The 18+ display model contains 1,212 pieces, rises more than 17 inches (43 centimeters) tall, and combines a dramatic skeleton silhouette with marigolds, sugar-skull decorations and monarch butterflies. It is a substantial shelf or desk sculpture, not a small seasonal ornament.
What LEGO La Catrina 21372 is
La Catrina 21372 is an adult-oriented LEGO Ideas model designed primarily for display. Once assembled, the skeleton figure stands over 17 inches (43 cm) tall. That height, along with its broad hat, dress and flower-covered base, gives it the presence of a centerpiece for a living room, entryway or office.

The model has adjustable head and arms, so the finished figure can be posed in more than one way. A second monarch butterfly can also be placed in her hand. Those movable parts make the build useful beyond a single photo or holiday arrangement: you can change the pose when moving it between a Halloween display and a year-round collection.
Why it fits Halloween—and why it is not simply a Halloween set
LEGO sells 21372 in its Halloween merchandising collection, which makes it an obvious choice for October decorating. The visual cues are immediately recognizable as seasonal: a tall skeleton, a theatrical black-and-white figure and a silhouette that reads clearly across a room.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
LEGO’s product description, however, identifies the decoration as inspired by the rich visual traditions of Mexican culture and presents it as a Día de los Muertos decoration. Día de los Muertos and Halloween are different traditions, so the most accurate description is that Halloween is the shopping and seasonal context, while Día de los Muertos is the cultural and design context. The set should not be described as an authoritative representation of Mexican tradition; its framing comes from LEGO’s own stated inspiration.
The product copy includes the line, “Even in death, La Catrina smiles.” That is LEGO wording, not a quotation attributed to a named designer or cultural authority.

Design details that make the model distinctive
- Brick-built marigolds: Flowers appear on the figure and around the base, providing the strongest color contrast against the skeleton.
- Printed sugar-skull decorations: Printed elements decorate the hat and dress, giving the model detail that would be difficult to reproduce with plain bricks alone.
- Monarch butterflies: One butterfly is built into the display, while a second can be positioned in La Catrina’s hand.
- Poseable construction: The head and arms can be adjusted, allowing alternate display positions.
Together, these features make 21372 more than a generic spooky figure. The flowers, skull motifs and butterflies are integral to its visual language, while the scale gives the finished build the impact expected from an adult display set.

How many pieces and how tall is La Catrina?
LEGO Ideas La Catrina 21372 has 1,212 pieces and stands over 17 inches (43 cm) tall when complete. Those dimensions matter when choosing a display location: measure the shelf depth and the vertical clearance around lamps, cabinets or wall shelving before opening the box. Where to buy LEGO La Catrina 21372
For shopping searches, use the exact phrase “LEGO Ideas La Catrina 21372”. Check the official LEGO shop or major retailers for live stock and region-specific pricing, because availability can change and the set’s placement in a Halloween collection does not guarantee year-round inventory.
An official Mexico Halloween collection page captured a price of MXN 2,999. That is a Mexico-region observation from the captured page, not a universal recommended price, and it should be refreshed before publication or converted only with a dated exchange rate. Buyers elsewhere should rely on their local listing rather than converting this figure informally.

Who should buy it?
- Best match: Adult builders who want a large seasonal centerpiece that can remain on display after Halloween.
- Good gift choice: Someone interested in Día de los Muertos imagery, LEGO Ideas models or highly visible shelf sculptures.
- Consider another format: Builders with limited space, or collectors seeking a small figure, may prefer the compact proportions of the retired 40492 if they can find it at a reasonable collector price.
For Halloween, 21372 supplies the dramatic silhouette people expect. For Día de los Muertos, its marigolds, sugar-skull prints and butterflies provide the cultural design references LEGO highlights. Treating those as related but distinct contexts is the clearest way to understand what the set is trying to be.
