Verdict: KingHost is a legitimate Brazilian hosting company and a sensible option for Brazil-focused websites that value Portuguese support, local data centers, billing in reais and managed assistance. It is not an automatic best choice: promotional prices can hide higher renewals, the public uptime figures are provider-reported, and advanced developers may need more control than shared or managed plans provide.
Choose it when local support and convenience matter more than the lowest introductory price. Compare the full renewal cost, resource limits, backup terms and cancellation process before paying.

What is KingHost?
KingHost sells shared website hosting, WordPress-oriented tools, professional email, domains, VPS, cloud hosting, website-builder products and dedicated-server-related services. Its positioning is distinctly Brazilian: the company advertises servers in Brazil, Portuguese-language support and payment in Brazilian reais. Its official pages and public status site provide verifiable signs of an operating commercial provider rather than a temporary landing-page offer.
Recommended Free Tools
The company advertises 24/7 support, free migration, SSL, backups and a 30-day refund-request window on relevant hosting pages. These are provider promises; check the contract and the exact plan before purchase because inclusions vary.

Pros and cautions
| Potential advantages | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Brazilian infrastructure, reais billing and Portuguese support | Local hosting helps Brazil-centered visitors, but does not guarantee fast pages or global performance |
| Broad upgrade path from shared hosting to cloud, VPS and dedicated services | Management level, root access and automation differ by product |
| Free migration and bundled SSL, email and backups advertised on selected plans | Confirm whether email, DNS, databases and custom configurations are included in your migration |
| Public status page and strong formal complaint-resolution figures | Neither provider status data nor complaint resolution proves every account is reliable |
| 30-day refund request advertised | Read eligibility, notice and refund conditions before ordering |
Plans and prices: compare the commitment, not the headline
Prices below were observed around August 16, 2026. Promotions and plan tables can change, so recheck the live page. A monthly equivalent is not necessarily a monthly payment.
| Product or plan | Observed price | Term or qualification | Best interpreted as |
|---|---|---|---|
| Site hosting promotion | From R$9.99/month | Two-year promotional offer; renewal price not stated on the supplied offer | Low first-cycle entry price, not a permanent rate |
| Hospedagem I | R$31.40/month equivalent | Total paid for a quarterly period; page displays approximately 10.15% tax | Traditional hosting tier; confirm recurring price |
| Hospedagem II | R$49.50/month equivalent | Total paid for a quarterly period; page displays approximately 10.15% tax | Higher-capacity traditional hosting |
| Hospedagem III | R$87.20/month equivalent | Total paid for a quarterly period; page displays approximately 10.15% tax | Advertised for larger applications and high traffic |
| Cloud WEB 4/4 | R$98.50/month equivalent (R$1,182/year) | Annual payment for a new contract; regular renewal and annual adjustment may apply | Managed cloud starting point |
| Cloud WEB 8/8 | R$156/month equivalent (R$1,872/year) | Annual payment for a new contract | More capacity; verify live resources |
| Cloud WEB 16/16 | R$196.32/month equivalent (R$2,355.84/year) | Annual payment for a new contract | Higher displayed tier; verify live resources |
| Cloud WEB 24/24 | R$249.12/month equivalent (R$2,989.44/year) | Annual payment for a new contract | Largest displayed tier; verify live resources |
The cloud page’s rendered search information pairs some plan names with inconsistent RAM and CPU rows. Do not rely on those figures without checking the current table or obtaining a dated quotation. It also states that regular renewal pricing follows the initial contract and that annual adjustment may use the IGP-M index. Source: KingHost cloud hosting.
The homepage separately advertises site hosting from R$9.99, professional email from R$3.99, VPS from R$53.90 and cloud servers from R$124.11, while labeling displayed values as first-cycle promotions. Source: KingHost.

Questions to answer before checkout
- What is the total payment today and the exact renewal total?
- Is the quoted amount tax-inclusive, and what annual adjustment applies?
- What do domain renewal, extra mailboxes, dedicated IPs, premium SSL, restores and resource upgrades cost?
- What happens to hosting, email and DNS after cancellation or late payment?
WordPress: suitable, but distinguish tools from management
KingHost promotes WordPress installation, automated plugin installation and AI/site-building features. Those conveniences can shorten setup time, but they do not by themselves make WordPress fully managed. Ask whether your chosen tier includes staging, object caching, a CDN, malware scanning, a web-application firewall, automatic core and plugin updates, and how many backup restore points are retained.
Storage and “unlimited bandwidth” are not the same as unlimited CPU, RAM, database resources, simultaneous processes, inode count or email sending. A small brochure site may fit shared hosting; WooCommerce, membership sites and busy publishing sites should be evaluated against actual PHP workers, database limits and traffic patterns. KingHost advertises daily backups on current site-hosting material, but confirm retention, off-server storage, downloadable copies and restore assistance.
Free migration is useful for a nontechnical owner. Confirm whether it covers files, databases, mailboxes, DNS and SSL, whether the source host is supported, and whether a maintenance window or temporary downtime is expected. Sources: site-hosting features and cloud hosting.
Performance and uptime: what the evidence does—and does not—show
Brazilian latency
Brazilian data centers can reduce network distance for visitors in Brazil. That is a plausible locality advantage, not a universal speed guarantee. Theme code, image sizes, plugins, database queries, caching, CDN configuration and traffic spikes usually have a larger effect on Core Web Vitals than the host’s country alone. International audiences may need a CDN or a geographically distributed origin.
Provider status data
KingHost’s status page reported 100% uptime for the listed monitoring periods in May, June and July 2026. The same page recorded incidents affecting support chat and WhatsApp on July 24 and July 28, and an email-access incident on July 21. This is provider-operated monitoring of selected services, not an independent measurement of every customer website, DNS path, application or mailbox.

Support and customer reputation
KingHost advertises chat, WhatsApp, email or ticket support and telephone contact, with 24/7 Portuguese-language assistance. Reclame Aqui’s company page for January 1–June 30, 2026 showed an average consumer rating of 8.03/10, 80.6% saying they would do business again, 95.1% complaint resolution and an average response time of 10 days and 16 hours. The evaluated-complaints view showed 81.1% return intent and 95.3% resolution because it uses a different filter.
These numbers are encouraging for formal complaint handling, but the response-time figure concerns Reclame Aqui cases, not normal live-chat or technical-ticket response. Resolution percentage also does not establish technical competence, first-response speed or 24/7 availability for every channel. July support-channel incidents show why a second contact method matters.

Email hosting: convenient, but plan for an outage
Professional email can be bundled with hosting, but check mailbox count, storage per account, spam filtering, webmail and client compatibility, sending limits, retention and backup recovery. The July 21, 2026 status incident involved difficulty accessing webmail and email software for some users. That does not prove chronic email failure, yet businesses should avoid making one hosted mailbox their only copy of customer records or operational messages.
Maintain independent contact addresses, export important mail and document how KingHost restores mailboxes after deletion, suspension or an infrastructure incident.
High-traffic sites, SaaS and developers
Choosing the service level
| Workload | Likely fit | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| One local business site or portfolio | Shared/site hosting | Lowest complexity, but shared resource limits |
| Growing WordPress or store | Managed cloud | More capacity without full server administration; higher recurring commitment |
| Custom API or background workers | VPS or cloud after checking access | More control brings responsibility for updates, security, backups and troubleshooting |
| Predictable, resource-intensive workload | Dedicated infrastructure | Higher cost and commitment |
The cloud page displays tiers up to 24 GB RAM and 24 vCPUs, but the rendered resource rows are inconsistent, so verify the live specification before selecting a plan. Managed cloud may be a poor fit for Docker-heavy deployments, custom kernels, sophisticated autoscaling, multi-region failover or infrastructure-as-code workflows.

Billing, cancellation and failure recovery
Customer reports on Reclame Aqui include allegations involving cancellation, billing after cancellation, disputed charges, domain registration, annual adjustment, email, firewall-related unavailability and account issues. These are individual reports, not proof that every customer has the same experience. They do identify policies worth checking.
- Save the order, renewal price, tax treatment and contract term as a PDF or screenshot.
- Record cancellation requests, ticket numbers and automatic-renewal settings.
- Export website files, databases, DNS records and critical mail before closing an account.
- Ask how many restore points exist, where backups are stored, whether downloads are allowed and what a restore costs.
- Verify what happens after an overdue invoice and how reactivation works.
KingHost’s status documentation describes payment reactivation for late-payment suspensions using PIX, boleto or card with a domain or customer code. It is an operational process, not a promise of instant restoration for every account. Source: status and payment guidance.
Who should use KingHost?
| Reader or project | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Brazilian beginner building one site | Consider it if Portuguese support and bundled setup are worth the renewal premium. |
| Small business needing website and email | Potentially good; verify mailbox, sending and backup limits. |
| Moderate-traffic WordPress site | Consider a managed or cloud upgrade after checking resource limits. |
| Developer wanting root access and automation | Compare VPS and cloud alternatives carefully; confirm every required feature first. |
| Global audience | Use a CDN or compare a host with broader geographic distribution. |
| Price-sensitive long-term buyer | Calculate renewal and contract totals rather than comparing introductory monthly figures. |
| Mission-critical business | Require independent monitoring, off-site backups and a tested recovery plan. |
Alternatives worth comparing
| Provider | Observed Brazil offer | When it may fit better | Important caveat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hostinger Brazil | R$5.99/month for an observed 48-month Single promotion; R$23.99/month shown on renewal | Lowest promotional entry price or broader international positioning | Long prepaid term; compare support and renewal expectations |
| Locaweb Cloud/VPS | VPS from R$15.90/month and cloud from R$20/month on observed pages; a 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD Micro VM was shown at R$20/month | Local infrastructure and a more infrastructure-oriented ecosystem | Products have different management models; compare backups, migration and support scope |
| Locaweb Cloud | Advertises a 99.9% availability SLA | Buyers who need a stated service-level commitment | An SLA is not the same as application performance; read exclusions and remedies |

Final verdict
KingHost is a credible local choice, especially for Brazilian small businesses, agencies, WordPress owners and organizations that want Portuguese managed support. Its local infrastructure, migration offer and broad product ladder are meaningful advantages.
Buy only after normalizing the initial commitment, renewal price, taxes, annual adjustment, email and backup limits, resource ceilings and cancellation rules. Treat the 2026 status-page uptime and Reclame Aqui metrics as useful but limited evidence—not as independent proof that every site, mailbox or support interaction will be trouble-free.
