In its review, the laptop scored 3,299 in single-core and 12,390 in multi-core Geekbench 6 tests. Those are the outlet’s results for its review unit, not a guarantee of performance in every workload or configuration.

If you rely on a particular Windows app or peripheral, check its compatibility with Windows on ARM before buying.
Where the performance boundary shows
Tom’s Guide found that demanding video editing and heavy gaming pushed the laptop toward its limits. It is better suited to routine productivity than to workloads that depend on sustained graphics performance. The review does not establish that every demanding application will behave identically, but it does give buyers a reason to check workload-specific requirements rather than treating the general productivity results as evidence of workstation or gaming performance.

How long does the battery last?
Tom’s Guide recorded 15 hours 24 minutes in its battery test for the reviewed IdeaPad Slim 5x Gen 11. That is an independent review result, not a promised runtime or Lenovo estimate; actual battery life varies with configuration, software, wireless use, power settings and screen brightness.
Lenovo offers 54.7 Wh and 70 Wh battery options across the family. The capacity fitted to a particular laptop can therefore affect runtime, and the review result should not be applied to a different battery or screen configuration without comparable testing.

Is the display good enough?
Tom’s Guide measured 385 nits of brightness on its review unit and described the touchscreen as colorful but a little dim. That result is useful context if you work in bright surroundings, but it does not describe every panel Lenovo offers for the family.
Lenovo’s 15.3-inch specification options include a 1920 × 1200 WUXGA LCD rated at 400 nits, 120 Hz, 100% sRGB and touch, or a 2560 × 1600 OLED rated at 500 nits, 165 Hz, 100% DCI-P3, HDR True Black 500 and touch. These are family options, not a combined specification for one laptop. Confirm the panel on the exact regional SKU before comparing prices or judging the review’s display result.

What ports does it have?
Lenovo’s family datasheet lists two USB-C ports with DisplayPort 1.4 and USB Power Delivery 3.0 at 10 Gbps, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, an audio jack and a microSD card reader. IT Pro reports that the USB-C ports are USB 3.2 Gen 2 rather than USB4. That distinction matters if you use USB4 docks or peripherals: check the exact model’s port specifications and your device’s requirements.

Port selection and details can differ by SKU or market, so use the regional listing for the laptop you plan to buy rather than assuming the family datasheet guarantees every feature on every configuration.

What did the review criticize?
Tom’s Guide described the speakers and webcam as disappointments. If video calls or built-in audio are central to your work, those drawbacks deserve more weight than they might for someone who usually uses a headset or external camera. The review’s brightness measurement also makes the exact display option worth checking rather than relying on the family name alone.
How should you judge its price?
Tom’s Guide reported US review-context prices of $849 for a starting configuration and $1,379 for its highest configuration in its May 19, 2026 review. These are dated prices, not verified current retail prices. Before deciding, compare live prices for laptops with the same memory, storage, panel and battery, and confirm the full model number and regional configuration.
Useful comparison points include sustained performance for your actual apps, Windows on ARM compatibility, independently tested battery life under a disclosed method, screen type and brightness, USB-C port speed, webcam and speaker quality, portability and warranty. Tom’s Guide also reported comparison results for selected laptops, but those figures are the outlet’s tests rather than a controlled guarantee that differently configured machines are equivalent.

It may suit someone who wants a Windows laptop for documents, email, web work and general productivity, and values a touchscreen, long battery-test result and broad port selection. Its appeal is strongest when the specific configuration meets those needs at a competitive current price.
Look more closely at alternatives or verify fit before buying if you need demanding video editing or heavy gaming performance, depend on USB4 peripherals, or need a particularly bright screen. In every case, confirm the screen, memory, storage and battery on the exact SKU: the family’s maximum specifications and optional panels do not describe every unit.
