matches the LF Online Community listing for the 2023 Silicon Valley ONNX Community Meetup. It was a community-focused event for people using ONNX in services and applications, building software or hardware that supports ONNX, or contributing to the project. ONNX describes itself as an open standard for machine-learning interoperability.
The program combined project and ecosystem updates with practical community discussion rather than a commercial product launch. Planned elements included partner and user stories, lightning talks on ONNX applications, networking, Special Interest Group (SIG) and working-group updates, question-and-answer time, and a roundtable.

How the 2023 meetup was organized
Community and ecosystem updates
Attendees were expected to hear project news and updates from ONNX SIGs and working groups. These sessions are useful for contributors and implementers who need to understand where interoperability work is heading.
User, partner, and application stories
User and partner presentations connected the standard to deployed services, supporting software, and hardware. Lightning talks provided shorter examples of ONNX applications.
#1 Best Overall
Discussion and networking
The agenda included networking, a wrap-up with Q&A, and a roundtable discussion. That format gave participants opportunities to raise implementation questions and compare experiences with other ONNX users.
Do not confuse it with the 2022 ONNX Community Day
Official ONNX and LF AI & Data Foundation records also describe a closely named Silicon Valley edition held one year earlier. It was a separate event, with a different host and agenda emphasis.

The similar names do not mean the 2023 event occurred in 2022: they are annual editions recorded separately by the organizers.

No. Both editions are marked as past events, so their original registration and livestream access should not be treated as current opportunities. The official ONNX archive reported that 2022 presentations and recordings became available in July 2022 and that 2023 videos were online by July 2023. Those notices establish that recordings were posted after each event, but they do not guarantee that the original video links remain available today.
Who would have benefited from the meetup?
- ONNX users integrating models into services or applications
- Developers of software runtimes, conversion tools, and other ONNX-supporting projects
- Hardware teams implementing or optimizing ONNX support
- Contributors following SIG, working-group, and interoperability discussions
- Practitioners looking for real user and partner examples rather than a product-sales presentation
What the event was—and was not
This was a technical community meetup centered on the ONNX ecosystem. The published material establishes event logistics and agenda themes, but it does not provide a standalone benchmark, a named statistical result, or a substantive attributed speaker quotation. Claims about performance gains or product superiority should not be inferred from the event listing.
