Which capsules it uses
The machine takes Lavazza Espresso Point capsules, not Nespresso capsules. Nespresso capsules are not a substitute, even though both are single-serve systems and both are sold in similar-looking packs.

Lavazza Espresso Point, not a general pod standard
A specialist Lavazza Espresso Point supplier at lavazza-point.de states that its EP 951 works only with Lavazza Espresso Point capsules, and that new machines of that model are no longer available. Tecnocaffè describes its EP 2500 Plus in similar terms, saying it works exclusively with Lavazza Espresso Point single-dose capsules and listing Aroma Club among the espresso options. These are other machines in the same system, so they support the capsule rule for the Espresso Point range. They are not a compatibility test of the Laspressa unit itself.

Aroma Club is the recorded capsule type
CHOICE records Lavazza Aroma Club as the capsule type for this model. When you shop, search for “Lavazza Espresso Point” together with “Aroma Club” so you do not pick up a capsule for a different Lavazza system.
The refillable-capsule suggestion is unverified
A ProductReview.com.au question-and-answer thread contains a suggestion to use a Lavazza Espresso Point refillable capsule. This is advice from a user, not a compatibility confirmation from the manufacturer, Lavazza, or CHOICE. Treat it as untested unless you confirm the capsule’s fit and brand in writing with the seller or Lavazza.

Can you still buy coffee pods for it?
The machine is discontinued, so availability is a separate question from compatibility. The evidence establishes the capsule system, but it does not establish current capsule stock in any country or shop. A capsule range that existed when a machine was sold may no longer be stocked.
- Confirm the capsule name on the packet reads “Espresso Point” and that the product is Lavazza, not Nespresso.
- Search for Aroma Club under the Espresso Point range in your country, and check the retailer’s stock and shipping region before ordering.
- If you are buying a used machine, ask the seller which capsules they use and whether any are included.
- If local stock is thin, compare the cost of a discontinued machine plus capsules with the cost of a current capsule machine that you can still feed.
Is the frother included?
The title says “+ Frother,” but CHOICE’s package-contents entry for this model says “Espresso machine and literature. Milk frother sold separately.” That line is the only basis for the separate-purchase point, and it may not apply to every listing or seller. Do not assume a frother comes with the machine just because the title says so.

- Ask the seller to list the box contents in writing, including the frother model if one is included.
- Ask for a photo of the frother and its box or packaging, not just a photo of the machine.
- If the frother is not included, budget for a separate milk frother, and check that it suits your milk and cup routine before buying.
- If the seller says the frother is included but cannot identify it, treat the frother as missing for pricing purposes.

Owner comments on ProductReview.com.au are mixed. Some owners praise ease of use, coffee quality, compact size and the adjustable cup tray. Others complain about cup clearance, plastic construction and coffee quality. These are individual, older posts.
