The current LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series AT-ST Walker is set 75417. LEGO lists 1,513 pieces, one AT-ST Driver minifigure and a finished model measuring over 14.5 inches (37 cm) high, 8.5 inches (22 cm) long and 8.5 inches (22 cm) wide. LEGO’s US shop showed it as available now for $199.99 on October 18, 2026. That information applies to 75417, not the older UCS Imperial AT-ST 10174-1, which is a separate 2006 release and long-discontinued.
What is LEGO UCS AT-ST Walker 75417?
Set 75417 is an adult-oriented LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series model of the Imperial All Terrain Scout Transport, commonly called the AT-ST or chicken walker. It is sold as a display-focused vehicle rather than as a small play-scale interpretation. The set’s identity matters because LEGO has released more than one UCS AT-ST: the current product is 75417, while 10174-1 is the earlier Imperial AT-ST UCS release.

LEGO’s 2025 catalog and current product specification identify 75417 as a 1,513-piece build. The completed walker is designed to stand as a substantial shelf centerpiece, with an information plaque and a dedicated driver minifigure. Its opening sections and adjustable weapons provide physical interaction without changing its primary role as a large display model.

How many pieces are in the LEGO UCS AT-ST?
The current UCS AT-ST, set 75417, contains 1,513 pieces. That is LEGO’s stated count for the 2025 catalog and current product specification, so it is the appropriate number to use when comparing this boxed set with other current LEGO releases.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A piece count is useful for estimating the project’s scope, but it does not tell you how long the build will take or how difficult every section will feel. The total includes the structural elements needed to support a tall walker, the enclosed head and cockpit, the external armor, the weapon assemblies, the display plaque and the parts used for the model’s moving features. Builders should therefore treat 1,513 as a measure of the complete package, not as a count of only visible exterior panels.
For buyers checking a used copy, the number also provides a practical completeness reference. A seller may describe a set as “mostly complete” while omitting small internal or functional elements. Ask whether the original instructions, plaque, minifigure, blaster and moving-feature components are present. A missing small part can affect the finished appearance or the operation of the hatch, shutters or cannons even when the model looks nearly complete.
Which minifigure comes with 75417?
75417 includes one unique LEGO Star Wars AT-ST Driver minifigure. LEGO specifies Imperial crest printing on the driver’s arms and includes a blaster pistol. The figure is intended to complete the display scene rather than represent a large character assortment: the set contains one minifigure, not a crew pack or a group of troopers.
The driver is especially relevant when evaluating an opened or second-hand set. Confirm that the torso and arm printing match the AT-ST Driver described by LEGO and that the blaster is included. Minifigures are small, easy to separate from a boxed model and often omitted from listings that focus only on the assembled walker. If the figure is missing, the model can still be built, but the package is no longer complete as sold.

How tall and wide is the UCS AT-ST?
LEGO gives the completed 75417 model as over 14.5 inches (37 cm) high, over 8.5 inches (22 cm) long and over 8.5 inches (22 cm) wide. These are the manufacturer’s finished-model dimensions, so allow additional clearance around the stated footprint for handling and for operating the movable features.
The height is the most important planning figure. A shelf that is only slightly taller than the model can make it difficult to lift the walker out, open the top hatch or view the cockpit. Measure from the actual shelf surface to the lowest obstruction above it, including cabinet lips, lighting fixtures and shelf supports. The width and length figures describe the model’s overall envelope; leave room to rotate or reposition it without catching nearby displays.
Because the dimensions are expressed as “over” the listed measurements, they should not be treated as a guaranteed maximum to the millimeter. LEGO’s wording indicates that the model exceeds each quoted dimension. Display furniture should therefore provide a modest margin rather than fitting exactly to 14.5 by 8.5 by 8.5 inches.
What features does the current UCS AT-ST include?
Opening top hatch and two-person cockpit
The top hatch opens to reveal a detailed cockpit designed for two occupants. This is one of the set’s main display choices: you can present the walker closed for a cleaner silhouette or open the hatch to show the interior. The cockpit detail also explains why the model is deeper than a simple shell, so owners should avoid pressing on the head when opening the hatch.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

Rotating head
The AT-ST head rotates, allowing the walker to face different directions on a shelf. Rotation is useful when arranging a display with other Star Wars models because the vehicle does not have to remain square to the front edge. Move it by the head or designated structural areas with controlled pressure rather than forcing the assembly against its stop.
Viewport shutters
The viewport shutters open and close. Their position changes the expression of the vehicle and gives the front of the head a second display option. Small moving panels are also the parts most likely to be disturbed while dusting, so check that both shutters sit evenly after cleaning or moving the model.
Adjustable laser cannons
The laser cannons can be adjusted, letting you alter the walker’s stance and forward-facing profile. Set both sides deliberately when displaying the model so the front remains symmetrical, or angle them independently for a more dynamic scene. Avoid using the cannons as carrying handles; their adjustment function does not make them the safest support points for the model’s full weight.

Information plaque
An information plaque is included as part of the display presentation. LEGO describes the plaque and the unique driver minifigure as elements that complete the centerpiece. For a complete set, verify that the plaque is present and that its mounting pieces have not been substituted or lost.

Is LEGO UCS AT-ST 75417 retired?
There is no indication in the stated LEGO US listing that 75417 is retired. On October 18, 2026, LEGO’s US shop displayed the product as “Available now” at $199.99. That is a time- and market-specific observation, not a promise of continuing stock or a worldwide price. Availability can differ by country, and LEGO product pages can change from available to temporarily unavailable without the set being formally retired.
If you are buying in the United States, check the live LEGO listing for the current price and stock before ordering. In another region, use that market’s LEGO store because currency, taxes, delivery and inventory are separate. A retailer or marketplace listing marked “out of stock” does not by itself prove retirement; it may reflect that seller’s inventory rather than LEGO’s product status.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.75417 versus the retired UCS AT-ST 10174-1
Set 10174-1 should not be treated as an earlier name for 75417. BrickLink catalogs it as “Imperial AT-ST – UCS,” and GamesRadar identifies it as the first UCS AT-ST, released in 2006 and long-discontinued. It is a separate release with its own parts, packaging and secondary-market history.
| Comparison point | 75417 | 10174-1 |
|---|---|---|
| Release identity | Current LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series AT-ST Walker | Earlier “Imperial AT-ST – UCS” cataloged by BrickLink; identified by GamesRadar as the first UCS AT-ST |
| Piece count and scale | 1,513 pieces; over 14.5 in high, 8.5 in long and 8.5 in wide | Not stated in the cited catalog and historical descriptions used here; do not transfer 75417’s numbers to this set |
| Included minifigure | One unique AT-ST Driver with Imperial crest arm printing and blaster pistol | Not stated in the cited records |
| Cockpit and head functions | Opening top hatch, detailed two-person cockpit and rotating head | Not stated in the cited records |
| Viewport shutters and cannons | Opening and closing viewport shutters; adjustable laser cannons | Not stated in the cited records |
| Display plaque | Information plaque included | Not stated in the cited records |
| Status | LEGO US listing showed “Available now” on October 18, 2026 | Long-discontinued; normally a secondary-market purchase |
| Buying route | New boxed set through LEGO or a current retailer, subject to regional stock | Used or new-old-stock marketplace listing, with condition and completeness requiring verification |
The practical choice is therefore straightforward. Choose 75417 if you want the current specification, a new-box purchasing route and LEGO’s stated feature set. Consider 10174-1 only if you specifically collect the 2006 release or want its historical place as the first UCS AT-ST. Do not assume that a listing for one can supply the parts, minifigure or dimensions of the other.

How to check a second-hand listing
Retired 10174-1 listings and opened 75417 sets require more inspection than a sealed current product. Use the following checks before paying:
- Confirm the set number. Match the listing, box and instructions to 75417 or 10174-1. Similar-looking AT-ST names are not enough.
- Request clear photographs. Ask for the head, cockpit, legs, cannons, plaque and minifigure rather than relying on a single front view.
- Check moving features. Confirm that the hatch opens, the head rotates, the viewport shutters move and the laser cannons adjust on 75417.
- Verify the small inclusions. Look for the information plaque, AT-ST Driver, blaster pistol and any specialized elements needed for the display functions.
- Separate completeness from condition. A complete model may still have scratches, discoloration, dust or damaged packaging. Ask which of those conditions applies.
- Compare the seller’s price with the correct release. A premium associated with a discontinued 10174-1 should not be used to judge the value of current 75417 stock, and vice versa.
Who should buy 75417?
75417 suits an adult LEGO Star Wars collector who wants a large, recognizable Imperial vehicle with display mechanisms and a relatively contained character selection. The model’s dimensions make it more appropriate for a dedicated shelf, cabinet or desk area than for a crowded small-model display. The opening cockpit and adjustable exterior parts reward owners who like to change the presentation, while the plaque supports a static centerpiece arrangement.
It is less suitable if your priority is a large minifigure roster, compact storage or a playset built around many characters and accessories. The product is centered on one walker, one driver and the vehicle’s construction and presentation. That focus is a strength for collectors seeking a single substantial AT-ST, but it is an important expectation to set before purchase.
Bottom line on the LEGO UCS AT-ST FAQ
LEGO UCS AT-ST Walker 75417 is the current model: 1,513 pieces, one uniquely printed AT-ST Driver, a finished size above 14.5 by 8.5 by 8.5 inches, an opening two-person cockpit and several adjustable display features. LEGO US listed it at $199.99 and available on October 18, 2026. The 2006 UCS AT-ST 10174-1 is a different, long-discontinued set whose secondary-market listings must be evaluated separately.
