It is explicitly 1:12 scale and includes 19 articulation points, two Lawgiver variants, alternate faces and hands, effects, and several display supports. The Cursed Earth version is another 1:12 option built around its fabric rad-cloak, while HIYA’s Dredd and Lawmaster MK II is a separate 1:18 vehicle set rather than a companion for a six-inch figure.
The short answer: choose by scale first
Judge Dredd collectibles in this comparison fall into two practical shelf categories. The 1:12 figures are the six-inch class: they are intended for detailed figure displays, interchangeable poses and costume-focused presentation. The 1:18 products are smaller and vehicle-oriented, making them useful for a Lawmaster scene but unsuitable as proportional partners for a six-inch Dredd.

| Product | Scale | Documented articulation | Best fit | Availability or price note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HIYA Exquisite Super ESJ0053 | 1:12; six inches | 19 points | Most fully specified all-purpose 1:12 display figure | $89.99 USD was displayed on the maker’s page when checked; price can change |
| Cursed Earth Dredd | 1:12 | 18 points | Outfit-led, weathered wilderness display | Sideshow page checked showed sold out or unavailable |
| HIYA Dredd and Lawmaster MK II | 1:18 | Not stated | Smaller vehicle-and-figure scene | Separate mini-scale category |
| HIYA Judge Anderson: Hall of Heroes | 1:18 | Not stated | Companion character for the 1:18 line | Scale only; other specifications not stated here |
| Mezco One:12 Judge Dredd | One:12 | Not stated | Historical soft-goods interpretation | Past collectible; current stock and price are not established |
That distinction prevents the most common buying mistake: selecting a 1:18 Lawmaster set expecting it to look right beside a six-inch 1:12 figure. The ratio describes the intended miniature scale, not merely a product-line name.
HIYA Exquisite Super ESJ0053: the strongest documented 1:12 starting point
ESJ0053 is identified by its maker as a six-inch, 1:12 Judge Dredd. Its specification is unusually concrete, so it is the clearest benchmark for comparing other versions. The advertised figure has 19 articulation points and is supplied with a broad set of costume, weapon and display accessories.

- A PREVIEWS Exclusive
- Based on the model from the pages of 2000 AD
- Gorgeously crafted set
- Judge Dredd features 16 points of articulation
- Judge Dredd measures 4.13” tall
What is included
- Shoulder and joint pads, chain and badge of office, boot holster, utility belt and helmet.
- Both Mark One and Mark Two type Lawgiver handguns.
- Four alternate faces.
- Five pairs of alternate hands.
- A can of Boing spray, a Boing spray special-effect piece, gun-flame effects and smoke effects.
- A nine-hole base, a separate storage base and a three-section posing bracket.
The two Lawgiver versions matter if you want to stage different comic-inspired configurations without sourcing another weapon. Multiple faces and hand pairs also give the figure more expressive and gestural options than a basic single-head, closed-fist release. The effects are intended for display scenes; the description establishes that they are included, but not how securely they fit or how durable they are.
Posing and display hardware
Nineteen articulation points provide the largest documented joint count in this comparison. That number indicates the available joint locations, not a guarantee about range, resistance or long-term durability. The three-section bracket is useful for supported airborne or dramatic poses, while the nine-hole base offers several placement points. The separate storage base is a practical distinction for collectors who want to keep spare hands, faces or effects together rather than loose in a drawer.
HIYA also describes fabric clothing on ESJ0053. Fabric can create a more natural silhouette than molded plastic in some poses, but the product description does not establish tailoring quality, seam finish or how the material behaves over time. Treat those as inspection points if you buy from a retailer with product photographs or a return policy.

Price and purchase timing
The HIYA page displayed $89.99 USD when checked. That is a dated page observation, not a permanent MSRP or a promise of current stock. Currency conversion, regional distribution, shipping and taxes can change the final amount. Verify the live listing before ordering, and confirm that the seller is describing ESJ0053 rather than another Dredd release.

Cursed Earth Dredd: the 1:12 choice for a distinctive outfit
The Cursed Earth version stays in the 1:12 category but changes the visual priority. Its defining feature is a fabric rad-cloak, giving the character a wasteland-travel appearance rather than the standard uniform-only presentation. Sideshow’s product description lists 18 articulation points, accessories, a base and a nameplate.
Why the rad-cloak changes the display
A cloak creates movement and volume around the torso and shoulders, so this version reads differently even when placed beside another six-inch Dredd. It is especially suited to a dusty, frontier or Cursed Earth diorama. The fabric is a meaningful material distinction from a purely molded-costume figure, but the listing does not provide independent information about fabric weight, fastening or pose retention.
Availability and prototype caveat
The Sideshow page checked reported the item as sold out or unavailable. That status can change, but it should not be treated as evidence that a currently orderable unit exists. The same page notes that the shown item is a prototype and that the production piece may differ. Expect possible changes in paint, fabric, tooling or accessory finish between promotional images and a shipped release.
Recommended Free Tools
Choose this version when the cloak and nameplate are more important to your shelf than the ESJ0053’s larger documented accessory package. Do not assume its accessories, bases or hands interchange with ESJ0053 simply because both are labeled 1:12; connector sizes and sculpt proportions can vary by release.

HIYA Dredd and Lawmaster MK II: a 1:18 vehicle scene
HIYA’s Dredd and Lawmaster MK II belongs to the company’s 1:18 mini line. It should be evaluated as a smaller-scale scene built around the motorcycle, not as a six-inch 1:12 figure bundle. The vehicle emphasis makes it the logical choice for collectors who want Dredd riding or standing with a Lawmaster rather than a figure-only portrait.
What the scale means on a mixed shelf
A 1:18 Dredd will look materially smaller beside ESJ0053 or another six-inch 1:12 figure. Even if the characters share a shelf, the difference will read as a scale mismatch rather than a natural distance between subjects. Keep the set in a dedicated 1:18 section, use forced perspective deliberately, or display it with other mini-line vehicles and figures.
Because the supplied specifications do not state articulation count, figure height or the exact contents beyond the Dredd-and-Lawmaster pairing, do not infer those details from the 1:12 release. Check the current product page for the vehicle’s included parts, base and assembly requirements before buying.
Judge Anderson: Hall of Heroes
HIYA also lists Judge Anderson in its Hall of Heroes figure at 1:18 scale. That makes Anderson a potential companion for the 1:18 Dredd/Lawmaster display, subject to confirming the current release contents. It is not a proportional match for 1:12 ESJ0053 or the 1:12 Cursed Earth figure.

Mezco One:12 Judge Dredd: a historical alternative
Mezco’s One:12 Judge Dredd is a past collectible whose old product description is reproduced by a collector-tracking site. The description lists a soft-goods uniform, Lawgiver, daystick, handcuffs, grenades, alternate hands, a display base and a posing post.
Those details make it relevant to a historical comparison, particularly for collectors who prefer fabric uniform elements and a police-equipment loadout. However, the consulted page is secondary rather than an authoritative current manufacturer or retailer listing. It cannot establish present availability, price, production status, comparative quality or hands-on performance. Treat listings for this release as used or historical-market research and inspect photographs, completeness and condition carefully.

Select the Cursed Earth version when the rad-cloak is the reason you are collecting. Choose the Lawmaster set for a smaller vehicle display
Choose the 1:18 set if the motorcycle scene is the priority and you are prepared to keep it with other 1:18 pieces. Do not buy it as an economical way to add a vehicle to a six-inch 1:12 shelf; the scales are different.
Choose Mezco’s release only as a researched historical purchase
The Mezco One:12 version is worth investigating if you specifically want its soft-goods uniform and listed equipment. Since current stock, price and condition vary and the available description is secondary, assess the individual listing rather than assuming a standard new-in-box purchase.
Planning a coherent display
- Set the scale boundary. Decide whether the shelf is 1:12 or 1:18 before comparing accessories or vehicles.
- Measure the display footprint. Account for the figure, base, posing bracket, cloak spread and any motorcycle clearance; product pages do not establish a universal footprint for these releases.
- Reserve space for loose parts. ESJ0053 includes multiple faces, hands, effects and a storage base, while other releases have their own accessory counts.
- Use support hardware deliberately. A bracket or posing post can prevent falls in extended poses, but inspect the connection and balance rather than forcing a joint.
- Keep incompatible parts separate. Matching 1:12 labels do not prove that hands, weapons, bases or pegs will fit across manufacturers or releases.
What product descriptions cannot tell you
The listed articulation numbers and accessories are manufacturer or retailer specifications, not independent tests. They do not establish paint accuracy, joint tightness, plastic durability, fabric longevity, accessory fit, smell, packaging quality or value for money. Examine current photographs and return terms when those factors matter.

Bottom line
For most collectors seeking a documented six-inch Judge Dredd, HIYA ESJ0053 is the clearest starting point: 1:12 scale, 19 articulation points, two Lawgiver types, alternate faces and hands, effects and substantial display support. The Cursed Earth figure offers a more distinctive fabric-cloak presentation at the same broad scale, but its cited listing was unavailable. HIYA’s Dredd and Lawmaster MK II is the right concept only if you want a separate 1:18 vehicle scene, while Mezco’s One:12 release belongs in the historical and secondhand-research category.
