Lenovo’s IdeaPad Slim 3 Gen 11 is a family of Windows 11 laptops, marketed by Lenovo as the IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11. It spans several screen sizes, processors and regional model numbers, so the family name alone does not tell you the display, battery, memory or price. Configurations with Intel Core Ultra processors can qualify as Copilot+ PCs, while other versions use different Intel chips. The right model is a sensible choice for school, office work, browsing and video calls; it is not positioned as a gaming or professional-3D machine.
What the IdeaPad Slim 3 Gen 11 is
The Gen 11 range is Lenovo’s mainstream, portable Windows laptop family. Lenovo’s 16-inch listing describes a configurable Copilot+ PC with Windows 11 Home, Intel Core Ultra processors, 16GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen4 solid-state drive. Lenovo’s PSREF documentation for the 16-inch 16IPH11 platform lists Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 options, integrated Intel graphics and up to 49 TOPS of neural-processing performance.

“IdeaPad Slim 3 Gen 11” is therefore not one fixed specification. Before buying, record the complete model number and compare its processor, panel, RAM arrangement, SSD, battery and ports. Two laptops carrying the same family name can have materially different screens and runtimes.
Core specifications and AI features
Processors and NPU
Supported 16-inch 16IPH11 configurations use Intel Core Ultra 5 or Core Ultra 7 Series 3 processors with integrated Intel graphics. Lenovo lists neural-processing performance of up to 49 trillion operations per second (TOPS) on the platform and identifies eligible configurations as Copilot+ PCs. That is a hardware capability, not a promise that every Gen 11 model or every Windows feature reaches that figure; check the CPU in the exact SKU.
#1 Best Overall
- CPU: 12th Gen Intel Processor N100 0.8 GHz (4 Cores, 4 Threads, 6M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz).
- Screen: 15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080), Non-Touch; 88% AAR on the IdeaPad Slim 3i’s FHD LCD display, which comes with a taller 16:10 aspect ratio on the 16’’.
- RAM & Storage: 4GB DDR5 Memory; 128GB SSD Storage
- Ports: 1 x HDMI 1.4, 1 x Power in, 2 x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, 1x Headphone/mic combo, 1x SD card reader
Memory and storage
Memory implementation varies. Depending on the configuration, RAM may be soldered, socketed or a combination of both. PSREF lists up to 24GB of DDR5-5600 memory for supported 16-inch versions. It also lists two M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD slots, although slot availability and the factory drive fitted to a retail SKU still need confirmation.
For example, model 83US006DMB is specified with 16GB of DDR5-5600 and a 512GB NVMe SSD. Do not assume that every 16-inch or 15-inch model has the same upgrade path: verify whether a SODIMM socket is present and whether a second SSD bay is populated or accessible.
Display choices: why the model number matters
Panel specifications differ sharply across the range. The 16-inch 83US006DMB uses a 16-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) IPS anti-glare display rated at 400 nits and 60Hz. It is non-touch and does not support a pen.

That review is evidence for that tested configuration only, not for every IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11. If touch, a high refresh rate or pen input matters, confirm all three fields on the retailer or Lenovo specification sheet rather than relying on the family name.
Performance and battery evidence
In Tom’s Guide’s 2026 test of a 15-inch model with an Intel Core 7 350 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, the laptop scored 2,669 in Geekbench 6 single-core and 7,827 in multi-core. The same reviewed configuration lasted 10 hours 33 minutes in that publication’s web-browsing battery test. Those are useful indicators for that SKU and test method, not a family-wide battery guarantee.
The 16-inch 83US006DMB specification lists a 50Wh battery and a starting weight of 1.68kg (3.70lb). Other Gen 11 SKUs use different battery capacities, so the 50Wh figure cannot be generalized. Integrated graphics and the tested Core 7 results suit productivity workloads; they do not establish high-end gaming, workstation 3D or creator-class performance.
Ports and external displays
Lenovo’s PSREF documentation says supported platforms can drive up to three independent displays. It lists HDMI output up to 4K at 30Hz and USB-C output up to 4K at 60Hz. The practical result is that a compatible USB-C hub or monitor can extend a desk setup, but the physical port mix and video capabilities should be checked against the exact model before buying accessories.

Lenovo’s Mobile World Congress 2026 announcement said the IdeaPad Slim 3i 17-inch (11) was expected in June 2026 at an estimated starting price of €799. “Estimated” and regional are important: availability, tax, memory, storage and display can change the price.
Tom’s Guide described its tested 15-inch configuration as $1,299 at full price and approximately $799–$999 on sale. Those figures are market-specific and promotional rather than a permanent family price. Treat any shopping decision as valid only when the listing’s model number and region match the specification you intend to buy.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose a configuration
- Write down the full model number. Avoid listings that provide only “IdeaPad Slim 3 Gen 11” without a SKU.
- Choose the workload tier. Core Ultra 5 is the documented mainstream option; Core Ultra 7 provides a higher processor tier. Copilot+ and the up-to-49-TOPS NPU capability apply only to eligible Core Ultra configurations.
- Check the panel line by line. Confirm diagonal size, 1920×1200 resolution, refresh rate, brightness, touch support and pen support. The 16-inch 83US006DMB is 400-nit, 60Hz, non-touch and pen-incompatible, while a reviewed 15.3-inch model was 120Hz touch.
- Confirm upgradeability. Verify whether RAM is soldered, socketed or mixed, the maximum supported capacity, and whether one or two M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots are available.
- Match mobility needs to the SKU. Use the stated battery capacity and weight for that model only. The 50Wh and 1.68kg figures belong to 83US006DMB.
- Check connectivity for your desk. If you need two external monitors, confirm the model’s USB-C video mode, HDMI limit and any hub requirements; PSREF’s platform figures are up to 4K/60Hz over USB-C and 4K/30Hz over HDMI.
- Compare the delivered regional price. Record the currency, tax status, warranty terms and date checked. Promotional prices can disappear, and the same family name covers different hardware.
Who should buy it
Good fit
- Students needing Windows applications, documents, research, video calls and a portable screen.
- Office and home users whose work is primarily browser, email, collaboration and productivity software.
- Buyers who want a larger 16:10 display or, on selected SKUs, a 120Hz touchscreen.
Look elsewhere or specify carefully
- Gamers and 3D professionals should not treat integrated graphics as evidence of a gaming-first design.
- Anyone requiring pen input must reject non-pen models such as the documented 83US006DMB.
- People expecting a particular runtime, RAM upgrade or second SSD must verify that exact SKU rather than using family-level claims.
Bottom line
The IdeaPad Slim 3i Gen 11 can be a capable everyday Windows laptop, especially in a Core Ultra configuration with an appropriate display and 16GB or more of memory. Its value depends on the individual SKU: screen technology, battery, weight, upgradeability and price vary enough that the model number is more important than the Gen 11 label.
