What is the reported Kindle Scribe Colorsoft deal?
AOB News reported that Amazon offered the 64GB Kindle Scribe Colorsoft for $519.99 on October 6, compared with a stated $679.99 list price. The report described the offer as the model’s lowest-ever price, but Amazon’s event and product information do not verify either the exact sale price or a full historical price record.

Amazon advertised Prime Big Deal Days for October 6–7, 2026, a 48-hour event for Prime members. Because that window ends on October 7, check the listing for the current checkout price, stock, and eligibility before buying. Amazon says shoppers can use Price History on product pages to view up to 365 days of price information. That can help assess recent pricing, but by itself it does not prove an all-time low.
Which Kindle is included in the deal?
The reported price applies to the 64GB Kindle Scribe Colorsoft (1st Generation), released in 2025—not every Kindle with “Scribe” or “Colorsoft” in its name. Amazon identifies the Scribe Colorsoft as a writing-focused device with a color display and an included Premium Pen. It is available with 32GB or 64GB of internal storage; Amazon lists approximately 49.94GB as available to users on the 64GB model.

- Bring ideas to life in color – The custom-built Colorsoft display delivers high-contrast, paper-like color that’s easy on the eyes without distracting flashes when writing.
- Get a pen-on-paper feel: The textured surface and responsive display create a smooth, paper-like writing experience. Plus, the included pen never needs charging and has a built-in eraser and shortcut button for tools like the highlighter.
- More room to read, write, and think – Just 5.4mm thin and 400g light, with fluid performance and a large 11" display that gives you space to work comfortably.
- Get more out of your notes – Take notes in the built-in notebook, then use AI to find information, ask questions about what you’ve written, and generate summaries. You can also clean up handwriting or convert it to text.
Do not confuse it with the smaller Kindle Colorsoft, the monochrome Kindle Scribe (3rd Generation), or Amazon’s 2026 Kindle refreshes. Amazon’s support catalog treats these as separate products.
What does the Scribe Colorsoft offer?
- Color display and handwriting: Amazon lists a color screen and an included Premium Pen for handwritten notes.
- Reading and accessibility: The device has a touchscreen, adjustable screen light, dark mode, and VoiceView screen reader support over Bluetooth.
- Charging and storage: It charges via USB-C and comes in 32GB and 64GB capacities.
These features make it different in purpose from a basic reading-only Kindle: the Scribe Colorsoft combines reading with handwriting and annotation. The available product information does not establish a full performance comparison with other Kindle models.

Is $519.99 a good price?
The reported $519.99 price is $160 below the $679.99 list-price comparison in AOB News. Whether that is a worthwhile buy depends on whether you want the color display, note-taking features, and 64GB capacity; the discount alone does not show how it compares with every recent or historical price. Amazon’s Price History can provide up to a year of context, while the “lowest-ever” claim remains the deal report’s wording rather than an independently verified record.
