Yes—fan-made multiplayer projects for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II are available, but the experience depends on which one you choose. KCD:MP is an open-beta, server-based way to roam and role-play with other players; it does not let you play Henry’s campaign together. A separate early-access project, Kingdom Come: Together, says it supports campaign and side-quest co-op.
What KCD:MP multiplayer actually offers
KCD:MP (KCD Multiplayer) is a free fan-made platform for joining or hosting servers. Its October 2026 open-beta announcement describes a shared-world role-play experience, including a public Basic RP server set in Kuttenberg. The project says its server features include other players, synchronized combat, horses, dogs, bows, crossbows, hand cannons, proximity voice chat, parties and emotes. Doors, gates, chests, merchant trading, time and weather can also have shared state.

What happens on a server depends on its game mode. KCD:MP’s FAQ describes Basic RP as supporting text and voice role-play, riding, parties and combat with other players. Planned systems such as jobs, farming, factions and territories were not included in the modes available at the FAQ’s September 29, 2026 review.

This is a fan project, not a Warhorse Studios or Deep Silver multiplayer release. KCD:MP says it is not affiliated with or endorsed by either company. Its beta announcement also warns that the build is early and bugs are expected.

Is this co-op for Henry’s story?
No—not in KCD:MP. Its FAQ explicitly says the project does not let players play Henry’s campaign together. The beta announcement says story quests and the single-player cast are absent, so expect shared-server roaming and role-play rather than cooperative progress through the main story.
If you want campaign co-op
Kingdom Come: Together is a separate project. Its Nexus Mods listing describes an early-access mod that supports playing the campaign and side quests with a friend using a host’s save. Both players need the Steam game and the KCD2 Modding Tools build. Those are the project’s own claims; its early-access status means readers should check the listing for current requirements and compatibility before trying it.

Another server-based option
Kingdoms Connected is also a separate open-beta multiplayer sandbox/server platform. Its listing says the single-player story remains single-player, so it should not be mistaken for campaign co-op. The three projects are not interchangeable:

KCD:MP requirements and how to join
The download page lists client build 0.38.0, dated October 3, 2026. It requires the Steam edition of KCD2 at game build 1.5.6, a 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC, and Steam running. The FAQ says Game Pass/Microsoft Store, Epic and GOG editions are not currently supported; they would need their own builds.

- Download the KCD:MP client archive from the project’s download page and unpack it; the project distributes an archive, not an installer.
- Leave Steam running, launch the client, and enter a display name.
- Select a listed server, or enter a friend’s server address, then join.
The project says its launcher checks the game version and leaves the game folder and single-player saves untouched. Because compatibility is version-specific and can change, check the project download page again if the listed game build has advanced.

The project’s October 2026 download page offers dedicated server downloads for Windows and Linux. The server uses .NET 10, UDP port 7777 by default, a configuration file, and Lua or C# game modes. Running a server yourself is optional: the page also lists hosting partners for people who prefer a rented persistent server. Partner availability may change.

How many players can join?
KCD:MP’s FAQ does not establish a verified human-player limit. It reports that the team tested a single server with 500 bots walking around and doing things at once. That is a project-reported bot test, not evidence that 500 people can join or that performance will remain good with that many human players.
