The Lenovo Legion 5 15IAX11 is a 2026 15.3-inch gaming-laptop family, not one uniform configuration. Its headline features include a 2560 × 1600, 165 Hz OLED display and options for RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 Laptop graphics, but processor, memory, storage, and other details vary by market and SKU. The clearest review results available are for one Core Ultra 7/RTX 5070 configuration, so check the full model code before applying them to a listing.
What is the Lenovo Legion 5 15IAX11?
Lenovo markets the family as Legion 5i (15″, 11). The 15IAX11 designation covers configurable models sold in different regions; it does not guarantee the same processor, graphics, memory, storage, keyboard layout, operating system, warranty, or price. Lenovo’s specifications and market-specific model codes are listed in its PSREF product specifications. Compare the complete model code on the retailer listing with the configuration described in any review.

How good is the Legion 5 15IAX11 for gaming?
Notebookcheck’s August 29, 2026 review tested a Core Ultra 7 251HX and RTX 5070 Laptop GPU configuration with 16 GB of single-channel DDR5-5600 memory. It characterized that unit as a solid midrange gaming laptop and recorded the following results:
Rank #2
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.

- Cinebench R23 multi-core: 26,001 points.
- Cyberpunk 2077: 109.4 fps average in Notebookcheck’s ultra-setting chart.
Notebookcheck says its gaming benchmarks used discrete graphics and Performance mode. These results describe its reviewed RTX 5070 machine; they are not expected performance figures for every 15IAX11, especially a different GPU or memory configuration. Benchmark comparisons are useful only when settings, GPU power, memory, drivers, and laptop mode are comparable. Read the Notebookcheck review for its test conditions and results.

What do reviews say about the screen, noise, and audio?
OLED display
The 2560 × 1600, 165 Hz OLED is a central feature: Lenovo lists broad DCI-P3 color coverage, G-SYNC, and DisplayHDR True Black 1000. The trade-off is its glossy finish. Notebookcheck also found the reviewed screen highly reflective, so reflections may be distracting in bright rooms or near windows. Its observations are specific to the panel and review conditions.

- Note: Not suitable for MacBooks released after 2023 or devices with a protruding front camera; Not applicable to full-screen or notch-style tempered glass screen protectors; Do not use on the rear camera of the phone.

Fans and speakers
Notebookcheck reported noticeable fan noise in Performance mode and relatively weak built-in speakers on its test unit. If quiet operation or laptop speakers matter to you, look for measurements and listening impressions for the exact configuration rather than assuming the results apply identically to every SKU. An external headset or speakers are optional ways to address the audio limitation.
Battery behavior
The review praised runtime in integrated-graphics mode. That is a specific operating scenario, not a runtime figure for gaming or a guarantee of battery life across configurations. Lenovo lists an 80 Wh battery for the family.

Can you upgrade the RAM and SSD?
Lenovo documents two SODIMM slots and two M.2 storage slots—one sized for M.2 2242 and one for M.2 2280. This provides documented memory and storage expansion options, but the machine’s included modules, available capacity, and practical upgrade choices depend on the exact configuration.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Check whether the listed memory is one module or a matched pair; the US 83VK0067US example has 16 GB in a single module.
- Confirm the type and dimensions of any replacement or added SSD against the slot you intend to use.
- Check the model-specific service guidance and warranty terms before opening the laptop or installing parts.
Lenovo’s PSREF specifications document the family’s slots. Verify the exact unit and its installation requirements before buying upgrades.

What should you check before buying?
- Match the full model code. Confirm the retailer’s SKU and compare it with Lenovo’s regional listing; “15IAX11” alone does not identify the complete build.
- Verify CPU and GPU. A review of the RTX 5070 configuration is not a proxy for an RTX 5060 model, and processor options also differ.
- Check included RAM and storage. Confirm capacity, module arrangement, and SSD size rather than relying on the family maximums.
- Consider the display finish and use environment. The listed OLED is glossy; reflections may matter if you work or play in bright surroundings.
- Compare the complete purchase terms. Check the live regional price, warranty, keyboard layout, operating system, and return conditions for that exact SKU.
- Assess noise and sound needs. The cited review noted fan noise in Performance mode and weak speakers on its test machine; consider whether those trade-offs suit your use.
How much does it cost?
Notebookcheck listed its reviewed configuration at $2,300 when it was reviewed in 2026. That is a dated US price observation for that particular Ultra 7/RTX 5070 configuration, not a current quote or a price for every 15IAX11. Other review coverage and market prices vary by publication and configuration. Check current regional listings and warranty terms for the exact model code; a review collection also lists coverage from Jarrod’sTech (September 11, 2026) and Tom’s Guide (August 16, 2026): Notebookcheck’s review page.
