Choose the Lenovo Legion Tab if you want a small, light tablet for gaming, travel and one-handed use. Choose the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ if you need a much larger canvas for films, reading, drawing, handwriting or split-screen work, and want an S Pen and documented IP68 protection included.
These are not direct substitutes. The Lenovo is a compact, high-refresh Android tablet; the Samsung is a large-format productivity and media tablet. The specifications below come from Lenovo’s Legion Tab PSREF dated April 25, 2025 and Samsung product information for the Galaxy Tab S10+; exact generation, country and storage or cellular configuration can change what is in the box and what the tablet costs.

The practical decision is therefore about physical format and accessories rather than a simple specification winner. A person who dislikes holding a large tablet will be happier with the Legion Tab even if the Samsung has a larger battery. Someone who annotates documents or sketches regularly may spend less overall with the Galaxy Tab S10+ because the pen is supplied.
What the two tablets actually are
Lenovo Legion Tab: a compact performance tablet
Lenovo’s April 25, 2025 PSREF identifies the product simply as “Legion Tab.” The cited configuration uses an 8.8-inch 2560×1600 TDDI LCD, weighs approximately 350g and supports dynamic 60Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz modes. That combination makes it closer to a large gaming handheld than to a conventional 11- or 12-inch Android slate. It can fit in a small bag, remain comfortable in two hands for long sessions and leave room for a phone or controller in a travel kit.

The same PSREF lists 500 nits typical brightness and 98% DCI-P3 coverage. Those are useful indicators for games, video and photographs, but they do not establish outdoor readability in direct sun or color accuracy for professional work. Lenovo does not list a water- or dust-resistance rating in the cited document, so do not treat the tablet as water resistant.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+: a large AMOLED workspace
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10+ specifications describe a 12.4-inch 2800×1752 Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The larger panel is intended for cinematic video, two-app layouts, sheet music, digital art and long-form reading where a compact screen would require more scrolling or zooming. Samsung also discloses up to 650 nits peak brightness for the S10 Series feature set.
A Samsung UK listing gives 571g for one Wi-Fi configuration. That figure is tied to that regional model, not every S10+ variant, but it illustrates the handling difference: this is a two-handed tablet or a desk device rather than something most people will hold in one hand for an entire commute.

Refresh-rate advantage: Lenovo
The Legion Tab’s 144Hz maximum and dynamic 60/120/144Hz modes are the clearest documented advantage for fast games and scrolling. A high refresh rate can make camera movement, menus and touch feedback appear smoother when a game and its frame rate support it. It also gives Lenovo a responsive feel in everyday navigation.
The available Samsung specifications used for this comparison do not state a Galaxy Tab S10+ refresh rate. Do not assume a particular number from another Galaxy model or from a retailer listing. If refresh rate is a deciding factor, verify the exact regional S10+ specification before buying.

Size, panel technology and color
The Lenovo’s LCD is smaller and easier to keep within your field of view when gaming close to your face. Its stated 98% DCI-P3 coverage suggests a broad color gamut, while the Samsung’s AMOLED technology is designed for high contrast and deep blacks. Neither figure alone predicts the better personal experience: viewing distance, ambient light, game interface scale and your sensitivity to motion or display characteristics matter.
For a split-screen document and browser, a reference image beside a drawing app, or a movie watched from across a room, the Samsung’s additional area is the decisive benefit. For portrait reading in bed or a tablet that travels daily, the Lenovo’s smaller footprint is less tiring to hold.

Gaming: when the Legion Tab makes more sense
Lenovo’s product positioning and the cited display specification align with a gaming-first use case. The lighter body reduces wrist strain during long handheld sessions, and the documented high-refresh mode is useful for titles that can render at high frame rates. The compact screen also keeps virtual controls closer to your thumbs than they would be on a large tablet.
That does not prove higher game performance. The supplied Lenovo and Samsung documents do not provide matched benchmarks, sustained-performance tests, thermal measurements or frame-rate results. Samsung’s page identifies an octa-core processor with listed clock information, but those details cannot be turned into a fair speed ranking without the corresponding Lenovo chip data and controlled testing. Choose the Legion Tab for its form factor and display behavior, not an unsupported claim that it is faster in every game.
Before buying, check the games you play for controller support, aspect-ratio behavior and graphics settings on the exact Android version. A high-refresh screen cannot make a title run at that rate if the game engine, graphics settings or thermal limits prevent it.

Productivity, drawing and media: where Samsung pulls ahead
Large-screen multitasking
The Galaxy Tab S10+’s 12.4-inch canvas gives each app more usable space in split-screen or multi-window layouts. Email beside a browser, a document beside a reference PDF, or a timeline beside a preview is more practical when neither pane is phone-sized. The trade-off is weight and desk space: a folio stand or keyboard cover becomes more useful than handheld operation.
Pen experience
Samsung lists S Pen support and describes an S Pen in the box, making the S10+ the straightforward choice for handwritten notes, markup and drawing without an accessory purchase. Samsung’s IP68 statement also covers the included pen, subject to the company’s test-condition warnings.
Lenovo’s PSREF says no pen is included. Compatible pen availability varies by country, so a Legion Tab buyer should confirm the exact supported accessory and local stock before treating it as a note-taking setup. The tablet can still be used with touch input or a compatible accessory, but the out-of-box experience is not equivalent to Samsung’s bundle.
Video and reading
The Samsung’s AMOLED panel and larger dimensions favor film watching and illustrated books, especially when the tablet is propped up. The Legion Tab is easier to hold close and easier to pack, but a smaller display shows less of a page or video at once. Select according to whether you value immersion at a stand or comfort in your hands.
Durability and use around water
Samsung documents an IP68 rating for the Galaxy Tab S10+ and its included S Pen. Samsung also warns that resistance can diminish through normal wear and advises against beach or pool use. IP68 is a laboratory classification, not permission to submerge a worn device, expose ports to salt water or ignore the care instructions.

No water- or dust-resistance rating is established for the Legion Tab in the cited Lenovo PSREF. Keep it away from rain, sinks and spills unless Lenovo’s documentation for your exact generation says otherwise. The absence of a rating is not a test result that the tablet will fail immediately; it means there is no documented protection to rely on for a purchase decision.
Battery capacity and realistic expectations
What Lenovo claims
Lenovo lists a 6,550mAh typical battery and maximum local-playback figures of 12.8 hours for video, 53.6 hours for audio and 12.3 hours for web browsing. The PSREF labels those numbers approximate and based on Lenovo’s internal testing under optimal laboratory and network conditions. Screen brightness, refresh mode, game load, wireless radios and background apps can materially reduce endurance.
What Samsung lists
Samsung gives the Galaxy Tab S10+ a 10,090mAh typical capacity and a 9,800mAh rated minimum capacity. Samsung says the typical figure comes from third-party laboratory testing and that actual battery life varies with usage and conditions. A larger capacity does not automatically mean longer runtime: the S10+’s larger, high-resolution display and different workloads also consume power.
These figures are not a controlled head-to-head runtime test. Use them to understand each model’s design and battery reserve, not to declare a winner. If endurance is critical, compare independent tests performed with the same brightness, refresh setting, network and workload.
Storage, memory and expansion
The Lenovo specification cited here lists 256GB of internal storage and microSD expansion up to 1TB. Samsung’s cited market listing offers 256GB and 512GB versions and states microSD support up to 1.5TB. Samsung notes that availability can vary by country, region or carrier.

Choose internal capacity based on games and media you keep offline. Large Android games, downloaded video and raw photographs can consume a 256GB device quickly, while a card is more useful for media libraries than for every app. Confirm whether the local tablet supports the same card limit and whether the card is sold separately.
Wireless connectivity and model variations
Lenovo’s PSREF describes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and states no WWAN support for the cited model. That means the documented Legion Tab is a Wi-Fi tablet; mobile data would require tethering or another connection method.
Samsung lists both Wi-Fi and cellular configurations by market. Do not assume that a retailer’s “Tab S10+” title identifies the radio configuration, memory, storage or included accessories. Check the model number and network bands if you need mobile data, and compare it with your carrier before ordering.
Performance and software: what is, and is not, established
The available specifications identify Samsung’s processor as an octa-core design with listed clock information, but they do not supply a matched benchmark against the Legion Tab. There is therefore no evidence here for calling the Samsung faster, the Lenovo faster, or either tablet better for a particular game on raw performance alone.
Official current software-version and security-support schedules for the exact regional SKUs were not established in the material used for this comparison. Buyers who plan to keep a tablet for many years should ask the seller or manufacturer for the support policy attached to the precise model number, rather than relying on a family-level promise.
Price, availability and the SKU check you should perform
No live prices, promotions or stock levels were verified, so this comparison cannot name a price winner. A fair shopping comparison requires the same country, similar storage, the same Wi-Fi or cellular class and a clear accounting of accessories. - Record the exact model number. Use the manufacturer’s specification page or the box label, because memory, radios, storage and weight can vary.
- Check what ships in the box. Samsung’s cited S10+ listing includes an S Pen; Lenovo’s cited PSREF does not include a pen. Chargers, covers and keyboard accessories may be separate.
- Match storage and connectivity. Compare 256GB with 256GB, or 512GB with 512GB, and Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi unless you intentionally want cellular service.
- Verify return and support terms. Confirm local warranty coverage, software-support commitments and the retailer’s return window before treating a regional listing as equivalent.
Which tablet should each type of buyer choose?
Choose the Lenovo Legion Tab when…
- You want a tablet that is easy to carry and hold for gaming or travel.
- A documented 144Hz display is more important than a large workspace.
- You prefer a compact screen for touch controls and do not need an included pen.

Choose the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ when…
