Short answer: JTX cannot yet be ranked against Solana perpetual-futures venues on fees or liquidity because its own homepage places “Perpetual Futures” in a separate “Next” section, while its explainer and surfaced app document spot trading. As of October 13, 2026, the reviewed official material does not verify that JTX perps are live. JTX does document a self-custodial spot interface, market and resting-limit orders, Smart Fill, and a variable platform fee. Drift documents active perpetual markets, and Jupiter’s support hub identifies a Perps & JLP product area, but the available official pages do not provide a current, like-for-like fee or liquidity dataset for all three.
What the evidence establishes right now
The most important distinction is product status, not a small difference in trading rates. JTX’s official homepage lists spot trading, pro orders and receipts as current surfaces. It presents “Perpetual Futures” under a separate “More markets, more surfaces” heading followed by “Next.” JTX’s explainer describes spot transactions, and the user-facing app reviewed for this comparison shows spot-trading controls. That combination does not establish a launched perpetual-futures product.

Drift’s official documentation identifies perpetual markets and explains margin and keeper mechanics. Jupiter’s official support hub has a “Perps & JLP” area. Those pages support the existence of documented perps products, but they do not by themselves create a comparable price or liquidity table. Zeta Markets should not be treated as a current alternative: its own trading-specifications page says it ceased operating in May 2025.
Accordingly, the defensible conclusion is not that JTX is cheaper, more liquid or less capable. It is that a JTX-versus-perps comparison is currently a status-aware comparison: JTX’s documented spot interface can be examined on its own terms, while a live JTX perps fee and liquidity ranking remains unverified.

JTX’s documented product and custody model
Self-custody rather than an exchange account
JTX describes itself as a self-custodial Solana trading interface, not an exchange or custodian. You connect and control your own wallet; JTX says it does not hold your private keys. Transactions execute on Solana and through third-party protocols. Some order paths can move tokens into a program-owned onchain account while an open order is active, so “self-custody” does not mean every token remains in the wallet address at every moment of an order’s lifecycle. Read the transaction and program permissions before approving an order.
JTX also notes that some transactions may use Jito’s Block Engine or Block Assembly Marketplace. That is a possible routing path, not a statement that every transaction uses it, and it does not mean JTX controls Solana’s ordering layer.
Launch timing and what is still subject to change
JTX’s official explainer dates its public launch to July 21, 2026. Its terms, dated August 5, 2026, say features may be in development or “coming soon.” Those terms also disclaim guaranteed execution, fills, prices and timing. A feature shown in promotional material therefore needs confirmation in the current app before you treat it as available for a particular market.
How JTX fees work
Separate the cost components
JTX says it charges a platform fee on filled transactions. Network costs and third-party protocol charges are separate. Depending on the transaction, a user may also encounter Solana priority or execution-related costs. The practical total is therefore not just a headline platform percentage.
JTX’s guidance says fees vary by asset and order type and directs users to the estimate in the order ticket for the specific transaction. That estimate is the appropriate current figure for your wallet, market and size; a generic number copied from an older article is not a reliable quote.
Why there is no JTX perps fee number to compare
No current JTX perpetual-futures fee schedule is established in the reviewed official material. Quoting the spot platform-fee language as a perps maker or taker rate would mix products and omit protocol, network, funding or borrowing costs. Until JTX identifies a live perps product and publishes its applicable schedule, the correct table entry is “not established,” not zero and not an inferred percentage.

How to calculate a real transaction cost
- Identify the product: confirm that the ticket is for a perpetual contract rather than a spot swap or spot limit order.
- Record the notional and side: write down the order size, market and whether you are adding or removing liquidity, if those labels are available.
- Read the complete estimate: capture the JTX platform amount, Solana network amount and any third-party protocol or priority charge shown before signing.
- For perps, add position costs: include any published funding, borrow, liquidation or settlement charge that applies to the contract. Do not assume a spot estimate includes them.
- Compare like with like: use the same notional, market, maker/taker status, time and jurisdiction at each venue.
A useful comparison is an all-in cost per round trip, expressed in the same currency: entry fee plus execution costs, holding costs such as funding, and exit fee. Keep network and protocol amounts visible rather than hiding them inside one percentage.

Markets and margin
Drift’s official margin page, last updated August 27, 2026, lists SOL-PERP, BTC-PERP, ETH-PERP and HYPE-PERP. It provides market-specific initial and maintenance margin ratios. Those ratios are market parameters, not a universal leverage promise: your liquidation distance changes with the contract, account equity and position size.
The page supports a statement that Drift documents those perps markets and their margin requirements. It does not supply a complete, current trader fee schedule in the material reviewed here, so it cannot be used to produce a verified all-in fee comparison with JTX.
Keeper incentives are not the trader fee schedule
Drift’s keeper-incentives page, last updated June 23, 2026, says keepers receive a portion of taker fees for matching orders and that liquidation rewards vary by market. This explains an incentive mechanism for the actors who help match or liquidate positions. It is not, by itself, the percentage a trader pays as maker or taker, nor does it state current liquidity.
What is documented for Jupiter Perps
Jupiter’s official support hub identifies a “Perps & JLP” product area. The specific official material reviewed does not expose a current, dated fee schedule or a comparable liquidity statistic. That means you can identify the product category, but you should not import figures from an unaffiliated comparison page and present them as verified current Jupiter terms.

Liquidity: what can and cannot be ranked
Liquidity is a measurement, not a slogan
“Liquidity” can mean order-book depth near the mid-price, pool liquidity, open interest, traded volume, quoted spread, or the slippage actually realized on a specified order. These measures answer different questions. A venue can show high volume yet move substantially on a large order, while a smaller market can execute a particular notional with less impact at one moment.
The JTX evidence boundary
JTX’s documentation says fills depend on available liquidity and market conditions, but it does not provide a current, comparable perpetuals depth, volume or open-interest statistic. No common-date, common-method figures were established for JTX, Jupiter and Drift in the reviewed official pages. Therefore claims such as “deepest,” “most liquid” or “lowest slippage” would overstate the evidence.
How to make a future liquidity comparison fair
- Choose one measure, such as executable depth within 10 basis points of mid, and use it for every venue.
- Use the same contract, notional and timestamp. SOL-PERP on one venue is not comparable with a different asset or a pool-wide total.
- State whether the number is displayed depth, open interest, dated volume or a simulated market order.
- Record the data source and retrieval time; liquidity changes continuously.
- Report realized slippage separately from quoted depth, because a quote is not a completed trade.
JTX’s “Good Trade” warning
JTX’s terms describe “Good Trade” comparisons, where shown, as estimates based on limited-depth sampled data from a single reference venue at a moment in time. They are not trades executed on that reference venue and are not a best-execution guarantee. Treat the display as an estimate for that transaction, not as independent proof that JTX has superior liquidity.

JTX order types and execution risks
Market orders
JTX documents market orders for its spot interface. A market order seeks execution under current conditions rather than guaranteeing a particular price. The final result depends on available liquidity, route and network conditions.
Resting limit orders
JTX’s resting-limit guide describes a supported limit order resting in an onchain book. A limit price controls the worst acceptable price you specify, but it does not guarantee that the order will fill. An order can remain open, fill partially or expire or be canceled according to the interface’s rules.
Smart Fill
Smart Fill divides a large order into a sequence of smaller orders. JTX’s terms expressly say that slicing is not guaranteed to reduce price impact or total cost. Individual slices can fail or fill partially, and the combined result can cost more than one transaction. Use it as an execution option, not as a promised savings feature.

Fills, prices and timing are not guaranteed
JTX’s August 5, 2026 terms disclaim guaranteed execution, fills, prices and timing. In a volatile market, an estimate shown before signing can differ from the settled result. Keep enough wallet balance for the quoted network and protocol amounts, and inspect the confirmed transaction rather than assuming the preview is final.
Why historical Zeta fees should not enter a current comparison
Zeta Markets’ trading-specifications documentation preserves historical figures of 0.10% taker and 0.02% maker. The same page states: “Zeta Markets has ceased operating as of May 2025.” Those percentages are therefore historical documentation, not a current competitor price. Including them in a 2026 fee leaderboard would imply an operating venue where the official notice says there is none.
A practical decision process for traders
If you need a live perpetual contract today
- Open the venue’s current app and confirm that the desired contract can be selected, not merely mentioned in a roadmap or help-center category.
- Check the market’s margin, liquidation and funding information before depositing collateral.
- Read the fee preview for the exact notional and side. Save a screenshot or transaction record with the date and time.
- Inspect the displayed depth or pool conditions and simulate a small order if appropriate. Do not infer execution quality from a marketing statement.
- Verify the wallet transaction, program account behavior and withdrawal path before committing a larger amount.
If you are evaluating JTX specifically
- Look for a live perps selector and a named underlying protocol or venue in the current JTX app.
- Confirm that the contract has published margin, liquidation, funding and fee rules.
- Use the ticket’s current estimate for platform, network and third-party charges.
- Read the terms for any account movement, partial-fill behavior and Smart Fill conditions.
- Only then compare the resulting all-in cost and execution data with the same measurements from another venue.
If those checks reveal only spot controls and a “Next” label for perpetuals, treat JTX as a spot interface with a planned or unverified perps surface rather than as a current perps venue.
Referral wording and what it does not prove
JTX’s homepage advertises a referral reward of 20% of referred traders’ fees for as long as they trade. This is a published program claim, not a discount to the referred trader, a liquidity statistic or evidence of lower execution cost. Eligibility, geography, duration rules and other terms should be verified in the live program before relying on it.
What to monitor before this comparison can change
- Product launch: JTX should identify a live perps interface, supported contracts and the underlying protocol or venue.
- Fee disclosure: a dated schedule should distinguish maker and taker treatment, platform charges, network costs, protocol costs, funding, borrowing and any discounts.
- Liquidity data: JTX, Jupiter and Drift should be measured with the same market, timestamp, notional and metric.
- Feature confirmation: label each order type as spot or perps and verify it in the current user-facing app.
- Status checks: recheck operating status when updating the article; Zeta’s official page currently records cessation in May 2025.
Bottom line for the title’s three comparison points
Fees: JTX documents a variable platform fee on filled transactions plus separate network and third-party costs, with the order ticket as the transaction-specific source. No JTX perps schedule, or complete like-for-like Drift and Jupiter schedule, is established here.
Liquidity: JTX provides no comparable current perps statistic in the reviewed material, and the cited official Drift and Jupiter pages do not supply one either. A numerical ranking would be unsupported.
Features: JTX documents spot market orders, resting limit orders and Smart Fill, with explicit execution caveats. Drift documents named perps markets and margin parameters; Jupiter documents a Perps & JLP product area. These are different evidence scopes, not a proof that JTX currently offers equivalent perpetual trading.
