It brings together the series’ major games, related stories, and Kingdom Hearts III’s Re Mind expansion, but not every listed item is playable: two are cinematic or cutscene compilations. The available hands-on review, by Meristation’s Israel Mallén, covers the Switch 2 edition and reports generally smooth performance in the older collection alongside some issues in Birth by Sleep 0.2 and Kingdom Hearts III.
What is in Kingdom Hearts Collection I–III?
Square Enix describes the package as “A value‑packed bundle featuring three collections: KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC).” The three products combine playable games with films and cutscene compilations:

The package is therefore a substantial way to gather the connected stories, but it is not a bundle of ten full games. Square Enix’s product page lists the collection contents and platform bonuses.

What does the Switch 2 review say?
Meristation reviewer Israel Mallén updated a hands-on review on October 5, 2026, for the Switch 2 edition. The impressions are specific to that version; they do not establish performance on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Windows.
#1 Best Overall
- KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] Amazon Exclusive Edition includes a double-sided poster.
- A value packed bundle featuring three collections: KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC).
- This product is also included in other bundle sets. Please ensure you do not purchase the same content more than once.
- Platform-exclusive Keyblade "Midnight Blue" included with purchase!
- To play the physical version of KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III], an internet connection and additional data download are required.
Performance and image quality
- Mallén reports that the 1.5+2.5 ReMIX portion runs smoothly.
- Birth by Sleep 0.2 has some performance irregularity, according to the review.
- In Kingdom Hearts III, the reviewer notes less stability during busier battles when docked, and reduced image clarity in handheld play.
These are qualitative observations from the review, not results from a controlled benchmark. Read the Meristation review for Mallén’s full Switch 2 assessment.
What the review likes—and what it finds familiar
Mallén’s positive case is the scale of the compilation and the appeal of playing the series natively on Switch 2, including portably. The main reservation is that the package adds little compared with earlier collections, aside from platform-exclusive Keyblades. That novelty criticism needs context: this edition includes Re Mind, while Sony’s US listing for the older PS4 All-In-One Package names 1.5+2.5, 2.8, and Kingdom Hearts III.

- ATLUS' newest fantasy JRPG with beautiful anime cutscenes
- Free demo with save-data carry over
- Awaken 40+ "Archetypes," magical powers that lie dormant in your heart
- Innovative battle system that blends strategic turn-based combat and dynamic real-time combat
How does it compare with the older All-In-One Package?
The older package remains relevant if you already own a PS4 or are comparing editions. Sony’s US PlayStation Store currently lists its digital All-In-One Package at $99.99 and gives its PS4 release date as March 27, 2019. That displayed price can change and is specific to the US store; it is not a like-for-like price comparison with the new collection. Compare your local prices, formats, sale status, and DLC before deciding.

Which edition should you choose?
- Choose the new collection if you want the bundled content on Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Windows, or specifically want Re Mind included in the package. Check your regional store for its current price and availability.
- Consider the older All-In-One Package if you are buying for PS4 and its local price and contents suit you. If you already own the earlier bundles, compare what you own with the new package’s contents before paying again.
- Choose by format and platform, not the Keyblade bonus alone. Square Enix lists Long Night for Switch 2, Midnight Blue for PS5, and Phantom Green for Xbox Series X|S. These are in-game Keyblades, not physical collectibles.
- If buying a boxed copy, plan for a download. Square Enix says physical editions for PS5 and Switch 2 require an internet connection to download additional data. The announcement does not state the download size or specify exactly how much content is on the cartridge or disc.
What to know before launch
The collection is scheduled to launch October 8, 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows. Square Enix cautions that availability can vary by region. Its announcement also says digital preorders on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S were offered with 48-hour early access; check the current regional store terms to confirm whether that offer applies to your purchase.
