You can’t download a JW.org app directly onto a Samsung Smart TV using the TV-app options JW.ORG lists. Instead, try playing videos at jw.org in the TV’s built-in browser, or watch through a supported streaming device or a connection from another device. Browser playback depends on the TV model.
Is there a JW.org app for Samsung Smart TV?
JW.ORG names the JW Broadcasting app for Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV (4th generation), and Roku—not for Samsung Smart TVs. Its TV-viewing help does not provide a Samsung app installation path. JW.ORG’s TV-viewing FAQ lists the available viewing methods, while its JW Broadcasting help provides platform-specific guidance.

JW Broadcasting and JW Library are different apps. JW Library’s help covers Android, Apple, and Windows devices; it does not establish a way to install JW Library on a Samsung TV. Installing an Android APK is not a supported solution established by these instructions. See JW Library App help for its device guidance.
How to try watching jw.org in the Samsung TV browser
- Open the web browser on your Samsung TV.
- Go to jw.org.
- Open Library > Videos and select a video.
JW.ORG says a smart TV with a built-in browser may be able to play its videos, but playback is not supported on every smart-TV model. There is no Samsung model compatibility list or guarantee for a particular browser and TV combination, so a video that fails to play may reflect model compatibility rather than a missing app.

What to use if browser playback does not work
Use a streaming device with JW Broadcasting
JW.ORG lists JW Broadcasting for Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV (4th generation), and Roku, and provides installation guidance in its platform help. If you use one of these options, connect the streaming device to the Samsung TV and follow the relevant platform’s setup instructions. A separate device is only needed if the browser or another method does not work for you.
Cast or mirror from a device you already own
The FAQ identifies AirPlay from an Apple computer or mobile device to Apple TV, and casting from Chrome with Google Chromecast. These routes depend on having the relevant Apple or Chromecast equipment; the FAQ does not compare their cost or performance.
