Jurassic World Evolution 3 is best suited to PC players who want a large, creative park-building game with deep dinosaur life-cycle systems. It is a weaker pick for anyone who wants a light management game with little ongoing upkeep. Frontier Developments released it on 21 October 2025, and most of its headline additions, from juvenile dinosaurs to natural breeding, add to the park’s management workload as well as its appeal.
This review is built from Frontier’s launch announcement, the Steam store listing, Frontier Support’s guidance on the Deluxe upgrade, and published previews and reviews, with each opinion attributed to its source. It is not a hands-on performance test. It reports no frame rates, load times, or hardware benchmarks, and it does not list current PC system requirements.

Game modes
Frontier’s launch announcement names three modes. Each suits a different way of playing, so decide which one matters most before you judge the game.
Campaign: the narrative route
Frontier describes Campaign Mode as “an expansive globetrotting narrative.” It is the mode to pick if you want goals and a story to follow while you learn the systems.

- The Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection will come with the following fan-favorite titles, originally released across NES, Game Boy, SNES, and Genesis:
- Jurassic Park
- Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues
- Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition
Sandbox: open construction
Sandbox Mode lets you build a Jurassic World with no campaign structure. It suits players who want to focus on park design and enclosure layout rather than objectives.
Challenge: scenario play
Challenge Mode is a set of scenarios that Frontier describes as demanding. It suits players who like working to fixed targets and tuning a park to meet them.

The new systems
The launch announcement names these additions to the series. The publisher’s descriptions are the only detail available here, so how deep or well balanced each system feels is a question for your own play.
- Juvenile dinosaurs: Young animals are added to the park’s life cycle.
- Dimorphism: Frontier highlights male and female differences within a species.
- Natural breeding: Animals breed within the park rather than only being placed.
- Modular building: Construction is built from modular pieces.
- New attractions: Frontier lists new attractions among the series additions.
- Island Generator: A feature Frontier names among the key additions.
Creative control against management load
Published coverage splits on how the game’s control and workload balance out. PC Gamer’s preview, dated 1 October 2025, describes more customization and finer control over parks, and says the sequel puts less emphasis on dinosaur-driven chaos. It quotes game director Andy Fletcher: “We wanted to make it more flexible, more creative, and give players the chance to share their creations.”

- Dr. Ian Malcolm and Tyrannosaurus are ready to roam the park in this Jurassic Park iteration of the Funkoverse game.
- This set can play a simplified version of the game on its own or be combined with any of the main Funkoverse sets.
- Experiment with these two characters while building your team to see if you can win using their unique abilities.
- Light strategy game. Play as a stand-alone game or mix with other Funkoverse games.
- Includes 2 playable maps, as well as 2 exclusive Funkoverse Pop! Game figures, Dr. Ian Malcolm and T-Rex
TechRadar’s review, which covered the PC version, frames the game as a customizable park-management simulation and names micromanagement as its main cost. That is the trade-off to weigh: more control means more things to keep running. Whether that tending is enjoyable is a matter of personal taste, and the reviews quoted here agree on the trade-off rather than on the verdict.

Sharing through Frontier Workshop
Frontier says Frontier Workshop lets players showcase and download parks, dinosaur enclosures, and scenery, with cross-platform sharing. The publisher’s description does not say how easy the workshop is to browse or how well its downloads are curated, so treat that as a feature to check in your first session.
