Larix Broadcaster is free to download, but its free streaming tier is limited: Google Play says streams are limited to 30 minutes and carry a watermark. Premium removes those limits and adds production features such as multiple outputs, HEVC encoding and adaptive bitrate streaming. Prices and available purchases depend on the app store and country.
Is Larix Broadcaster free?
Yes. Larix Broadcaster is free to download, and its listings describe a live-encoder app supporting protocols including SRT, RTMP/RTMPS, WebRTC WHIP, NDI HX2, RTSP, RIST and Zixi. The Google Play listing says the free tier has a 30-minute streaming limit and a watermark. Google Play listing.
That limit is not the same as saying every stream can run for an hour free. Softvelum’s 2023 announcement described 30 minutes without Premium plus another 30 minutes with a mandatory overlay, but the current Google Play description is the more current basis for the stated free-tier limit and watermark. Check the live listing before planning a stream.
What does Larix Premium include?
Premium removes the watermark and time limit, according to Google Play, and unlocks additional capabilities. The exact feature emphasis differs between the Android and Apple listings, so check the listing for the device you intend to use.

Apple’s listing currently specifies iOS 18/iPadOS 18 in its general system requirements, while its camera description mentions iPadOS 17 and later. Because those details do not align neatly, confirm the current requirements for your device before purchasing or planning a USB-camera workflow. Apple App Store listing.
How much does Larix Premium cost?
These are US storefront examples, not guaranteed prices for every country or platform. Google Play advertises Premium at $9.99 per month. The US Apple App Store listing displays Larix Premium at $9.99 and a one-year option at $119.00. The Apple listing separately displays an NDI Streaming in-app purchase at $19.99; that is a distinct purchase, not another name for Premium.

Softvelum’s 2023 announcement says its quoted prices are for the United States and that the final price may vary by country and local taxes. Should you stay on free or pay for Premium?
The free tier may be enough if
- Your stream fits within the 30-minute limit stated on Google Play.
- You can accept a watermark on the output.
- You do not need a Premium-only capability such as multiple outputs, Talkback, HEVC, ABR or advanced overlays.
Premium is worth comparing if
- You need sessions longer than the free limit or want to remove the watermark.
- Your workflow depends on multiple simultaneous outputs, Talkback, HEVC, ABR, advanced overlays or Android auto-start.
- You need UVC camera support and have confirmed that your device, operating system and app listing support your setup.

Does Larix Premium work through Larix Tuner?
Softvelum describes Larix Tuner as another way to enable Premium features. The precise current price and entitlement by platform are not established here, so check Softvelum’s current product information before treating it as equivalent to an in-app purchase.
