The Lenovo Pro 9i Aura Edition (16-inch Intel)—still called the Yoga Pro 9i in some model references—is a powerful multimedia laptop whose appeal rests on a bright OLED touchscreen, discrete Nvidia graphics and a useful built-in port selection. It is a stronger fit for creators who need those features than for frequent travelers: Notebookcheck’s reviewed configuration was expensive at review time, and its updated battery test came in just under 10 hours.
What is the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Gen 11 called now?
Lenovo’s current US product page uses the name “Lenovo Pro 9i Aura Edition (16″ Intel) Laptop.” Notebookcheck identifies its reviewed system as the Pro 9 16IPH11 and describes it as the Pro 9i Aura Edition 16 G11, successor to the 2025 Yoga Pro 9i 16IAH G10 Aura. In other words, Lenovo has dropped “Yoga” from its current US Gen 11 product naming, although the older Yoga name remains common in model references. Names and configurations can differ by region. Lenovo’s product page and Notebookcheck’s review use their respective naming conventions.

Which configuration did Notebookcheck review?
The review findings apply to a specific high-end configuration, not every Pro 9i Gen 11. Notebookcheck tested an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with 8 GB of VRAM, 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory, a 1 TB SSD and a 16-inch 3,200 × 2,000, 120 Hz Tandem OLED touchscreen. The review lists the tested RTX 5060 graphics configuration at 100 W TDP. Lower-end SKUs use RTX 5050 graphics or a 2,880 × 1,800 OLED panel; availability of combinations depends on the market. Notebookcheck’s review
Before comparing prices or deciding whether the laptop meets your needs, check the exact regional SKU. A Pro 9i with an RTX 5050 and the lower-resolution OLED is not the same proposition as the RTX 5060 review unit.

How good is the OLED screen?
Lenovo documents two 16-inch OLED choices, both rated at 120 Hz: 2,880 × 1,800 and 3,200 × 2,000. The higher-resolution Tandem OLED reviewed by Notebookcheck is the standout option. Lenovo specifies brightness up to 1,000 nits in SDR and 1,600 nits in HDR; Notebookcheck measured a maximum center brightness of 931 nits in SDR and 1,480 nits in HDR on its test unit. Those are different kinds of figures: the first are manufacturer maximum claims for the panel, while the latter are measurements from one review sample.
Notebookcheck measured 100% sRGB, 98.8% Display P3 and 95.7% AdobeRGB coverage on that panel. This combination of brightness and color coverage makes the premium display attractive for multimedia work, but results describe the reviewed screen, not every resolution or panel option. How fast is it, and what are the trade-offs?
The RTX 5060 gives the reviewed system discrete graphics for workloads that can use a laptop GPU. Notebookcheck characterizes the machine as a strong 16-inch multimedia laptop, but reports that the Core Ultra 9 386H performs almost the same as the previous generation’s Core Ultra 9 285H in its comparison. The available GPU and display choices are also similar to those of the prior generation, so the newer CPU does not by itself establish a major reason to upgrade.

Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Notebookcheck flags fan noise in performance mode, higher weight, shorter battery life than some competitors, and the removal of the numpad as drawbacks. These matter differently by use: fan noise is most relevant under sustained heavy workloads, while weight and battery life affect people who carry the laptop or work away from an outlet. Buyers who do not need discrete graphics or a premium OLED may find a quieter, more travel-friendly system a better match. Notebookcheck points to the Dell XPS 16 and MSI Prestige 16 as alternatives, but the right comparison depends on the exact configuration and priorities. Notebookcheck’s review

How long does the battery last?
Notebookcheck updated its Wi-Fi web-surfing result on May 3, 2026, after retesting: 9 hours 51 minutes with brightness set to 150 nits, refresh rate fixed at 60 Hz and Nvidia graphics set to Automatic. The review’s comparison table lists 9.9 hours for the Gen 11, about 10.7 hours for the prior Yoga Pro 9i Gen 10, 10.3 hours for the Dell XPS 16 and 16.5 hours for the MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo under Notebookcheck’s test. These are results from that publication’s stated test, not guarantees of runtime in everyday use; workload, brightness, refresh rate and graphics settings can change endurance. Does it have the ports and upgrade options creators need?
The built-in selection covers common camera, display and peripheral connections without making a hub the default requirement. Lenovo’s guide lists two USB-A ports, two multifunction USB-C ports supporting USB4/Thunderbolt 4, DisplayPort 2.1 and USB Power Delivery, HDMI, a full-size SD card reader and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Notebookcheck also tested the SD reader and describes the port selection as a strength. Actual connection speeds depend on the device and cable attached. Storage has more flexibility than memory. The guide lists two M.2 SSD slots: one for a 2242 drive and another that accepts 2280 or 2242 drives. It also lists LPDDR5X memory as soldered, with no memory slots. That means an additional or replacement SSD may be possible, subject to the exact unit and drive compatibility, but a RAM upgrade is not. The chassis is about 360.6 mm wide by 247.9 mm deep and 17.3–17.6 mm thick depending on configuration; Lenovo lists a 92.5 Wh battery. Lenovo’s hardware guide
Is the price justified?
Notebookcheck’s April 29, 2026 review reported a review-era US starting price of about $2,800 for a base configuration with a 1,800p display and RTX 5050; its tested 2,000p/RTX 5060 model cost over $3,100. Those are dated review prices, not confirmed October 2026 prices or a statement about current stock. The same review’s comparison table listed a prior-generation Yoga Pro 9i configuration at $1,800, illustrating how model year and specification affect the apparent value. The premium is easiest to justify if the discrete GPU, especially bright high-resolution Tandem OLED, and broad built-in ports are all useful to your work. If one or more of those features are optional, the cost and portability trade-offs are harder to defend. That is a configuration- and workload-dependent value judgment, not a universal verdict on the product line.
Who should buy it?
- Consider it if you want a 16-inch OLED touchscreen, discrete Nvidia graphics, an SD reader and a wide selection of built-in ports in one multimedia laptop.
- Compare alternatives closely if long unplugged sessions, lower fan noise or easier carrying matter more than the reviewed model’s display and GPU features.
- Check another configuration if you are considering the entry model: the RTX 5050 and 2,880 × 1,800 panel differ from the RTX 5060 and 3,200 × 2,000 review unit.
Notebookcheck reviewer Allen Ngo summed up the tested system as “A high-end multimedia machine packed with lots of performance and a super-bright OLED touchscreen, but lacking in battery life.” That is the reviewer’s conclusion about the tested configuration, not a claim that every buyer or workload will experience it the same way.
