What does the SL157C include?
Kmart Australia’s SL157C Rev 4 manual describes a canister vacuum supplied with a hose, telescopic tube, standard floorhead, crevice tool with swivel brush, and upholstery tool. The floorhead has two settings: brush extended for hard floors and retracted for carpets and rugs. The hose handle has a suction-relief slide, while the vacuum body has a cord rewind and a parking position for the floorhead. The manual does not provide suction measurements or establish how the floorhead performs on delicate timber; check the head’s condition and use care on easily marked surfaces.

How do I clean the Anko SL157C filter?
The manual emphasizes regular filter cleaning and warns against running the vacuum with wet or damp filters, or with any filter missing. Let washed filters dry completely before reinstalling them. Replace filters that are worn or broken, and make sure every filter is correctly fitted before switching the vacuum on. The SL157C Rev 4 manual says, “Filters can be purchased from our Customer Service.” That confirms the manual’s replacement-filter route, but not current stock or compatibility of third-party listings.

What to do if the SL157C shuts off
The manual describes an overheat protection device that may cut power if the nozzle is blocked, the dust canister is full, or filters are dirty or blocked. If that happens, unplug the vacuum, clear the cause and allow it to cool for at least 60 minutes before trying again.
- Unplug the vacuum before inspecting it.
- Check whether the dust canister is full and empty it if needed.
- Look for a blockage in the nozzle, hose or other airflow path and clear it.
- Clean dirty or blocked filters. Do not reinstall washed filters until they are completely dry.
- Leave the unplugged vacuum to rest for at least 60 minutes, then test it again.
If the hose, floorhead or an accessory is broken or fails, the manual directs owners to customer service rather than establishing a repair procedure for those parts.

Should you buy or keep one?
For an existing owner, the manual provides a clear maintenance routine and confirms that replacement filters can be sought through customer service. For a second-hand buyer, judge the actual unit rather than relying on the review average: verify SL157C on the model plate, inspect the filters and floorhead, check that the tools and hose are present, and confirm that replacement filters are obtainable before paying.
