What happened in the October 2 episode?
Sports Chosun reported on October 3, 2026, that Lee appeared with Jeon Hyun-moo, Sunye and Son Jun-ho on episode 14 of MBN and Channel S’s Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 4. The episode was a Gyeongsangnam-do soup-trip segment. Sports Chosun’s report described an exchange about a joking form of “health-insurance-premium flirting.”

Lee explained the phrase as someone trying to impress a woman by saying, in effect, that 2 million won had gone out for health-insurance premiums. That 2 million won was part of the joke he described; the report did not say it was Lee’s own payment. Jeon then teased him: “내년에 300만원 내냐?” (“Will you pay 3 million won next year?”). Lee reportedly answered: “100만원도 안 낸다. 그것도 최근까지는 부담스러웠다” (“I pay less than 1 million won. Even that was burdensome until recently”).

No such payment is established by the report. The 3 million won amount came from Jeon’s question about the following year. Lee’s reported answer was that he paid less than 1 million won, and he added that even that amount had felt burdensome until recently. What did Lee mean by earning the price of an SUV each month?
Sports Chosun also recalled an earlier broadcast in which Lee said his earnings had grown about tenfold and compared what he earned each month to the value of a used car he drove. He described it as a used SUV with 150,000 km on it. The report gives no SUV make, model, exact value or precise monthly income, and it does not identify the earlier program or its date.
The comparison is therefore a colorful analogy, not a salary figure that can be calculated from the story. The report establishes what Lee was quoted as saying, but not the vehicle’s market value or his earnings.
