That is a dated national estimate for one version of the sedan, not a guaranteed offer or a value that applies to every LS 500. Your car’s year, trim, mileage, condition, location, options and the kind of sale all affect the result.
What is a Lexus LS 500 worth?
There is no single resale price for the Lexus LS 500. A private-party estimate, a dealer trade-in figure and a dealer purchase price describe different transactions; a depreciation forecast is different again. For a useful comparison, match the car’s model year and trim, mileage and condition assumptions, region, estimate date and transaction type as closely as possible.

Kelley Blue Book’s national estimates are time-sensitive and the site says they update weekly. Its 2021 figures below are based on good condition, typical mileage and national averages; actual values vary by mileage, condition and location. How much has the LS 500 depreciated?
The 2024 KBB example shows an 18% decline from the listed original MSRP after two years. It is a useful illustration of depreciation, but it is not a universal rate: another model year, trim, mileage or market can produce a different result.

For context, Lexus announced a starting MSRP of $80,685 for the 2024 LS 500 and $115,560 for the 2024 LS 500h. Its 2025 announcement lists starting MSRPs of $81,685 and $116,560, respectively, and says the 2025 LS carries over unchanged from the previous model year. These manufacturer prices establish new-car starting points, not used-market values; options, destination charges and original transaction terms can change the cost against which depreciation is measured. Edmunds models a 2021 LS 500 F SPORT AWD with no options at $37,392 in 2022, $32,263 in 2023, $27,528 in 2024, $22,791 in 2025 and $19,681 in 2026. Why your LS 500’s value may differ
- Model year and trim: LS 500 and LS 500h are different versions, and F SPORT configurations have distinct valuations.
- Mileage and condition: A vehicle’s use and physical condition can move its value away from a typical-mileage, good-condition estimate.
- Location and options: Regional markets and equipment affect the price a buyer or dealer may offer.
- Transaction type: Trade-in, private-party and dealer purchase figures are not interchangeable.
- Estimate date and method: Market estimates change, while forecast tables rely on model-specific assumptions rather than recording an actual sale.
How to estimate your own LS 500’s resale value
- Identify the exact car: Confirm model year, LS 500 or LS 500h, trim, drivetrain, options and mileage.
- Describe its condition accurately: Use the valuation provider’s condition categories rather than assuming the vehicle matches a typical example.
- Choose the transaction you mean: Look up trade-in value if you plan to trade it, or private-party value if you plan to sell directly. Treat a dealer purchase figure or depreciation forecast as a separate measure.
- Use current estimates for your location: Enter the car’s details in a valuation service and note the date and assumptions. For local results, compare more than one estimate using the same vehicle details and transaction type.
- Keep the comparison consistent: When checking estimates from different providers, align year, trim, mileage, condition, region, date and value definition. Differences can reflect methodology as well as market movement.
