Kenny Omega on His My Hero Academia AEW All In: London Entrance

Kenny Omega said his entrance at AEW All In: London was built around All Might, the hero from My Hero Academia, and that All Might’s stomach injury and fading power reminded him of his own diverticulitis. In a recent Crunchyroll interview, as reported by Wrestling Inc. on September 27, 2026, he said he had long wanted to make an armored All Might-inspired entrance and that the anime influence was meant to carry into the theme and the match. The entrance itself used My Hero Academia music and narration by Kenta Miyake, the Japanese voice actor for All Might.

What Omega said he wanted from the entrance

Omega’s starting point was a costume idea. He wanted to walk out as an armored version of All Might, and he described the idea as one he had held for a long time. In Wrestling Inc.’s transcription of the Crunchyroll interview, he is quoted as saying: “I really think that I’d like to do an armored All Might.”

An armored All Might

The armor was the visual hook, but Omega framed it as part of a larger plan. According to the same report, he wanted the anime inspiration to shape more than the walk-out. The theme music and the match were meant to connect to the character as well, so the entrance and the bout would read as one piece of storytelling rather than a costume added to an otherwise unrelated night.

The stomach injury and his diverticulitis

The detail that gave the entrance its personal weight was not the armor. It was All Might’s injury. Omega is quoted as saying, “All Might incurred that terrible stomach injury,” and he linked the character’s loss of strength to his own experience with diverticulitis. He went further, saying, “I have scars that are pretty much in the exact same spot.” Those lines are the clearest statement of why the character mattered to him, and they show that the tribute was built around a shared physical struggle rather than only around the hero’s look.

Where the comparison stops

The parallel is Omega’s own. He is describing how a character’s stomach injury and diminishing ability felt familiar to him, not making a claim about the medical details of either condition. Readers should treat it as a personal reading of the story, and nothing in the reporting suggests that All Might’s injury is meant to be a literal match for diverticulitis.

What aired at All In: London

AEW published official footage from the event on August 30, 2026, titled “AEW World Champion Kenny Omega channels My Hero Academia for epic entrance | AEW All In: London.” The video is the primary record of the entrance itself. Wrestling Inc. reports that the entrance used music from My Hero Academia and narration by Kenta Miyake, who voices All Might. Those are the two audio elements to check in the footage if you want to match the reporting to what viewers saw.

Omega’s thank-you post

Omega also posted about the entrance on August 30, 2026, a post reproduced in the Wrestling Inc. report and in a Yahoo Sports repost of it. The message reads: “The rest is up to you, Will. Thank you to My Hero Academia, Crunchyroll, and Miyake-san for allowing me to represent All Might.” It is a public acknowledgment to the franchise, the streaming partner, and the voice actor, and it frames the entrance as borrowed representation of a character rather than a creation of his own.

Why the diverticulitis detail carries context

AEW’s official Kenny Omega biography states that diverticulitis sidelined him for “400-plus days” before his return in January 2025. That is the biography’s rounded wording, and it is the only duration the sources give for his absence. It explains why the injury theme in the entrance reads as personal to him: the period away from the ring is documented by AEW itself, and the entrance connects that period to the character.
