Kyocera aims it at small and medium workgroups. The most important buying check is the model suffix: the wireless version in the same family is the PA2600cwx, so confirm the exact SKU in your market before you assume Wi-Fi.
This is a specification-based buyer’s guide, not a hands-on review. Every figure below comes from Kyocera’s regional product and specification pages or from an ENERGY STAR certification record. The printer has not been tested for print quality, noise, reliability or running cost, and no independent test of those points was found for this model.

What the PA2600cx is
Kyocera’s Australian product page classes the PA2600cx as a color printer. The specification sheets do not list scanning or copying for this model, so it should not be bought as an all-in-one. Its 2.7-inch touchscreen handles device settings and status at the machine.

- Rated speed: up to 26 A4 pages per minute in monochrome and in color, per Kyocera Document Solutions Asia’s specification for the PA2600cwx/PA2600cx family (publication date not shown).
- A different figure: a separate official Kyocera listing gives 27 ppm. The sources do not state the test conditions behind either number, so treat both as manufacturer ratings rather than directly comparable measured throughput.
- First page out: 8 seconds in monochrome and 10 seconds in color, from the same Asian family specification.
- Resolution: up to 1,200 × 1,200 dpi in that specification.

Connectivity and the cx versus cwx question
Model naming is the most common source of confusion. Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct belong to the wireless model in Kyocera’s family table, not to the PA2600cx itself.

If you need printing without a cable, buy the wireless SKU and confirm it on the label or the local product listing. Do not rely on the model name alone.
Toner and page yields
Kyocera publishes standardized yields for the black and color cartridges. The codes differ by market, so match the cartridge to the code on your own printer’s label.

The South Africa datasheet ties these yields to the ISO/IEC 19798 test standard; the Australian page gives the same page counts without naming the standard. These are standardized manufacturer figures, not guaranteed results. Actual page counts depend on coverage, and a page with large color areas uses more toner than a text page.

- 900 images per month is the recommended average, from the South Africa datasheet.
- 65,000 pages per month is the maximum print volume in the same datasheet. Kyocera states the device is not designed to run at that maximum continuously.
- 100,000 pages or five years is the stated maximum life in that datasheet.
If your average is close to the recommended figure with occasional peaks, the printer works within its design envelope. If you regularly approach the monthly maximum, look at a model built for heavier duty cycles.

Size, weight and energy use
- Footprint: 410 × 410 × 329 mm (Asian specification).
- Weight: about 21 kg as a bare main unit (Asian specification), and about 22 kg including toner (Australian page).
- ENERGY STAR: the U.S. ENERGY STAR record marks the PA2600cx as certified, with typical electricity consumption of 0.26 kWh per week. The record was captured on 2026-02-02 and lists the United States, Switzerland, Taiwan, Japan and Canada as covered markets.
The 0.26 kWh figure is a standardized test value. It is not an estimate of an individual office’s electricity bill. Sleep-mode values also differ between regional sources, so check the local specification if power-saving targets matter to you.
Warranty, support and security updates
- Australia: a two-year return-to-base warranty.
- South Africa: one year standard, depending on country.
- United Kingdom: the regional page describes a conditional guarantee for the drum and developer.
- Security support: the Australian page lists security support through February 2028. That is a dated regional statement, so confirm the current period with Kyocera in your market.
Who the PA2600cx suits
Kyocera’s own positioning is small and medium workgroups. Its Australian FAQ says: “The ECOSYS PA2600cx is engineered to deliver high-quality, professional colour output suitable for demanding business documents and presentations.” That is Kyocera’s claim, not an independent test result.

Use this as a quick decision framework:
- The PA2600cx fits a shared office that needs wired network or USB printing, color output and duplex, with volumes near the recommended average.
- The PA2600cwx fits the same office if staff need Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct printing without a cable.
- Look elsewhere if you need scanning or copying, or if you expect to print near the 65,000-page monthly maximum.
- Weigh color toner carefully if most of your output is monochrome. The sources give yields but not local prices, so the cost per page is not established here.
Not established by the available sources: print quality, noise levels, long-term reliability, current street prices, local toner and paper costs, and any direct comparison with competing printers.

Before you buy
- Confirm the exact SKU (PA2600cx or PA2600cwx) on the label or the local listing.
- Match the toner code to your region’s printer documentation.
- Check the local warranty and service route, not the figures from another country.
- Confirm that your paper stock falls within the duplex range in your local specification.
- Get current toner and printer prices from local suppliers before you calculate running cost.
