Kioxia specifies 3 DWPD for CD9P-V, whose E3.S capacities in its product brief are 1,600 GB, 3,200 GB, 6,400 GB, and 12,800 GB. CD9P-R is rated at 1 DWPD. Kioxia rates CD9P-R at 1 DWPD. DWPD means drive writes per day over the stated warranty period; for a 7,680 GB drive, one full drive write corresponds nominally to 7,680 GB written in a day. This is an endurance rating, not a promise that every workload will perform the same or that writes beyond the rating fail immediately. Compare expected write volume with the rated endurance and obtain the warranty terms for your market and exact model.

Kioxia lists typical active power of 23 W and typical ready power of 5 W, with an operating temperature range of 0–75 °C. These are published product specifications; they are not measurements of power draw or temperature in a particular server. Cooling design and platform airflow still need to be validated in the intended system.

Kioxia’s current product page lists MTTF of 2,500,000 hours at 0–50 °C and 2,000,000 hours at 0–55 °C. MTTF is a statistical reliability figure, not a prediction that an individual drive will operate for that many hours. Kioxia’s product brief also lists power-loss protection and end-to-end data protection. Security options are identified as SIE and SED; confirm the required implementation against the exact model code.

The “streaming” use case refers to data-center storage infrastructure supporting media delivery, not a consumer streaming service. The drive makes most sense where the platform supports E3.S and the workload profile, endurance rating, security configuration, and cooling requirements align.
