There is no single best LEGO ONE PIECE set. Choose by budget, age guidance, build scale, favorite scene or character, and whether you want a playable model or a display centerpiece. For a first purchase, Windmill Village Hut is the lowest-priced full set at $29.99 US, The Going Merry (set 75639) is the dedicated ship choice at $139.99, and The Baratie (set 75640) is the large adult display build at $329.99. Those are LEGO US list or launch prices, not guarantees of a marketplace seller’s current price or stock.
The range is based on Netflix’s live-action series. The first wave, released August 1, 2025, adapts Season 1; six Season 2-inspired sets announced for August 1, 2026 add newer characters and locations. This guide explains how to compare every named set without treating piece count alone as a measure of value.

How to choose a LEGO ONE PIECE set
Start with the experience you want, then use price and piece count to narrow the list. A small scene can be more satisfying than a large model if you want quick play; a large restaurant or ship makes more sense when the goal is display.
1. Set a realistic budget
Use the official US price as your baseline. The range runs from $9.99 BrickHeadz figures to the $329.99 Baratie. Leave room for taxes, shipping, or a premium if a set is temporarily unavailable. A third-party listing may be cheaper, more expensive, new, used, or incomplete, so verify the seller and condition separately from LEGO’s catalog price.
#1 Best Overall
- ADVENTURE UNDER THE BIG TOP – Builders ages 8 and up put on a magical show with the LEGO ONE PIECE Buggy the Clown's Circus Tent (75637), a construction playset with a buildable transforming tent
- STRAW HAT CREW VS. BUGGY – ONE PIECE fans create epic showdowns with Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Buggy the Clown minifigures , arming them with authentic weapons for pretend battles
- ESCAPE THE PIRATE TRAPS – Kids help Luffy break free from the water tank, rescue Zoro from the spinning wheel, and save Nami from the hanging birdcage
- TRANSFORMING CIRCUS TENT – Flip the tent to create a larger arena with detachable seating sections, throne, and hidden pieces to build mini Buggy
- GIFT FOR BOYS & GIRLS – Makes an ideal birthday or any-time present for kids who love ONE PIECE figures, building toys, and creating their own anime adventures
2. Match the age guidance to the builder
Age labels are LEGO’s guidance for building complexity and suitability, not a strict statement about who is allowed to buy the set. The line spans 8+, 9+, 10+, and 18+. An adult can assemble an 8+ model, while an experienced younger builder may still need help with a 10+ or 18+ build. For a gift, treat the label as a useful difficulty signal and check whether the recipient enjoys long, repetitive construction.
3. Decide between a scene, a character, and a vehicle
- Scene builders: Windmill Village Hut, Battle at Arlong Park, Baratie, Battle at Drum Castle, and Dr. Hiriluk’s Hideout create locations for figures and play.
- Ship fans: The Going Merry is the major pirate-ship model; Garp’s Marine Battleship offers a Season 2 naval subject.
- Character-focused buyers: BrickHeadz Monkey D. Luffy and Buggy the Clown are compact display figures, while Gum-Gum Fruit and Tony Tony Chopper are larger character or prop-style builds.
4. Choose play or display first
Smaller scenes and vehicles are easier to move, rebuild, and combine during play. The Baratie is designed as an adult-scale display project, with 3,402 pieces and an 18+ label. A display model needs a stable shelf with enough depth and clearance; a play model needs accessible areas, durable connections, and space to handle minifigures.
5. Record the set number before buying
Names can look similar across a growing franchise range. Use the number on the box or product page: The Going Merry is 75639, The Baratie is 75640, and Garp’s Marine Battleship is 75646. Matching the number prevents ordering a character, accessory, or differently sized set by mistake.

Best choices by budget and purpose
Under $15: a character gift or small display
LEGO BrickHeadz Monkey D. Luffy (40799) and Buggy the Clown (40800) each launched at $9.99 US. Luffy has 136 pieces and Buggy has 176, both with 10+ guidance. They are the least expensive way into the theme, but they are stylized display figures rather than minifigure-scale locations or vehicles. Choose the character the recipient prefers; the lower piece count does not make one a universally better value.
Rank #2

About $30: a compact scene
Windmill Village Hut (75636) launched at $29.99 with 299 pieces and an 8+ label. Dr. Hiriluk’s Hideout is also listed at $29.99 with 271 pieces and 9+ guidance. Windmill Village Hut is the stronger choice for a Season 1 starting point and the younger recommended age. Dr. Hiriluk’s Hideout suits a buyer specifically interested in the Season 2-era setting. The catalog snapshot showed Windmill Village Hut out of stock and marked as retiring soon, so confirm availability before planning around it.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesAbout $55–$80: more action and more pieces
Buggy the Clown’s Circus Tent (75637) launched at $54.99, with 573 pieces and 8+ guidance. It is a natural step up from the hut for a child who wants a larger scene. At $79.99, Battle at Arlong Park (75638) has 926 pieces and a 9+ label, while the Season 2 catalog and announcement add Showdown with Captain Smoker (75644) at 733 pieces and Dorry vs. Brogy – Giants of Little Garden at 733 pieces. Select among them by story preference rather than by a small difference in piece count. The catalog snapshot showed Battle at Arlong Park out of stock and retiring soon.
About $70: character or creature display
Gum-Gum Fruit is listed at $69.99 with 482 pieces and 9+ guidance; Tony Tony Chopper is also $69.99, with 577 pieces and 9+. These are not substitutes for a full play scene. They make sense when the subject itself is the priority or when shelf space is limited to a single character or prop-style build.
About $110: a substantial Season 2 location
Battle at Drum Castle (75645) is announced at $109.99 US with 1,038 pieces and 9+ guidance. It occupies the middle ground between a starter scene and a large ship: enough parts for a longer build, but a lower commitment than The Going Merry or Baratie. It is the practical choice for a fan who wants a Season 2 setting without moving into adult-display pricing.
About $140: the pirate-ship choice
The Going Merry Pirate Ship (75639) is the clearest answer to “How much does the LEGO ONE PIECE Going Merry cost?” LEGO’s launch announcement lists $139.99 US, 1,376 pieces, and a 10+ label. Use set number 75639 when checking a product page or marketplace listing. Pick it when the ship is the central attraction, when you want a model that can be handled during play, or when a location build would not fit the recipient’s interests. The price is a LEGO US launch figure; a current seller may list a different amount.
About $180: a larger Season 2 ship
Garp’s Marine Battleship (75646) is announced at $179.99 US, with 1,705 pieces and 9+ guidance. Compared with The Going Merry, it costs more and contains more pieces while representing a different side of the story. Choose it for the Marine subject or for a larger Season 2 ship, not simply because it has a higher piece count.

- EPIC FISHMAN SHOWDOWN – Builders ages 9 and up set the stage for an epic showdown with the LEGO ONE PIECE Battle at Arlong Park (75638) building toy for kids
- JOIN THE STRAW HAT PIRATES –Kids create legendary pretend play battles using Luffy (featuring arm-lengthening pieces), Nami, Usopp, Arlong, and Chu minifigures
- PRETEND PLAY BATTLE FEATURES – Tap the top of the pagoda tower to make it explode, practice aiming at the shooting gallery, and place Arlong on his villainous throne
- AUTHENTIC DETAILS & ACCESSORIES – Set includes three "Wanted" posters, Usopp's ketchup bottle, drink shack, and Arlong's shark-themed headquarters
- GIFT FOR BOYS & GIRLS – Makes an ideal birthday or any-time present for kids who love ONE PIECE action figures, anime, and building toys
$330: the adult display centerpiece
The Baratie Floating Restaurant (75640) launched at $329.99 US with 3,402 pieces and an 18+ label. It is the largest named set in the launch wave and is intended for a serious display build. Before buying, measure the shelf, check that the finished model can remain undisturbed, and make sure the builder wants a long adult-oriented project. Its price is not a promise that every third-party listing will match LEGO’s launch price.
How to interpret price, pieces, and value
Piece count is useful for estimating build duration and physical complexity, but it does not measure the size of every element, the number of figures, the play functions, or the display impact. A hut can use larger structural parts; a character model can use specialized pieces; a ship can devote parts to internal support and shaping. Treat “pieces per dollar” only as a rough comparison within this line.
| Set | Approximate launch-price cost per piece | What the arithmetic does not tell you |
|---|---|---|
| Windmill Village Hut | About $0.10 | Scene size, figures, and availability |
| Buggy the Clown’s Circus Tent | About $0.10 | Play features and character selection |
| Battle at Arlong Park | About $0.09 | Display footprint and current stock |
| The Going Merry | About $0.10 | Ship scale and handling preference |
| The Baratie | About $0.10 | Adult build complexity and shelf space |
| BrickHeadz Monkey D. Luffy | About $0.07 | Stylized figure format |
| BrickHeadz Buggy the Clown | About $0.06 | Stylized figure format |
These figures divide the stated US launch price by the stated piece count and round to the nearest cent. They are not an independent value rating. A lower ratio can result from many small parts or a low launch price, while a higher ratio can reflect larger or specialized elements.

Choose the 2025 Season 1 wave when continuity matters
The first full LEGO ONE PIECE lineup was announced June 5, 2025 and is based on Netflix’s live-action first season. Windmill Village Hut, Buggy’s Circus Tent, Battle at Arlong Park, The Going Merry, and The Baratie let a collector build a coherent early-story display. The two BrickHeadz figures are compact additions rather than locations in that display.
Choose a 2026 set for newer characters and settings
The April 9, 2026 announcement adds six Season 2-inspired sets, with an August 1, 2026 sale date. The named options include Captain Smoker, Drum Castle, and Garp’s Marine Battleship. The official catalog also lists Gum-Gum Fruit, Tony Tony Chopper, Dorry vs. Brogy – Giants of Little Garden, and Dr. Hiriluk’s Hideout. Buy from this wave when a specific character or setting is more important than matching the original Season 1 group.

LEGO’s catalog is a point-in-time record. In the captured US listing, Windmill Village Hut and Battle at Arlong Park were shown as out of stock with retiring-soon labels. That status can change, and a retiring-soon notice does not guarantee a particular final sale date. Check the live listing immediately before purchase.

- ICONIC STRAW HAT MINIFIGURES – Builders will have fun creating pretend pirate adventures for Luffy, Shanks, and Makino minifigures

- Confirm the exact set number, not just the franchise name.
- Check whether the page says available, backordered, out of stock, or retiring soon.
- Compare the live LEGO US price with any other seller’s price; do not assume they match.
- For a marketplace listing, verify seller identity, new or used condition, sealed-box status, included instructions, and return policy.
- Inspect the delivered box and inventory before opening bags if the set is intended as a gift or collectible.
LEGO’s US prices are in dollars and should not be generalized to Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, or other regions. Taxes, shipping, currency conversion, and local release timing can change the final amount.
Fast decision paths
“I have $30 and want the safest starting point.”
Choose Windmill Village Hut if it is in stock and the recipient wants a Season 1 location. If the buyer specifically wants a Season 2 subject, choose Dr. Hiriluk’s Hideout at the listed $29.99, while checking the live page for its set number and status.
“I want the most recognizable ship.”
Choose The Going Merry, set 75639. Its $139.99 US launch price, 1,376 pieces, and 10+ guidance place it between the smaller scenes and the adult Baratie display.
“I want a large model for an adult collector.”
Choose The Baratie, set 75640, if the recipient has shelf space and wants an 18+ project. Its 3,402 pieces and $329.99 US launch price make it a major commitment rather than an impulse gift.
“I want a Season 2 ship.”
Choose Garp’s Marine Battleship, set 75646, at the announced $179.99 US price, with 1,705 pieces and 9+ guidance. It is the direct alternative to The Going Merry for a buyer whose priority is the Marine storyline.

“I want a small character gift.”
Choose the $9.99 BrickHeadz model matching the recipient’s favorite: Monkey D. Luffy (40799) or Buggy the Clown (40800). They are compact display builds, not substitutes for a full scene.
Common buying mistakes
- Confusing a launch price with today’s price: LEGO’s announcement figures are historical US launch prices. Use the live catalog for current pricing.
- Assuming the cheapest set is the best value: A $9.99 BrickHeadz figure, a $29.99 hut, and a $139.99 ship serve different purposes.
- Ignoring the age label: An 18+ set may be a poor gift for someone who wants quick play, even if they are a franchise fan.
- Buying by title alone: Confirm 75639 for The Going Merry, 75640 for The Baratie, and 75646 for Garp’s Marine Battleship.
- Overlooking shelf space: Large ships and the Baratie need a permanent, stable display area.
- Assuming stock is permanent: Out-of-stock and retiring-soon labels require a fresh check before payment.
The practical verdict
For most first-time buyers, choose by the strongest personal match: Windmill Village Hut for a low-cost Season 1 scene, Buggy’s Circus Tent for a larger child-friendly play build, The Going Merry for a pirate ship, Garp’s Marine Battleship for a Season 2 ship, and The Baratie for an adult display centerpiece. Use the official US price, age guidance, pieces, and set number to make the comparison, then verify the live listing because stock and marketplace prices are volatile.
