The Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition 14 (Gen 10) is a polished premium convertible whose strongest case is its OLED touchscreen, flexible 360-degree design and high-quality construction. The trade-off is value: reviewers praise the screen and build, but report that its efficiency-focused processor does not deliver top-end performance for the price. The review evidence here concerns the 2025 Gen 10 model, not the Gen 11 announced in 2026.
Which Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition 14 is this?
This review covers the 14-inch Gen 10, also identified as model 14ILL10. RTINGS tested type 14ILL10/83LC0005US with an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, 1TB of storage and a 2880 × 1800 OLED touchscreen running at 120Hz. RTINGS also lists a 3840 × 2400 OLED option at 60Hz, so check the exact regional listing: screen resolution and refresh rate vary by configuration. RTINGS’ Gen 10 review and comparison

What make the screen and convertible design stand out?
OLED for vivid viewing
Reviewers describe the OLED display as a highlight. Tom’s Guide measured an average brightness of 420.6 nits in its 2025 review test and reported strong color coverage. That result belongs to Tom’s Guide’s test conditions; it is not a brightness guarantee for every unit or a peak-brightness specification. Tom’s Guide’s review and test results

The 360-degree hinge lets the screen fold back for tablet, tent and presentation-style use as well as conventional laptop mode. Touch is useful for direct navigation and drawing; a stylus can make handwritten notes or sketching more natural. Tom’s Hardware describes the hinge as doubling as a soundbar. Its review configuration included a color-matched stylus, but included accessories can vary with the package and region, so verify the listing before buying. Tom’s Hardware’s Gen 10 review

How fast is it, and how long does the battery last?
The Core Ultra 7 258V configuration is best understood as an efficiency-minded premium ultraportable rather than a top-performance workstation. Tom’s Guide’s 2025 tests recorded Geekbench 6 scores of 2,751 single-core and 11,059 multicore. Those are results from its reviewed machine and benchmark run, not a promise for every configuration. The publication judged that the processor’s emphasis on efficiency came at the expense of top-end performance, a consideration for demanding sustained workloads.
Tom’s Guide recorded 12 hours and 47 minutes in its battery test. That is a lab result under its test protocol, not a guaranteed duration: screen settings, workload, wireless use and configuration affect real-world runtime. Lenovo’s support guide lists a 75Wh battery capacity. Lenovo support manuals and hardware guides

What ports and upgrade options does it have?
On the configuration reviewed by Tom’s Hardware, the port selection includes two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, one USB-A port, one additional USB-C port and a headphone jack. That combination covers common peripherals while offering Thunderbolt connectivity, but people who rely on particular displays or accessories should confirm port placement and supported connections for their exact machine.

Is the Gen 10 Yoga 9i worth its premium price?
Its appeal is tangible if you value a premium metal build, a vivid OLED touchscreen and the flexibility to switch between laptop and tablet-style use. Tom’s Hardware praised the construction and display, while Tom’s Guide described a premium CNC-milled aluminum design and strong OLED color. These are reviewers’ assessments, not claims from an independent test of every retail configuration.
The counterargument is performance for the money. Tom’s Guide considered the laptop expensive relative to its performance, and the efficiency-oriented CPU is not the strongest fit for workloads where maximum processing speed matters most. Tom’s Hardware also flagged limited upgradeability and software streamlining concerns. Review-time prices from 2025 are historical; current price and stock were not established, so compare the price of the exact configuration available in your market rather than relying on old launch or review pricing.
How does Gen 11 differ from the reviewed Gen 10?
Lenovo announced a separate 14-inch Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition Gen 11 (14IPH11) in 2026. Lenovo’s announcement describes its 2.8K OLED touch display as reaching up to 1,100 nits peak brightness, with 100% coverage of DCI-P3, Adobe RGB and sRGB. Those are announced Gen 11 specifications, not measurements or specifications for the Gen 10 reviewed here. Check generation and model number carefully when comparing listings.
