The 270 L manufacturer figure is gross capacity; CHOICE’s 269 L figure is its listed total volume. Keep those source-specific figures distinct rather than treating them as directly interchangeable. Allow for the stated 100 mm top clearance as well as any additional space your installation requires.

What features and controls does it have?
Kelvinator lists frost-free cooling, multiflow air delivery, an interior light, adjustable glass shelves, a chiller compartment, a humidity-controlled crisper and separate temperature controls. The controls are described as manual, internal and rotary. The doors are reversible, and the appliance uses R600a refrigerant.
The manufacturer says the chiller compartment is intended for items such as meat, fish, cheeses and smallgoods. This describes its intended use, not an independently measured temperature or guarantee of food-storage performance.

How much energy does the KTM2700WE use?
Kelvinator publishes annual consumption of 425 kWh and a 2-star energy rating under AS/NZS 4474.2:2009. CHOICE lists the same claimed consumption and rating. These are published specifications for this model, not a current comparison with newer refrigerators or a statement of measured household usage.

What does the available review evidence establish?
CHOICE records the KTM2700WE as tested in 2015. Its publicly visible listing provides specifications, including 269 L total volume, the claimed energy use and a two-year warranty. The page’s heat-load processing score, coldest and warmest sections, noise level, 10-year running cost and testing standard are members-only in the version consulted. Without those results, there is no sound basis here to claim that the model performed well or poorly, or to characterize its noise, temperature consistency, reliability, customer satisfaction or food-safety performance.

- Confirm the exact model and condition. The model is discontinued, so establish whether an offer is new old stock, used or another condition, and inspect the appliance accordingly.
- Measure the installation space. Compare the listed 1680 × 550 × 595 mm dimensions with your opening and account for the manufacturer’s 100 mm air space above the fridge.
- Compare energy labels carefully. The published 2-star and 425 kWh/year figures use AS/NZS 4474.2:2009; verify the basis of any newer model’s label before drawing a direct comparison.
- Check support and parts before committing. Ask Kelvinator or the seller about serviceability and the specific part you may need. Current stock of compatible replacement parts has not been established.
- Do not infer test quality from specifications. The accessible CHOICE information does not provide the detailed 2015 performance results.
For a comparison with a currently available compact top-mount refrigerator, assess usable capacity, full installation dimensions, current standardized energy information, cooling and temperature performance, warranty, service and parts support, and the actual local price.
