It is Lenovo’s handheld gaming PC with an 8-inch touchscreen and built-in controls. Lenovo announced a SteamOS edition alongside Windows-based options in January 2025. SteamOS is the operating system, but it does not by itself identify the processor, memory, storage, or exact regional SKU.

Lenovo’s 2025 announcement described the Legion Go S with either an AMD Ryzen Z2 Go or Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. Lenovo’s PSREF documentation distinguishes SteamOS family 8ARP1 with Ryzen Z2 Go from SteamOS family 8APU1 with Ryzen Z1 Extreme. Offerings can vary by market, so use the full model or SKU when checking a listing.
