Did Kawasaki really build a talking motorcycle?

That was a development concept, not confirmation of a finished, named retail model. The Knight Rider comparison came from coverage of the concept, including Futurism’s article, updated November 28, 2016; it was not the name of a Kawasaki motorcycle.
How was the proposed AI supposed to work?
Kawasaki’s 2016 release called the technology an “Emotion Generation Engine and Natural Language Dialogue System,” developed by cocoro SB Corp. It said the system could recognize emotion from a rider’s voice and infer intent from spoken words. The envisioned motorcycle would draw on cloud-accessible chassis and riding data as well as internet information to provide context-sensitive hints or safety advice. What did Kawasaki demonstrate by 2020?
In November 2020, Kawasaki described a Rider Support System proof of concept that used a cloud service and a smartphone as an intermediary for two-way communication. The company said internal verification had reached a final stage and that public-road verification tests were underway in Japan. Kawasaki cautioned that app interaction should be limited to times when the motorcycle is not being operated and it is safe to do so. The announcement documents a proof of concept and verification work, not evidence that every listed function reached a public product.

Is Kawasaki’s AI motorcycle for sale?
The cited Kawasaki announcements do not identify a production model or commercial name for the personality-forming AI motorcycle, or give a price, release date, geographic launch, or consumer purchase channel. The most accurate answer is that Kawasaki announced and developed concepts; the sources do not establish that this AI motorcycle is currently for sale.
“Kawasaki RIDEOLOGY Meets AI” is not identified in these announcements as the name of the 2016 concept or the 2020 proof of concept. The 2020 system is described as the Rider Support System. Without a source tying that phrase to a specific product, it should not be treated as proof that Kawasaki sells the AI motorcycle under that name.

Is the hydrogen motorcycle or CORLEO the same project?
No. Kawasaki has announced other experimental mobility projects, but its sources do not identify them as the Knight Rider-style AI motorcycle.

What should a future product announcement clarify?
If Kawasaki announces a retail version, the details that distinguish a demo from a useful, safe product will include which models support it, what features are actually available, whether a phone or cloud connection is required, and how rider data is handled. Buyers would also need the launch region, price, and whether the technology is standard equipment, an accessory, or a prototype feature. The existing announcements do not settle those questions.
