1. Sort heroes by function shown in their skills
Read the effect text instead of relying on artwork or rarity. Make a simple note for each hero:
- Damage: direct damage, damage over time, area attacks, or single-target attacks.
- Survival: shields, healing, damage reduction, self-revival, or control resistance.
- Control: stun, silence, slow, displacement, or another effect that limits an enemy.
- Support: buffs, debuffs, energy or cooldown effects, cleansing, or targeting changes.
These labels are a planning framework, not a claim that every listed function exists in the current build. If the game does not expose a role, use the exact skill wording and battle results instead.
2. Cover the failure you are actually seeing
Run the same stage twice and identify the first failure:

- If enemies survive while your team remains healthy, test a damage dealer or a buff that directly improves damage.
- If one enemy defeats the team with a special attack, look for a skill that counters that effect rather than replacing every hero.
- If the timer expires, compare attack speed, damage frequency, and target selection before changing the entire lineup.
Change one hero or one position at a time. That makes the result interpretable and prevents you from spending materials on several experiments whose effects cannot be separated.

3. Treat faction or elemental icons as unconfirmed until explained
The community description mentions elemental factions, but it does not establish the bonus, penalty, team-size requirement, or whether the system is active in every mode. Tap the faction icon and read its in-game explanation. If no rule is displayed, do not sacrifice a clearly useful skill merely to match icons.
4. Keep a flexible bench
Save at least one alternative for each function that your roster visibly contains. A hero who is weaker in the current campaign stage may become useful against a boss, control-heavy enemy, or mode with different restrictions. Stage 2: invest in the lineup you can test repeatedly
