The Australian KitchenAid 5KFP0919ACU is a 9-cup food processor with a 250 W motor and a set of blades and discs for chopping, slicing, shredding, puréeing and kneading. Its specifications and included accessories are documented, but the publicly accessible CHOICE page does not show its test scores. That means the available evidence can explain what the appliance is designed to do, but cannot support a performance-based verdict that it outperforms other processors.
What is the KitchenAid 5KFP0919ACU?
It is the Australian Contour Silver version of KitchenAid’s 9-cup food processor, identified by model code 5KFP0919ACU. The Australian listing and KitchenAid’s October 2018 specification sheet give its power as 250 W and its dimensions as 42.5 cm high × 24.5 cm wide × 20 cm deep. Appliances Online lists a net weight of 2.9 kg; CHOICE reports 3.1 kg. The available sources do not explain the difference, so treat weight as source-specific rather than assuming one figure is definitive.

The 9-cup capacity is the product’s stated capacity. A KitchenAid Middle East/Africa page for a regional 5KFP0919 variant describes a 2.1 L processor, while CHOICE lists 2,000 mL for the Australian model. These figures are presented differently by the sources; they should not be treated as proof that every regional version or capacity label is identical.

What comes in the box, and what can it do?
The Australian retailer’s listing identifies the following processing accessories for the 5KFP0919ACU:
- A multipurpose blade for chopping and puréeing.
- A dough blade for kneading.
- A reversible disc for thin slicing and medium shredding.
- A reversible disc for medium slicing and coarse shredding.
- A thick slicing disc.
KitchenAid’s US KFP0919CU product page describes the same general accessory set and lists chopping, shredding, slicing, puréeing and kneading among the processor’s functions. It says of the dough blade: “Knead pizza and bread dough with the dough blade.” That is the manufacturer’s description of an intended function, not an independent test result for the Australian model.

KitchenAid’s US KFP0919CU page describes High, Low and Pulse settings, a twist-free bowl assembly, a latched lid and in-bowl accessory storage. Those US-page details should not automatically be assumed to describe every Australian unit unless confirmed in its manual or listing.

Does independent testing show how well it performs?
CHOICE has an exact-model page for the 5KFP0919ACU, but the accessible page restricts its Expert Rating and performance, ease-of-use, slicing, crumbing, shredding, pastry, emulsifying and noise results to members. The presence of those score categories does not reveal whether the processor performed well or poorly. No public score or comparative ranking is established by the available information.
For a purchase decision, the documented accessory set suggests the kinds of jobs the machine is intended to handle; it does not establish how evenly it slices, how reliably it kneads, how noisy it is, or how it compares with a competitor under controlled testing. CHOICE’s page is the relevant independent source if you have access to its full results: CHOICE KitchenAid 9 Cup food processor review.

Is the 5KFP0919ACU discontinued, and what does it cost?
CHOICE marks the Australian model as discontinued and displays a price of A$299. The accessible page does not state the year for that displayed price, so it is not a reliable current-price quote. A discontinued label also does not prove that every Australian retailer has run out of stock; check the exact model code and the seller’s current availability before buying.

How do the regional model codes differ?
The Australian review subject is 5KFP0919ACU. KitchenAid’s US page is for KFP0919CU, and KitchenAid’s Middle East/Africa page lists a 5KFP0919 regional variant. The shared 0919 family name indicates related products, not guaranteed identical electrical specifications, included parts or accessory fit. For a replacement blade, disc, bowl or other part, verify compatibility against the exact Australian code before ordering.
KitchenAid’s 9 Cup support hub covers assembly, blade and disc installation or removal, cleaning, disc selection, operation and troubleshooting. Use it alongside the product guide, and confirm that any guidance or part applies to the 5KFP0919ACU: KitchenAid 9 Cup Product Help and KitchenAid 9 Cup product guide W11668772A.
What should you check before buying?
- Capacity and batch size: Decide whether a 9-cup processor suits the quantities you usually prepare.
- Accessories: Check that the specific unit includes the blades and discs you need, especially if buying used or from an older listing.
- Counter and storage space: Allow for the listed 42.5 × 24.5 × 20 cm dimensions, plus room to use and store its accessories.
- Performance evidence: Look for accessible independent results on your priority tasks and noise; the public CHOICE listing does not show its scores.
- Regional compatibility: Confirm Australian electrical compatibility and exact-model replacement-part fit.
- Price, stock and warranty: Check the seller’s current terms rather than treating CHOICE’s displayed A$299 or discontinued label as a live market quote.
Appliances Online and CHOICE each list a two-year warranty. The 2018 KitchenAid specification sheet describes a “2 YEAR REPLACEMENT LIMITED WARRANTY.” Because coverage can depend on the applicable Australian terms and purchase conditions, confirm the warranty offered with the specific unit before buying. The retailer also says the processor is not intended or designed for commercial use.
