Kingston was the world’s top DRAM module supplier by revenue in 2025, with a reported 62% share, according to TrendForce’s ranking published September 22, 2026. The ranking covers the global DRAM module market by revenue—not the broader market for DRAM semiconductor chips—and does not rank suppliers by unit shipments.
What the 2025 ranking says
TrendForce estimates that global DRAM module revenue reached $21.2 billion in 2025, up 59% year over year. Kingston’s DRAM module revenue increased 48%, and the company held a reported 62% share of that market’s revenue. These figures describe 2025 results, not Kingston’s current share in 2026. TrendForce’s September 2026 report provides the market comparison.

The top five makers together accounted for 77% of market revenue. TrendForce placed ADATA second and Ramaxel third. Their DRAM revenue grew 82% and 153%, respectively, in 2025; Ramaxel recorded the highest growth rate among companies in the ranking. Those growth rates do not establish unit growth or profitability.

Why the market grew so sharply
TrendForce says market revenue growth accelerated from 7% in 2024 to 59% in 2025, reflecting both higher DRAM prices and stronger shipments in the second half of the year.

DDR4 inventory early in the year
Some module makers increased DDR4 inventories in the second quarter as they responded to tariff concerns and DRAM suppliers’ end-of-life plans for DDR4, TrendForce reports.
Server demand tightened supply
In the latter half of 2025, North American and Chinese cloud service providers increased server DRAM orders to support agentic AI computing. TrendForce says that surge constrained allocations for PC and consumer applications and contributed to higher overall DRAM prices. Module makers also focused more on industrial and enterprise-server lines, while making DDR5 their primary product line in the second half.

How Kingston maintained its lead
TrendForce attributes Kingston’s position in part to its procurement scale: the company was able to build ample inventory during 2024 and 2025 and supply the channel as prices strengthened in the second half of 2025. The analyst connects that position with Kingston’s 48% revenue growth. This is TrendForce’s explanation of the ranking, not an independent test of Kingston’s operations.

The release quoted Kristy Ernt, Kingston’s DRAM business manager, saying: “Maintaining our leadership position in a dynamic and rapidly evolving memory market reflects Kingston’s long-term strategy, strong supplier relationships, and commitment to serving customers worldwide,” the announcement states. That is the company’s characterization of its performance.

What “No. 1” does—and does not—mean
In this context, “No. 1” means first among makers in TrendForce’s latest published global DRAM module ranking by revenue. It does not mean Kingston led the market for DRAM chips themselves, shipped the most modules, or necessarily earned the most profit. The 62% figure is a reported 2025 revenue share, not a live market-share figure for 2026.
For historical context, Kingston reproduces a TrendForce ranking that gave the company 78.12% of global memory-module supplier revenue in 2022. That is a separate year and report; the available sources do not establish that the scope or methodology is perfectly comparable with the 2025 ranking. Kingston’s archive entry records the older figure.

Choosing a Kingston memory module is a separate question
A market ranking does not establish that a particular module is right for a computer. Kingston lists DDR5 and DDR4 options, including desktop DIMMs, laptop SODIMMs, and server-focused lines such as ValueRAM and Server Premier, as well as Kingston FURY. Form factor, generation, and supported specifications depend on the target system.
