The LEGO PlayStation set 72306 recreates the original console and its controller as a near 1:1-scale display model. Its working Open and Power buttons, plug-in controller, and two removable game dioramas bring familiar PlayStation details into the build—but it is not a playable console.
What is LEGO PlayStation set 72306?
Announced by the LEGO Group on September 3, 2026, set 72306 is an adult-focused model of the original PlayStation and its first controller. LEGO describes it as near 1:1 scale. The completed model measures over 6 cm high, 26 cm wide, and 19 cm deep.

Those details make it a substantial display build rather than a small toy replica. Its appeal comes from recognizing the console’s shape and details, then discovering the miniature scenes inside.

The model’s Open and Power buttons work as physical features of the build, and the brick-built controller plugs into the front of the console. Opening the shell reveals two removable dioramas; they can be placed back inside or displayed separately.

This interaction recreates some of the gestures and visual cues of handling the original hardware. It does not make the model an operating PlayStation: it does not play games.
