Start with the controls and Story Mode, then build a small lineup around complementary roles and invest your early training materials in the characters you actually use. What to focus on first
- Learn the current controls. Use the tutorial or on-screen prompts to practice moving, passing, driving, and shooting before taking on competitive matches.
- Progress through Story Mode. It offers a structured way to learn the game and, according to a BlueStacks beginner guide, contributes to account progression and access to other modes. Mode unlock requirements can change, so check the mode menu rather than relying on a fixed level threshold.
- Choose a few characters for a workable lineup. Cover ball handling or passing, scoring, and defense or rebounding. Match formats differ, so you do not need a complete five-position roster for every mode.

How to handle your first matches
Learn movement and action controls in a low-pressure mode
A BlueStacks beginner guide describes a virtual joystick and context-sensitive action controls. On offense, the guide lists passing, driving, stopping or taking a fadeaway, and shooting; it also describes character signature abilities linked to designated buttons and a charge meter. These are secondary-source descriptions, not an official control manual. Follow the current tutorial and control display in your client, since button names and available actions may differ.

Advance across the court before attacking
If you cannot shoot or drive immediately after a tip-off or turnover, move the ball into the offensive zone first. The BlueStacks guide says players must cross the three-point line after gaining possession before starting an attack. Confirm the exact transition rule and on-screen prompts in your current build.
Use Story Mode to learn the match flow
The guide describes Story Mode as following the anime’s plot and as an early progression route. It also reports stage objectives that can award up to three stars, with conditions such as scoring, assists, or steals. If a stage’s objectives are incomplete, you can try it again after improving the characters you use. Specific mode unlock levels reported by third-party guides may not match every current server or release.

Build a roster by role, not by an assumed tier list
Traditional basketball positions are a useful way to think about what a lineup needs. The BlueStacks guide groups roles as follows; check the live character screen for current availability and listed positions.

Rather than treating any listed character as a guaranteed starter or a universal “best,” choose players whose jobs complement the selected mode and whose controls you can use reliably. How training and account growth work
The detailed system descriptions below come from the BlueStacks guide and should be checked against the current character and upgrade screens. The guide does not fully document every cost, sub-system, or optimal allocation.
- Leveling: The guide identifies Honey Lemon as a character-upgrade material and says the upgrade preview shows affected attributes. Review that preview before spending items.
- Ascension: The guide says Promotion Cards raise a character’s level cap and increase base stats. Check the current requirement and resulting cap in the client; guide-reported rank and level examples are not guaranteed to remain current.
- Training and talents: These are presented as separate growth paths on player details. Inspect their descriptions and costs before committing resources.
- Tasks and events: The guide describes Daily, Growth, and Become Stronger tasks, check-in rewards, and a limited-time Event Hall. Available tasks, event duration, and reward contents are temporary.
Collect routine rewards that are available to you, then spend limited materials on characters in your active lineups. Revisit other growth systems as you unlock modes or change your regular team.

How to obtain new players—and when to spend
Character acquisition is part of the game, but exact banner mechanics are not established by the official store listings. A BlueStacks guide describes a Rookie Gacha that uses training tickets and limited-time banners with guarantee mechanics; its specific draw counts are secondary-source claims and may depend on the banner, server, event, or version.
Before using tickets or paid currency, open the banner’s details and check the featured character, probability information, and any stated pity, guarantee, or exchange rules. The BlueStacks guide describes check-in rewards, tasks, and event rewards, but it does not establish a guaranteed quantity of free currency, characters, or draws for every new account. Open the current task, login, and event screens to see what is available on your server. Avoid planning around a particular reward or event duration unless it is stated in your client.

The BlueStacks guide reports a transition rule: after a tip-off or turnover, advance across the three-point line before initiating an attack. How to judge character advice and updates
There is no evidence here for a permanent best character or current competitive tier list. Characters, events, and balance can change; Apple’s US listing includes version-history notes about updates, characters, and events, but those notes do not establish that the same release details apply to every region or server. Check the listing for that storefront’s version history, and use your in-game roster, mode rules, and banner details for current decisions.
