LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight lists presets for vision, hearing, motor access, and motion sickness, alongside individual options for text, audio, camera, button inputs, timing, and challenge. These are starting points—not fixed configurations or a single best setup.
What should I change first?
- Choose a starting point: At first launch, explore Vision Accessibility, Hearing Accessibility, Motor Accessibility, or Motion Sickness. You can then tailor individual settings rather than assuming a preset covers every need.
- Address the biggest barrier: If reading or seeing action is difficult, start with text, subtitles, contrast, or camera options. If listening is difficult, check dialogue levels, captions, and audio description. If repeated inputs or fast timing are a problem, look at remapping, One Touch Interactions, gameplay speed, and QTE settings.
- Try the change in play: Pause to adjust settings and review tutorials or tips. The game can be paused during gameplay and cinematics, according to WB Games.
The game combines combat chains, takedowns, gadgets, puzzles, exploration, and vehicles. Its seven base playable characters have distinct skills, progression trees, combos, and gadgets, so a camera or input setup that feels comfortable in one situation may not suit another. Can I change subtitles and captions?
Yes. WB Games lists three options each for text size and subtitle size. Subtitles transcribe main and ambient dialogue and show speaker names; their background opacity is adjustable. A speech text log lets you review recent dialogue.
For sound cues, the feature list includes captions for key sound effects and voice-over icons. These are separate from dialogue subtitles, so check both if you rely on written information to follow what is happening.

What visual and camera settings can I adjust?
High Contrast Mode lets you adjust colors and outlines. Its background fades by default, with an option to restore it. The game also lists color-coded information paired with a second feedback method, such as shapes, plus adjustable full-screen effects and HUD and marker visibility.
For camera comfort or visibility, the documented options include field of view, dynamic field-of-view adjustments, camera shake controls, a center dot, and third-person camera recentering. Make changes one at a time so you can tell which option helps.

Which sound settings help me follow dialogue and effects?
Separate sliders are listed for master volume, music, effects, and dialogue. Try lowering music or effects relative to dialogue if speech is hard to hear. Night Mode reduces differences between loud and quiet sounds, while audio description is available during cinematics. Audio profiles include Mono.

Can I remap controls?
WB Games says gameplay inputs can be remapped, with map and pause as exceptions. The documented options also include stick swapping, independent inversion of camera axes, separate deadzone adjustments for each stick, and camera and aiming sensitivity controls.

Aim snap and adjustable lock-on assistance can help with aiming. Gadget aiming can be set to require a hold or to toggle. The feature list describes the default stick roles as left stick for movement and right stick for camera, but the reviewed official sources do not provide a Switch 2 button-by-button diagram or confirm that every feature is implemented identically on that platform. Check the control and accessibility menus on your own Switch 2 rather than relying on an inferred button layout.
Can I simplify button presses?
Yes. One Touch Interactions can turn most holds and repeated taps into a single tap. The game also lets you change how repeated or held button inputs work. If a particular action is uncomfortable, check its input options before changing the whole control scheme.

Can I make the game slower or simplify QTEs?
Gameplay speed has a 100% default and can be set to 90%, 75%, or 50%. Quick-time events (QTEs) can be automatically completed or simplified so any button can be pressed or held. WB Games says QTEs cannot be failed regardless of the setting.

Does screen reader support work on Switch 2?
It is not confirmed as currently available. The WB Games accessibility page says, “We plan to introduce Screen Reader support in a future patch. Please stay tuned for future updates.” That is a stated plan, not confirmation that the feature is present now.
Does the Switch 2 version support co-op?
Nintendo lists TV, tabletop, and handheld modes and a single-system player count of one to two. WB Games says local two-player co-op is supported, but online co-op is not. Automatic saving and multiple restore points in story missions are listed by WB Games. Tutorials and tips can be reviewed from the pause menu, which can be useful when you and a local co-op partner want to revisit an explanation.
