What camera upgrades are rumored for the Galaxy S27 Ultra?
Recent leak coverage describes a possible 200 MP ISOCELL HP6 main camera and changes to camera processing. Android Authority characterizes the HP6 as a Galaxy-specific form of Samsung’s HPC sensor, while Android Central reports that a tipster described three noticeable processing changes, particularly for retaining detail and color in difficult, high-contrast scenes. A 200 MP figure alone does not establish how photos will look. The S27 Ultra has not been tested as a retail product, so there is no verified basis yet for judging its image quality or saying that the rumored processing changes will improve results.

Tom’s Guide and 9to5Google have reported that Samsung may drop the S26 Ultra’s dedicated 10 MP 3x telephoto camera from the S27 Ultra. If that report is accurate and no replacement is added, the camera system could have a larger step between the main camera and a 5x telephoto camera. The report does not establish the final lens arrangement or how Samsung would handle that range: Tom’s Guide and 9to5Google.

That would be a potential focal-length trade-off, not a demonstrated defect. Until Samsung confirms the hardware and reviewers test it, it is not possible to say whether a different camera configuration would compensate for the missing dedicated 3x lens.
Will the Galaxy S27 Ultra get Samsung’s Privacy Display?
A Privacy Display is confirmed on the preceding generation: Samsung announced the built-in feature for the Galaxy S26 Ultra in February 2026, and its S26 Ultra product information describes a 6.9-inch display with Privacy Display. For the S27 generation, reporting is inconsistent. Tech Advisor, citing ETNews, reported that Privacy Display could be limited to the S27 Ultra and Pro, while Android Central earlier reported it might reach every S27 model. Neither account is Samsung confirmation, so availability across the lineup—including on the Ultra—remains unverified: Tech Advisor and Android Central.

The key checks will be whether a dedicated 3x camera remains, what camera hardware and processing are actually included, how real-world images perform, and which models—if any—receive a Privacy Display.
