The Levoit EverestAir-P is a feature-rich air purifier with a manufacturer-listed CADR of 354 CFM, app and voice controls, and a washable pre-filter. Its headline room-size numbers need context: Levoit lists 2,635 square feet at one air change per hour (ACH), but 549 square feet at 4.8 ACH. The larger figure describes less frequent air cleaning, not the same cleaning rate across a bigger room.
What the EverestAir-P is—and which model the review covers
Levoit identifies the EverestAir-P Smart Air Purifier as model LAP-EL551S-AUS. The independent TechRadar review is titled for the EverestAir and identifies the reviewed model as LAP-EL551S-AUS, matching the suffix on Levoit’s EverestAir-P product page. That makes the review relevant to this variant, but its home observations should still be attributed to TechRadar rather than treated as testing of every regional version.

How to read the room-size claims
ACH means air changes per hour: the stated rate at which the purifier’s airflow is intended to process an equivalent volume of room air. Levoit’s two area figures are therefore not interchangeable. The 2,635 ft² claim is based on one air change per hour, while the 549 ft² claim is based on 4.8 air changes per hour. For a comparison focused on more frequent air cleaning, use the 549 ft² figure and compare other purifiers at the same ACH.

The 354 CFM CADR is another manufacturer-listed airflow-cleaning metric. By itself, it does not establish how quickly the unit will improve air in a particular home: room layout, ceiling height, placement, fan setting, and the pollutant involved can all affect real-world results. Levoit’s published figures should be treated as specifications, not a promise for every room.
Features and everyday operation
Levoit describes a three-stage filtration system with a washable pre-filter, readings for PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10, and a display showing clean-air percentage. It also lists a filter indicator, sleep mode, wheels, and an adjustable outlet with 45°, 60°, 75°, and 90° angles. These are listed features; the product page does not independently establish their performance.

What the independent review found
TechRadar’s October 4, 2025 review describes hands-on use of the EverestAir in the reviewer’s home. Filter replacement and ongoing upkeep
Use the exact replacement model
Levoit’s dedicated replacement-filter page names model LRF-E551-WUS and says it is compatible only with the EverestAir-P. The filter is described as a main filter with high-efficiency activated carbon. Use the model number to check compatibility rather than assuming a similarly sized or named filter will fit.

Replacement timing and pre-filter cleaning
Levoit estimates about 12–15 months of service for the main filter and recommends cleaning the washable pre-filter every 2–4 weeks. The replacement interval is an estimate, not a guarantee; actual service life may vary with use and conditions. The available information does not establish how the filter-life indicator determines when replacement is due or provide an independent filter-life test.

Replace the filter and reset the indicator
- Unplug the purifier.
- Remove the front cover and take out the old filter.
- Unwrap the replacement filter and install it, then reinstall the pre-filter and front cover.
- Hold the Filter Info Button for three seconds to reset the filter indicator.
Levoit’s replacement-filter page showed a regular price of $99.99 when surfaced; that price can change. The recurring filter cost is worth including in the ownership decision, particularly if you expect to run the purifier continuously.
Is the EverestAir-P worth considering?
It is a plausible fit if you value app and voice control, onboard particle readings, movable wheels, adjustable outlet angles, and a washable pre-filter in one unit. The key buying check is whether its 549 ft² rating at 4.8 ACH matches the room and cleaning rate you want—not whether the larger 2,635 ft² number sounds sufficient. Also account for the model-specific replacement filter and its estimated replacement interval.
For a meaningful comparison with another purifier, compare CADR and room coverage at the same ACH, noise at comparable operating settings, dimensions and mobility, sensor and control features, and replacement-filter cost and compatibility. The available figures do not support a current competitor ranking or a direct head-to-head verdict.
