The PS5 version of KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] reportedly offers three Platinum trophies across its three trophy lists—fewer than the PS4 bundles, which included separate Platinums for more of the games. The change affects trophy hunters looking for a Platinum for each title; it does not mean the games themselves were removed.
Which Kingdom Hearts games have a Platinum on PS5?
Push Square reports that the PS5 collection has three trophy lists, one for each included collection, and Platinum trophies for Kingdom Hearts, Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts III. Push Square credits Exophase for the trophy-list information; this comparison is reported trophy data, not a direct explanation from Sony.

Push Square’s report says the PS4 bundles also offered Platinums for Kingdom Hearts II, Birth by Sleep and Re:Chain of Memories. For completionists, that means fewer separate Platinum opportunities in the PS5 bundle than in the PS4 releases.

What changed—and what did not
The reported difference is in trophy-list grouping and which lists award a Platinum. It is not evidence that those games or their original content have been cut from the collection. The PS5 product packages three collections together: KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind.

Square Enix’s Japanese store page distinguishes some entries as video works rather than playable games, so the collection’s contents should not be read as a promise that every listed entry is playable. The PlayStation Store listing describes the bundled collection and its contents.
Why are trophy hunters disappointed?
A separate Platinum is a distinct completion target for players who like earning one for each game. In the PS4 bundles, the three additional Platinums reported for Kingdom Hearts II, Birth by Sleep and Re:Chain of Memories made that possible. The PS5 collection’s three-list structure does not provide those same additional Platinum awards, according to Push Square.
Push Square attributes the reduced count to changes in the PS5 trophy system, but the report does not establish an official Sony policy explanation. It is safest to treat that as the report’s attribution rather than a general rule about how Sony handles bundled games.

Release date, pricing and physical-edition caveat
Square Enix lists October 8, 2026 as the release date on its official collection page. Push Square’s game profile listed prices of $74.99 in North America and £64.99 in the UK and Europe; those are regional, time-sensitive figures rather than a universal price.
Square Enix’s North American store lists a physical PS5 edition and says play requires an internet connection and an additional data download. Buyers considering the disc should account for that requirement; the listing does not say how large the download is.
