Buy KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] if you are starting the series and want the current PS5 package with Re Mind included. Choose All-In-One only when its PS4 compilation is substantially cheaper, you specifically want that physical edition, and you are comfortable purchasing Re Mind separately.
The short answer
There are two practical ways to assemble the Kingdom Hearts saga for play on a PS5. KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] is listed as PS5 software and combines HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III with the Re Mind DLC. All-In-One Package is the older PS4 bundle containing the same three main package components, but Re Mind is a separate add-on and the software runs on PS5 through backward compatibility.

For a first-time player, the newer collection is the simpler purchase because its listing puts the three packages and Re Mind together under a PS5 product. All-In-One can still be sensible if a sale or physical price makes the total cheaper. Neither official product listing establishes a specific advantage in frame rate, resolution, or loading times, so do not pay a premium based on assumed technical improvements.
What each collection contains
KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III]
Square Enix’s Japanese product page lists three sections:

Those are the entries named by the official listing. A collection page can include cinematic or story-recap material as well as playable software, so the list should not be read as a promise that every named entry is an independently playable full-length game.
All-In-One Package
The PlayStation Store listing identifies All-In-One as a package of HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and the base version of Kingdom Hearts III. Re Mind appears separately as an add-on rather than as part of the bundle. Square Enix Europe described its announced physical compilation as containing 10 different Kingdom Hearts titles; that count is the publisher’s characterization of the compilation and does not mean ten separate full games.

The two digital pages happened to show the same $74.99 list price at that check. That is a dated observation, not a permanent price guarantee. Store discounts, tax, currency, and physical-retailer pricing can change the result.
Which package should different buyers choose?
For a first playthrough
Choose Collection [I–III]. It minimizes the chance of buying the base Kingdom Hearts III package and discovering later that Re Mind is separate. You also receive a product explicitly listed for PS5 rather than relying on PS4 backward compatibility.

For the lowest total cost
Compare the checkout total rather than the advertised bundle name. All-In-One is worth considering when its current price is lower by enough to cover Re Mind separately. At the observed US list price, the two digital bundles were both $74.99, so neither had an automatic price advantage. A sale can reverse that outcome at any time.
For a physical-media collection
The newer collection has a listed standard PS5 physical edition, but Square Enix says that edition needs an internet connection and an additional data download. Treat the disc as a license plus required download, not as proof of a completely offline installation. Confirm the edition, region, stock, and retailer terms before ordering.
All-In-One has an older PS4 physical compilation associated with Square Enix Europe’s June 12, 2025 announcement. Availability can differ by country, and a European disc may not have the same store or downloadable-content terms as an edition sold in another region.

Square Enix’s Japanese page says existing PS4 digital owners can buy the PS5 digital edition at a discount through the relevant storefront. That statement is region- and account-dependent. Check your own PlayStation Store account for the upgrade price; do not assume the offer applies to a physical PS4 disc or to every country.

For a buyer expecting a measurable performance upgrade
The official material establishes the PS5 product listing and PS5 compatibility, but it does not publish a controlled comparison of resolution, frame rate, loading times, or visual settings. If those specifications are your deciding factor, wait for independently verified measurements rather than assuming the newer package is faster.
Release dates, editions, and regional differences
Collection [I–III] dates
The US PlayStation Store lists Collection [I–III] as PS5 software with an October 6, 2026 release date. Square Enix’s North American store lists the physical product with an October 8, 2026 release date, while the official Japanese page also presents an October 8 launch. These are not contradictions: digital and physical products, storefronts, and markets can use different release dates.
All-In-One’s status on PS5
All-In-One is a PS4 product released March 27, 2019. PlayStation identifies it as playable on PS5, says a system-software update may be required, and warns that some PS4 features may be absent. Calling it a native PS5 edition would therefore be inaccurate.

US physical-retailer stock and pricing are not established by the official listings described here. Check the retailer’s shipping region, disc region, return policy, and whether the listing is for the PS5 collection or the older PS4 All-In-One package.

How to buy without ending up with the wrong version
- Set your region first. Open the PlayStation Store or retailer serving the country where your console account is registered. Prices, release dates, upgrade rights, and downloadable-content access can vary.
- Read the platform line. For the newer option, confirm that the page says PS5. For All-In-One, expect a PS4 listing with PS5 playability rather than a native PS5 product.
- Verify Re Mind in the contents list. Collection [I–III] lists it with Kingdom Hearts III. All-In-One lists the base game and treats Re Mind as a separate add-on.
- Record the complete price. Include any separate Re Mind purchase, tax, delivery, and currency conversion. Compare that total with the current Collection [I–III] price, not with an old list price.
- Check physical-download requirements. The PS5 disc edition requires an internet connection and an additional data download. Plan enough console storage and a reliable connection before opening the game.
- Review upgrade eligibility if you own PS4 digital. Sign in to the account that owns the PS4 license and look for the region-specific PS5 offer. Do not infer eligibility from a friend’s account or from a different country’s store.
- Save the product name and platform in your receipt. “Collection [I–III]” and “All-In-One” are easy to confuse in marketplace searches, especially when both packages contain the same three main component names.
What the $74.99 price does—and does not—tell you
On October 13, 2026, the US PlayStation Store displayed $74.99 for each compared digital package. That observation gives a useful baseline but not a recommendation by itself. The listing pages also displayed the newer collection’s component packages separately at $39.99 each. Separate component pricing is not the same as a bundle discount, and prices can change during seasonal sales or publisher promotions.
Because All-In-One excludes Re Mind from its listed contents, a lower sticker price does not necessarily mean a lower cost for the same experience. Conversely, if you do not want Re Mind, paying more for a package that includes it may not match your priorities. Decide whether you want the DLC before comparing totals.
Re Mind: the detail most likely to change your decision
Re Mind is the clearest content difference between the listings. Collection [I–III] presents Kingdom Hearts III with Re Mind in the package. All-In-One presents Kingdom Hearts III without Re Mind and lists the DLC separately. If you want the complete Kingdom Hearts III package in one purchase, select the newer collection or add the DLC deliberately and include it in your budget.

Do not assume that owning a physical copy of one package automatically grants the digital add-on for another edition. Downloadable-content licenses can be tied to the account and store region that sold them.

What is known—and unknown—about PS5 performance
The available product information supports two platform conclusions: Collection [I–III] is sold as PS5 software, and All-In-One is PS4 software that PlayStation says can run on PS5. It does not support a numerical claim about frame rate, resolution, HDR, loading screens, or visual upgrades. Those details require an independent technical test or an explicit specification from the publisher.
That limitation matters when evaluating the price difference. Buy Collection [I–III] for its package structure, PS5 listing, and included Re Mind—not for an unverified promise of faster loading or higher image quality.
Final buying decision
Select KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] when you want the least complicated route through the series, prefer a product listed for PS5, or want Re Mind included. Select All-In-One Package only when its actual price, physical format, or existing ownership makes it the better fit and you have accounted for Re Mind separately. Whichever you choose, verify the storefront region and the exact platform line before paying.
