The Lenovo Yoga Mini Gen 11 is a compact, quiet desktop for everyday work, with enough graphics capability for some less-demanding games—not a general-purpose gaming PC. In Tom’s Guide’s month-long review, the tested Core Ultra 5 configuration ran the game Session at 1080p and was described as surprisingly playable. That single example does not establish how it performs in other games, especially demanding new releases.

What is the Lenovo Yoga Mini Gen 11?

Lenovo also identifies the product as Yoga Mini i Gen 11 (1L, 11). The company describes it as a cylindrical, 0.65-liter aluminum desktop weighing 600 grams. Lenovo’s January 2026 CES announcement positions it as a small computer for moving between a studio and home office. Lenovo’s PSREF specification record lists dimensions of 130 × 130 × 48.6 mm and a weight of around 0.6 kg for the referenced machine family.

Tom’s Guide reviewer Anthony Spadafora measured the tested unit at 5.12 × 5.12 × 1.91 inches and 1.32 pounds. Its rounded enclosure, RGB underglow, and top surface with a customizable tap control make it visually distinctive for a desktop. Spadafora found the tap-to-launch control finicky during testing; Lenovo expected a software fix, but that does not confirm the feature’s current behavior.

Which configurations are available?

Tom’s Guide’s review describes two configurations. The distinction matters most for graphics: the tested base model uses Intel Graphics, while the more expensive review configuration pairs a different processor with Intel Arc B390 graphics. These are configurations and review-era prices reported by Tom’s Guide, not live offers.

Review configuration Processor Graphics Memory Storage Review-listed price
Tested/base Intel Core Ultra 5 325 Intel Graphics 16GB LPDDR5X 512GB $999
Higher Intel Core Ultra X7 358H Intel Arc B390 32GB LPDDR5X 1TB $1,489

Tom’s Guide reported those prices in its 2026 review and noted a steep increase from the original starting price. They are historical context, not current quotes. Availability, prices, and exact components can differ by market and SKU; Lenovo’s Spain product page likewise cautions that offers and specifications may change. Check the precise regional configuration before buying.

Is the Lenovo Yoga Mini Gen 11 good for gaming?

It may suit casual play if you choose games carefully, but the evidence supports a narrow claim. Tom’s Guide’s reviewer played Session at 1080p on the base Core Ultra 5 system and found it “surprisingly” playable. The review cautions that gaming results vary significantly by game and points to older or less-demanding titles as the sensible target. It does not provide a multi-game test matrix, frame rates, or evidence that demanding current AAA games run well.

Do not confuse the base model’s Intel Graphics with the Arc B390 in the higher configuration. The Session result applies to the tested base machine; it is not a benchmark for every configuration or game. If gaming is a priority, look for independent tests of the exact SKU and titles you intend to play rather than relying on the “playable 1080p” description alone.

How does performance compare with a Mac mini?

In Tom’s Guide’s 2026 lab testing, the Yoga Mini delivered capable everyday performance but trailed both comparison systems on the cited CPU and file-copy results. These figures are Tom’s Guide measurements, not manufacturer claims; Geekbench results are from version 6.7.

Geekom A9 Max 2026 Edition 2,910 12,476 1,550.6 MBps 3:30

The benchmark gap does not mean the Lenovo is sluggish in ordinary use. Spadafora reported smooth handling of a workflow with many browser tabs and light GIMP photo editing, and described the fan as virtually silent during daily use. Those are observations from his month with the reviewed unit, rather than controlled noise or workload measurements.

What ports and desk features does it offer?

Lenovo lists two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two full-function USB-C Gen 2 ports, USB-A, and HDMI, with support for up to four high-resolution displays. Tom’s Guide also lists 2.5Gb Ethernet and a headphone jack. Port layouts can vary by regional SKU, so confirm the listing for the actual machine you are considering.

Can you upgrade the Yoga Mini’s RAM or SSD?

The memory is soldered to the system board and is not upgradable, according to Lenovo’s PSREF; the cited record lists 32GB as the maximum. Choose the memory capacity you expect to need when purchasing, and verify it against the exact SKU because regional configurations can differ.

LAPGEAR Home Office Lap Desk – Pink, Fits 15.6” Laptops
  • Spacious Design: Measuring 21.1" wide and 12" deep, our lap desk comfortably fits most laptops up to 15.6". Extra room for accessories ensures convenience.
  • Enhanced Functionality: Packed with handy features, including a 5x9" precision tracking mouse pad and a built-in phone slot for seamless work or video calls. Plus, enjoy laptop support with the integrated device ledge.

  • On-the-Go Convenience: With an integrated handle and lightweight design (2.14 lbs), our lap desk is portable for travel or moving around the house, offering flexibility in any space.

Storage is more flexible: Lenovo lists one M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 SSD slot, with support up to 2TB in the referenced specification. Since there is no second M.2 slot, replacing the installed drive means cloning it first if you want to preserve its contents. Tom’s Guide found access awkward: its reviewer needed suction to lift the top. Treat that as a serviceability caveat, not a Lenovo-approved opening method.

Is the Lenovo Yoga Mini Gen 11 worth it?

It is most compelling if you want a very small, quiet desktop with useful display and peripheral connections, and your work is primarily everyday computing. Its limited, game-specific 1080p evidence is a bonus for occasional play, not a reason to buy it as a gaming machine. The higher configuration’s Arc B390 is a materially different graphics option from the base system’s Intel Graphics, while the review’s benchmark results place the Yoga Mini behind the Mac mini M4 and Geekom A9 Max 2026 Edition on the reported tests.

Value depends on the actual price of the configuration available in your region. Compare current offers and the exact processor, graphics, memory, and SSD—not the review-era prices alone. The trade-offs to weigh are soldered RAM, awkward storage access, and a single SSD slot against the small enclosure, quiet daily operation, and broad connectivity.
