Dizajn i veličina šake mogu uticati na zamor
Studija iz 2007. uporedila je simuliranu upotrebu malog telefona na preklop i tradicionalnog kancelarijskog telefona kod deset odraslih. Autori su prijavili razlike u nelagodnosti i zamoru mišića, kao i uticaj telesnih mera učesnika na jačinu tih ishoda. Njihov zaključak glasi: “Phone design and anthropometry influenced the development of discomfort and fatigue during phone use.” Studija se odnosila na mali uzorak i starije tipove telefona, ne na izolovanu razliku od 50 grama između današnjih pametnih telefona. Širina merena je kao važan faktor hvata
U studiji iz 2018. godine učestvovalo je 72 mladih osoba. Istraživači su ispitivali dimenzije, masu, udobnost hvata i privlačnost dizajna. Autori su naveli: “Phone width was found to significantly influence grip comfort and design attractiveness.” Jedan od ispitivanih oblika imao je dimenzije 140 × 65 (ili 70) × 8 × 2,5 mm i masu 122 g; u okviru tog eksperimenta upoređivane su mase od 106 do 137 g. To su rezultati za određene oblike, ispitanike i uslove testa, a ne preporučena masa za današnje telefone ili sve korisnike. Studija u PubMed-u.
Širina i dužina šake menjaju iskustvo interakcije
U eksperimentu iz 2016. ispitivani su telefoni širine 60 i 90 mm tokom interakcije sa zadnjom površinom. Autori su prijavili 12,3% veću nelagodnost pri korišćenju uređaja širine 90 mm u odnosu na uređaj širine 60 mm u tom zadatku; učesnici sa manjim šakama prijavljivali su veću nelagodnost. Taj procenat ne predviđa kako će svaka osoba doživeti telefon u svakodnevnoj upotrebi: odnosi se na konkretan zadatak i uslove eksperimenta. Studija u PubMed-u.

Položaj upotrebe povezan je sa izmerenim ishodima, ali to ne dokazuje uzrok
Studija iz 2024. godine obuhvatila je 120 učesnika i ispitivala položaj korišćenja telefona, bol, trajanje upotrebe i funkciju šake. Prijavljene su povezanosti između položaja ručnog zgloba i lakta i merenih ishoda. Pošto je reč o opservacionoj studiji, ona ne dokazuje da je masa telefona izazvala bol. Studija u PubMed Central-u.
Zašto isti telefon nekome odgovara, a nekome ne?
Telefon nije samo masa koju šaka nosi. Njegova širina i debljina utiču na obuhvat, položaj prstiju i koliko daleko palac mora da seže. Dužina šake i uobičajeni hvat menjaju te odnose, pa uređaj koji deluje uravnoteženo jednoj osobi može zahtevati napetiji hvat od druge. To je posebno važno pri jednoručnom korišćenju: kratko držanje sa obe ruke nije isto opterećenje kao duga sesija tokom koje jednom rukom držite telefon i drugom rukujete njime.

Ravnoteža uređaja i osećaj rasporeda mase korisni su za praktičnu procenu, ali dostupni nalazi ne nude univerzalno pravilo za idealan balans modernog telefona. Najpouzdaniji zaključak je uži: masa može doprineti osećaju pri držanju, dok širina, prilagođenost šaci i način upotrebe takođe imaju značaja.
Kako praktično uporediti telefone po težini i dimenzijama
- Proverite masu stvarnog kompleta. Uporedite navedene težine uređaja, a zatim uračunajte futrolu ili dodatke koje biste svakodnevno koristili.
- Pogledajte širinu i debljinu, ne samo dijagonalu ekrana. Širina utiče na obuhvat i dohvat palca; nominalna veličina ekrana sama ne govori kako će telefon ležati u šaci.
- Držite ga kao što ga inače koristite. Ako često koristite telefon jednom rukom, isprobajte upravo taj hvat i proverite koliko vam je prirodno da dosegnete uobičajene delove ekrana.
- Obratite pažnju na duže držanje. Ako je moguće, zadržite telefon u ruci nekoliko minuta, umesto da procenjujete samo кратkim podizanjem у продавници.
- Упоредите га са тренутним телефоном. Разлика у ширини, дебљини, маси и осећају равнотеже може бити кориснија од изоловане бројке на листи спецификација.
Не постоји једна идеална тежина која одговара свима. Ако телефон обично користите кратко и са обе руке, други фактори могу вам бити важнији него ако га дуго држите једном руком. Избор лакшег телефона сам по себи није доказана мера за спречавање или лечење бола.
